A Cardinal Who Believes in Medjugorje

If I didn't already think Medjugorje was a sham, the behavior of Cardinal Schonborn of Austria would go a long way toward convincing me it couldn't be true. If the cardinal were close to the Blessed Mother, he surely wouldn't turn the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass into a circus performance. Please take the balloons, the rock music, the applause, and all the other liturgical abuses (did they sell peanuts and hot dogs?) back to hell where they belong. Cardinal Schonborn, do you realize how ridiculous it is for a grown man, a prince of the Church, to preside over this liturgical sideshow?

  1. Somebody needs to send this to the folks over at Spirit Daily. They all but gush over the fact that the good cardinal went to Medjugore. They put any little tidbit they can find about the visit the cardinal made (positive tidbit, that is).

Funny, Spirit Daily did *not* put this video up on its site. Wonder why?

  2. Spirit Daily makes alot of $$$$$$ from pilgrimages to Medjugorje!

  3. In other words, Spirit Daily is directly profiting from disobedience to the legitimate directives of the local ordinary, Bishop Ratko Peric? It rather makes me wonder just what "spirit" they refer to in their name?

  4. Peanuts and hot dogs? Don't suggest it! :-)

By the way, Mary Ann, the "poll" on this site is malfunctioning; it makes my browser redirect to blogpoll.com -- so I can't view your blog unless I quickly hit "stop" while it loads.

If you click on the "See results" it takes you to a new window at blogpoll and if you scroll down you see the results. Then just close the window and you'll be back at the blog. I was confused the first time I went there too because the last time I posted a poll it just showed all the results. Guess they want the advertising in return for their free poll. :>)
