Lutherans receive Communion at the Vatican
I am grieving for Holy Mother Church. Somebody posted two quotes on Facebook yesterday comparing a statement from Pope Pius XII about the unchanging Church and a quote from Pope Francis. The difference was amazing. I tried to find them but couldn't. If anybody else sees them, please post them in the comments.
The wisdom of Pope Pius compared to the banality and silliness of Pope Francis' statement was staggering. Sometimes I think our Holy Father is Barack Obama's twin brother. He makes things up as he goes along and attacks anybody who disagrees with him.
How I long to see Pope Pius XII canonized instead of all these modern popes who have ruled over our dwindling Church and created so much confusion.
Msgr. Eugene Pacelli, the future Pope Pius XII:
ReplyDelete“I am worried by the Blessed Virgin’s messages to Lucy of Fatima. This persistence of Mary about the dangers which menace the Church is a divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith, in Her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul."
Pope Francis:
"Christians who obstinately maintain ‘it’s always been done this way,' this is the path, this is the street—they sin: the sin of divination. Christians who stop at “it’s always been done that way” have hearts closed to the surprises of the Holy Spirit."
Thanks so much, Brian. Once again Pope Francis attacks the faithful. I think only those will survive who study the doctrine and embrace it. I'm reading Pope Leo XIII's encyclical right now on Christ the Redeemer. He is another wise and holy pope who urged Catholics to cling to the faith.
ReplyDeleteWow, the difference is chilling. I am angry at the thought of this Pope, and some in the Church are bent on making the Catholic Church Protestant! Been there, done that! I think all faithful Catholics need to embrace the Catechism in these troubling times. And PRAY. Often.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Janness! The Catechism and the authenticated messages of the Blessed Mother at Fatima and Akita. Prayer and penance, the Five First Saturdays Devotion, and absolute attachment to the doctrines of the faith. Fr. John Hardon often said that only heroic Catholic families would survive and it is ever becoming more clear how accurate he was.
ReplyDeleteYou posts, as always, are measured yet very on the mark which I appreciate.
ReplyDeleteMy grief over sins to our Eucharistic Lord is almost always with me. The lack of propriety and attention at Mass is a distraction for me.
Clearly, something very devilish is occurring and accelerating. A former confessor often reminded me that it's not simply our own fallen selves that we contend with but "thrones and dominions" and Satan himself. There is a great deal of truth and comfort in knowing that. Yet, I feel very alone and abandoned at times. My health has prevented me from travelling to the closest TLM. And, the NO I attend is awash is impiety and dare I say loudness and noise. I come out of Mass now only feeling out of sorts and angry. My wife and son notice this and I know they are concerned about what is happening in the Church as well as I am.
"There are hours in life when one must ask for faith ceaselessly for fear of losing altogether a spark of light in the darkness of the world." Father - prior
We have to remember the example of the Holy Mother and stay at the foot of Cross. Not sure what else can be done now. Very challenging times God has given us.
The difference between the two is imcomparable.
ReplyDeleteThe only two things that can charitably be done....
a. Praying for the conversion of our Pope. (Or early retirement there of)....
b. Continue ourselves to be faithful.
On the bright side though, the Archbishop of Los Angeles will be offering a pontifical high Mass the tuesday after Pentecost.
Amen to you both, New Guy and Joe. These ARE, indeed, challenging times that require us to be more and more faithful in atonement for the Judases. I think we can take comfort in offering everything, including our agony over the betrayals in the Church (consider how much Jesus suffered from betrayal) to take the opportunity to offer this as a sacrifice. "Blessed are those who mourn." Isn't that us today?
ReplyDeleteActually, Lutherans permit divorce and remarriage and are about 50/50 on sodomy/sodomite marriage (Luther permitted divorce and these Finnish Lutherans that were given communion do approve sodomy).

Also I am wondering why you didn't put "active" before "Lutherans" or "divorced and remarried", but only in front of "homosexual".
I have noticed many blogs trying to bypass seriously addressing the blatant heresy and sacrilege of the pope and the Church under him by deflecting it as a joke (see The bones that you have crushed) or "inevitable" (Rorate) or as in your post pretending (1) divorced and remarried and sodomites aren't already receiving (when Mo Ricca rec'd at Papal Mass and in any "LGBT" parish in any diocese they are receiving; and I can tell you my own niece has been receiving for more than 9 years and it's been over three parishes where her children are receiving sacraments so pretty sure the priest is aware of the sit & has approved her in the "internal forum") and (2) communion for Lutherans isn't the same thing as communion for the divorced & remarried & married & clerical sodomites (also the same as women priests); and as in the comments here "we must be more and more faithful" in our little tunnel vision while we ignore the blatant heresy happening all around us at the "table" and right next to us. Somehow I don't believe that was Jesus' teaching or intent. But you surely won't be thrown out or beaten or martyred by keeping up the constant pretended ignorance or I knew it all along or it's a joke or if I just pray more, I don't have to say or do anything (ACT).
