Peter Kreeft Defends Live Action's Planned Parenthood Sting!

One of my favorite authors is defending the actions of Lila Rose and Live Action I'm happy to say. I never thought they did anything wrong in the first place and now a heavyweight in Catholic academia is saying why. See my original defense here and Peter Kreeft's here. I'm glad to know I'm in good company even if I don't explain it as well as this hero of mine. And if you haven't read his Socratic dialogue books, treat yourself. My husband and I listened to his introduction to philosophy lecture series in a set (Great Books? Modern Library? - can't remember the source) we borrowed from the library. He makes hard subject matter not only understandable but entertaining.

I hope you will take a look at the material in the link here. My group has been discussing the underlying issue for a week. And there are "big" names who are not all in agreement. Feser, however, it solid on natural law, Aquinas and Catholicism. As broad as your following appears to be, you owe it to yourself to get all the information you can. Sorry to mis-post this, but I wanted to make sure you saw it. I certainly don't expect you to publish it. Here's the link: http://edwardfeser.blogspot.com/2011/02/live-action-lying-and-natural-law.html#more Keep up the good work. Your information is important to us.

  2. Mr. Petersen,

Thanks for the post and I read the article and most of the comments, and found them interesting. But as a mom and grandma I don't think telling children "stories" about Santa and the tooth fairy are lies any more than pretending that the cookie jar can talk or that when I growl I'm a monster.

And since Fr. Hardon agrees I feel I'm in good company on that one. As for Live Action, I'm not a philosopher and again I have to go with my instinct that they were morally correct. They did not "cause" the PP employees to sin, the sin is already going on and they just gathered evidence about it.
