  1. The moment I saw this photo, I knew it was The Blessed Mother holding her precious Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Long ago I heard that spiritual phenomena, while not visible to the naked eye, does show up in photographs. I am inclined to believe that.

It also made me think of the poem/carol "In the deep midwinter, Frosty wind made moan/ Earth stood hard as iron, Water Like a stone."

Your photo is simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing it.

    Wishing you a blessed Christmas.

  2. “Have you seen him whom my soul loves?”
    Scarcely had I passed them,
when I found him whom my soul loves.

  3. It's a comfort. I have lost a lot this year. I hope our Lady is there with me when I pray.

  4. Beautiful, isn't this the grotto at Maisabeille at Lourdes? If not, where is the Norte Dame Grotto? I love our Morher, you were right to listen to her.

  5. No this is at Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana. Actually, this is the site where the graduating seniors held an alternative graduation ceremony and boycotted the school ceremony the year Fr. Jenkins welcomed Obama as the graduation speaker and gave him an honorary degree. I think the Blessed Mother must have given this as a blessing for those students honoring her.

  6. BK, did you find out who the student in the photo was? It would be interesting to know what he thinks of the photo.

  7. Jess Espinosa, Yes, I have discovered the identity of the student. He, however, wishes to remain anonymous. I have met with him and separately with his parents. They are all in awe of what has happened.
