Do You Know the Four Verses of the Star Spangled Banner?

One more nail in the coffin of the myth that this land was NOT founded on godly principles. Francis Scott Key wrote The Star Spangled Banner in 1814 as he viewed the bombardment of Fort McHenry from the deck of a British warship in the Chesapeake Bay. The song consists of four verses and the one sung by the marine in the video below is the fourth verse. Here are the complete lyrics of the Star Spangled Banner and a little about the history of the real banner, tattered and torn, which now rests at the Smithsonian Institution.

Semper Fi to this marine and a big thanks to him for a goosebumps performance. Notice the spontaneous rising to their feet by these tea party patriots. God bless them every one.

  2. What a great post. I homeschool my kids and they are currently memorizing all four verses. It is nice to see others also enjoy the ENTIRE song.
