If Obamacare is so great, why all the waivers?

This video is from last Fall. Since then over a thousand waivers have been issues from the wonderful universal health care plan called Obamacare. Entire states are getting waivers (Maine has its waiver. New Hampshire, Nebraska, and Kentucky have applied.) Wasn't this supposed to be the magic bullet for everybody? Interestingly many of the groups getting waivers are Obama supporters -- lots of unions. Maybe Obamacare isn't so great after all and maybe, just maybe people should stop drinking the liberal Kool-Aid!

GOP Blasts Hypocritical Union Waivers in Obamacare:
In an exclusive interview, constitutional scholar and patient advocate Betsy McCaughey tells Newsmax.TV: “The key issue is that under our system of government, the law is supposed to apply equally to everyone. But unfortunately, the Obama administration is moving in the totalitarian direction: It’s who you know, rather than whether you are duty-bound to obey the law.

Obamacare Waivers Go To Allies:
Essentially, the administration is exempting its financial supporters from some of the more burdensome provisions of the healthcare reform law, which President Obama touts as a “new set of rules that treats everybody honestly and treats everybody fairly.” Political appointees at the Department of Health and Human Services decide which companies are off the hook and Americans are being kept in the dark.
Obamacare Waiver List Continues To Grow:
The Obamacare waiver list keeps growing. At what point do we call it what it is (a joke)? I thought we absolutely had to have Obamacare. Wasn’t that the big sales pitch? If that’s the case then why in the world are they letting so many groups/unions get out of it? If I could answer that then I guess I could figure out liberal logic.

  1. Let's look to those issuing the waivers:

    Sounds reasonable to me.
