Mmm...mmm...mmm: Indoctrinating the children.

According to the posting on YouTube, "This was filmed around June 19, 2009 at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ."

I found this line particularly offensive: "Red, yellow, black and white, all are equal in your sight."

Now, Christians talk about all men being equal in the sight of God, but in the sight of Barack Obama? Is this one more demonstration of the Messiah syndrome?

Actually, the sentiment applied to Obama is demonstrably untrue. The white cop in Boston, James Crowley, who arrested Obama's Yale professor friend, Henry Gates. certainly was not equal in Obama's sight to his liberal buddy. Crowley is white and Obama, knowing zilch about the situation, immediately profiled him as a racist because of his skin color. Gates, is black, hence, in the sight of Obama, he had to be the victim of racism. Funny, how it never works the other way. Black on white crime is rarely labled racist.

No, not only are we all not equal in the sight of liberals like Obama (remember the union thugs who were ushered into Carnahan's town hall meeting ahead of his riffraff constituents outside), but we're all racists now if we dare to disagree with the anointed one.

There is something particularly troubling, however, about the indoctrination of children. We saw it during the campaign with children and young people being coached in Obama worship by adults. I don't remember ever seeing anything like this before and I've lived through quite a few presidents. Maybe there was a little of it with Jack and Jackie Kennedy and the Camelot mystique. But certainly nothing like this.

One last comment: children can't mention the name of God in the classroom or utter a prayer, but they can recite and sing what is essentially a song of "praise" to "Barack Hussein Obama?" What's wrong with this picture?

  1. We are desperately in need of remembering the First Commandment "I am the Lord They God thou shalt not have strange gods before Me."

  2. Come, Lord Jesus, come --- Non-believers in Christ are definitely like particle board: alright for cabinet making and behind-the-scene in the dark, but ever see a HOUSE made up of that capillary material in the daylight? When the wind blows, you know how it goes: structural collapse, no meatNbones bringing U.S. to the Great Beyond. Barack Obama’s exactly like that: controlled by the filthy rich, partial-birth-abortion’s STILL a mortal sin deserving of the Abode of the Damned. Here’s three things you’ll never see: Satan praying the Rosary, end-to-the-slaughter without the Return of the King, and stanky BO preaching abstinence to young people DOMINUS VOBISCUM Lookit our blog, friend, and write something profound. God bless you profusely.

Children are allowed to pray in school and can talk about God all they want. Where does it say that a public school will admonish children for uttering a prayer or mentioning God? Public schools are allowed to teach religion. Religion is part of culture and culture is a part of the curriculum. Public schools have nondenominational clubs for students who wish to participate. English classes read the Bible to talk about it as a piece of literature. Choirs sing and orchestras play pieces that are clearly religious. It's part of our culture and public schools cannot and will not deny students the opportunity to gain perspectives.

I thank God everyday for Barack Obama. He is the Messiah who will relieve our country and stop the downward spiral that the republican party so graciously brought upon our country. Thank you God for a strong leader, Barack Hussein Obama!

  4. If I were the principal at this school I would want to see what curricular objectives were a part of this lesson. Since this is only a small clip I would hope there is more to this performance.

In my experience in public schools I never saw teachers "indoctrinate" students one way or another. No Child Left Behind leaves very little room for learning anything other than SOL testing (in Virginia). I really want to see people object to all the testing and lack of funding for schools. There's no time for real learning! A quality education should teach children to solve problems, think critically and how to learn on their own. I went through public education before NCLB and hopefully it will be a thing of the past when my little one reaches kindergarten or I'll be the "squeaky wheel" in school board meetings making demands.

  5. I originally was not going to post B.R.M.'s comment unless he removed the blasphemous statement that Obama is the Messiah, but after prayer I changed my mind. People need to see the mindless religious fervor of Obama supporters. Anything is justified for their "Messiah." But if that's true, who is your "God," B.R.M.? Certainly not the God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the true Messiah.

If B.R.M. is serious and not just being a smart aleck with his statement, he worships a false god, a creature, not the Creator.

As for his other statements about what school children are allowed to do, he is right from a legal standpoint. But that hasn't kept school systems from censoring children's artwork, book reports, silent saying of grace before meals, religious t-shirts, and Christmas songs. Christian college students have received bad grades for refusing to deny their beliefs. All these issues have been real legal cases fought by The Thomas More Law Center, the American Center for Law and Justice, Americans United for Life, and other legal organizations that fight for the rights of Christians in the marketplace. But how many Christians many never take action?

Christians are under siege and it's high time we put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6) and held our ground.
