I'm not that familiar with them and as I said above I should have done more research before posting this. I'm doing another post to correct it as some folks may hold this position based on the flawed interpretation of Fr. It concerns me that you've allowed "Tradition in Action" to influence your thinking on this matter. We're not required to believe in the Divine Mercy message. However, I'd think twice before giving credence to what TIA says. The more I read about him the more I'm convinced he shouldn't be declared a saint. I know he suffered terribly towards the end of his life, but so many bad things happened on his watch. The same regarding Pope John XXIII – not only did he disobey Our Lady about Fatima, the fruit of Vatican II has been terrible. The same way the Church accepted and approved the Sacred Heart Devotion. The Divine Mercy Sunday is now celebrated - as Jesus demanded - in the Universal Catholic Church on the First Sunday after Easter and Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska has been entered in the Calendar of the Saints. He Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00185374414579400636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568419039847692717.post-77110863156055781592013-11-20T05:53:44.897-05:002013-11-20T05:53:44.897-05:00The 20-year prohibition - predicted by Jesus Chris...The 20-year prohibition - predicted by Jesus Christ Himself to St. Faustina - was made when incorrect translations were presented to the Holy See since it was not possible to obtain all documents immediately after the WW II. However, the Prohibition was lifted on 15th April 1978 after all the Documents and Evidence was presented to the Holy See and accepted as a Message from God. Perez's comments on the picture I found interesting and troubling as well. I'm curious whether the Church teaches that canonization is infallible. Was it nationalism?<br />Siobhanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02480248372805511882noreply@blogger.com
