Filmmakers Idolize Late-Term Abortionists

[The portrait on the left is "Saturn devouring his children" by the famous Spanish artist Francisco Goya. For more about Goya and his dark works see the comments.]

Two documentary makers want to turn the dismemberment of late-term infants respectable. Lana Wilson and Martha Shane paint the gruesome murder of unborn babies with happy faces and honor the abortionists who do them. So far they are only a third of the way through their violent fairy tale with the working title of "Trust Women" that idolizes Leroy Carhart who is about to offer late-term abortions in Maryland (See here.) and Warren Hern who once described the abortion prodedure thus:
“there is no possibility of denial of an act of destruction by the operator. It is before one’s eyes. The sensation of dismemberment flows through the forceps like an electric current.”
That the procedure is "shocking" doesn't stop the butcher from doing the dirty. And the deadly female duo think what he does is just fine. They are looking for money to complete their project and they have creative ideas for getting it -- condom bouquets and buttons that read, "trust women." But read the article for yourself. No doubt these foolish women will find a rich, pro-abortion male chauvinist pig who will happily finance their project. There is no shortage of venal men who love using women as playthings and casting off their little sons and daughters like Saturn eating his children.  Goya's monstrous picture is the perfect icon for the men who champion the murder of their own babies. As for the abortionists' who perform the crime? Goya's picture is too tame!

  1. If anyone can join in some protests of Carhart (those in DC/MD area) please check my blog from time to time (http://restore-dc-catholicism.blogspot.com/) as I will be posting notices of same. I just posted some news now. Thank you.

  2. Mary Ann, what is that obscene picture of the man on the left doing on your website? Is there any really good purpose to have that on your site? Please explain. Thank you.

  3. Look let them show this film! Make everyone you know go. Write your congressman! Patsy Schroeder (D-Colorado) would never allow the scenes of a Partial Birth Abortion to be shown in congress because she feared that the film would show the horrible way that these babies are destroyed.

They are so arrogant now that they lionize murderers, fine. Let them demonstrate how they kill babies. Once they figure this out though I doubt the film will be made. Even a caveman can figure this out...

  4. Sorry, Anonymous, I'm not taking this down. It is the perfect icon for the culture of death where fathers (and mothers) consume their own children.

It is one of the famous black paintings by the Spanish artist Francisco Goya who in his later life was consumed by the bitter strife taking place in Spain. His work became darker and darker.

The name of the painting is "Saturn Devouring his Children," a depiction of a mythological story. A prophecy predicted that one of Saturn's children would supplant him, so he devoured each upon birth. Saturn's wife saved their youngest son by replacing him with a stone. He was Jupiter and did grow up to overthrow his father.

This picture is on the cover of a pro-life pamphlet on the violence of abortion and it is the perfect icon of the evil of abortion.

  5. Mary Ann, you have my sincere apologies. I misinterpreted the picture. I see now that it is a man devouring a child. I remember now having seen it before this on another website, or maybe yours, and I interpreted it correctly, but for some reason I did not interpreted it correctly this time. Perhaps because there is so much garbage on the web and television now, including some adverstisements, that one never knows what to expect and wondered how it could be on your website. Again I am sorry.

  6. I have a suggestion, though, Mary Ann. You might want to put the title "Saturn Devouring His Children" for those who have not seen the painting before or know about it.

  7. No need to apologize. It is a horrific picture! Thanks for the suggestion. I'm taking it.

  8. Another reason the picture of Saturn devouring his children is a perfect icon for the abortion industry is that Saturn was the pagan god of war, and Mother Teresa said she thought the greatest destroyer of peace today was abortion. My name is actually Diane, but I do not want to go through all the sign up, at least at this time, so I put in anonymous.

  9. No offence but this article is awfully sexist towards men, nice work feminism. Abortion will always be legal somehwere, so just deal with the fact that some people just dont care to be parents.
I would have an abortion, because the quality of life of my child if i had one in my current economic circumstances would be awful, and you may say "oh well give it up for adoption" but hate to break it to you, but most kids in homes have a poor quality of life too.

Abortion is prevention of long-term suffering, why on earth would you want to stop that?

  10. Having Saturn devouring his children is a poor icon for an abortion campaign, are you suggesting that people have abortions so as to avoid being surpassed by their children? That is ludicrous. People have abortions cos they don't want to bring a child into a shit life. You people. Also mother teresa was religious, so don't use her words to speak of abortion, religeon clouds peoples views and stops them from actually THINKING for themselves.

  11. Let me get this straight, Anon. 4:13. If a child's "quality of life," whatever that means, isn't going to fit some ideal in your mind, it's okay to kill the kid. And how do you know abortion is preventing "long term suffering." You must have some crystal ball!

There are plenty of people who were born in bad circumstances who had/have amazing lives. Oprah Winfrey for one. She was born to unwed teen parents. She was poor and black. Hey, those are the kids targeted for abortion by Planned Parenthood. They're doomed. Funny thing though. She seems to have risen above her circumstances. Lincoln was another, son of an unwed mother. Who are you to decided?

And you're right -- abortion is sexist. It treats women like recyclable sex objects. It sure lets irresponsible men off the hook. Whew! A couple hundred dollars for an abortion saves 18 years of child support. No wonder so many men beat up and kill their pregnant girl friends. Check the facts, Anon. You have no idea what you're talking about. Google "coerced abortion."

  12. Anon. 4:18, the only connection I make between Goya's art work and the murder of the unborn is exactly what it depicts. It's unnatural and evil for parents to kill their offspring. We condemn it in ancient Rome where it was common under the law of Paterfamilias. The Father had the right after birth to choose life or death for the child. Christians used to go out to the hillside of Rome where children were exposed to the elements and wild animals (ancient method of post birth abortion) and rescue them. And that's what we continue to do today.

As for religion clouding people's judgment, the reality is completely opposite. Christians are the clearest thinkers because they love truth and they live for something greater than their own selfishness. Do you really think people who talk about killing others to save them from a "shit life" see things more clearly than a Mother Teresa who sees the image of God in the poorest of the poor and devotes her life to their service?

You sound sad and depressed and I'm praying for you. Life, no matter the circumstances is a gift for which to be thankful. And when we focus on loving God and our neighbor we lift ourselves out of our own despondency and become a sign of hope to the world.
