MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

A friend sent me this as an email Christmas card and I pass it on to you. Be sure to curl up with Jesus sometime Christmas day. After all, He's the reason for the season.

A Nativity Scene was erected in a church yard. During the night, someone came across this. An abandoned dog was looking for a comfortable, protected place to sleep. He chose baby Jesus as his comfort. No one had the heart to send him away so he was there all night.

We should all have the good sense of this dog and curl up in Jesus' lap from time to time. This is too sweet not to share.

No one mentioned that the dog breed is a "shepherd!"

  1. Perfect! We could say the dog was guarding and shepherding the Baby Jesus, too.

A Merry Christmas to all and a safe, healthy and happy New Year.

  2. This is just adorable. It always warms my heart to see the animals "honoring" God, especially when so many humans do not.

This reminds me of a Christmas when I was little. Our church was located across the street from a cemetery that housed deer on their grounds. Usually, it would take a good eye to spot one of them when driving past, if you were lucky. My brother and I would make it a game to try to spot one to and from mass every Sunday.

One year when we attended midnight mass, all the deer in the park were lined up at the fence right across from the church. It was such an amazing and beautiful thing to see as a child and something I'll never forget.
