Sunday Meditation: Authority and Obedience vs. Truth

Recently, I was absolutely staggered by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re telling Archbishop Vigano that, “We must obey the Pope even if the Pope does not obey the Lord.”

Really?

Archbishop Vigano: “''pastoralism' of synodal officials is a hypocritical rhetorical pretense."

Archbishop Vigano responded to the SSPX letter to Cardinal Fernandez outing him for hypocrisy. Really!

Hypocrisy at the Vatican? Can you believe it? Or has that become the default position of many of our spiritual fathers? I personally wonder how many of the magisterium actually believe what the Church has taught for millennia. If they do, how can they abandon it so completely that they are ready to canonize a man I can only describe as a sexual predator, Bishop Alejandro Lbaka. What else can one call a priest who cavorted nude with young men and let them touch his genitals and bring about arousal? Is he going to be the patron of all the clergy sex predators who brought such scandal on the Church? Will his canonization be used to justify nudity and sexual play as natural?

Is the Honeymoon Over? Please, Pope Leo, say it ain't so!

One of Francis's worst moves was appointing a woman, a nun, to oversee all the religious congregations in the Church, both men and women. That was just one of his innovations, essentially changing canon law.

It is the responsibility of the clergy, not women religious or laity (neither men or women) to teach, GOVERN, and sanctify. Religious sisters and laity can cooperate in the work, but canon law prohibits their playing a juridical role. Check out this article:

Pope Leo XIV and the Prefect

Joseph Ratzinger in his book, Democracy in the Church: Possibilities and Limits, spoke of the "absolutely inadmissible de facto separation between the power of order and that of government" which relegates the sacraments to the "magical" and  ecclesiastical jurisdiction "to the profane."

Archbishop Vigano also weighed in with a reality check about Pope Leo's early days.

It is normal and humanly understandable that more than a decade of open persecution of Catholics by the one who presented himself as their Pope would lead many of us to desire a truce, hoping that Our Lord would give His Church - if not a new Pius X - at least another Benedict XVI.
But this legitimate desire - certainly animated by good feelings and love for the Church - cannot transform itself into a virtual reality in which, even against all evidence, everything must necessarily be read as a confirmation of what we would like, and not of what is really happening. We cannot build for ourselves a "virtual church" with a "virtual papacy" that we love and serve in a consoling but unreal fiction.
The confirmation of a notorious heretic to the Cathedra of Saint Gallen in Switzerland; the appointment of a nun as Secretary of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, in line with the appointment of a Prefectess by Bergoglio; the repeated references to the heretical documents of his predecessor and to Vatican II; the declarations on ecumenism and synodality, and finally the acceptance of climate fraud; all place Robert Francis Prevost in evident and disturbing continuity with his predecessor, and it will certainly not be the stole and mozzetta that will change reality.

Along with this, we have evidence of a new crackdown on the TLM (Traditional Latin Mass). In Charlotte, the bishop has banned the Mass of the Ages from all diocesan churches. He's relegated it to a Protestant church in Moorefields only two Sundays a month.

Steve Bannon interviewed Liz Yore about what's happening. Check out the interview here.

I couldn't help thinking of Antonio Gramsci as I listened to the interview. Gramsci developed a theory of Communism that replaced violent overthrow of western cultures with  infiltration and the slow march through the institutions. If you're interested read more about Gramsci here.

It looks like enthusiasm over Pope Leo was premature. Let us pray for him, but have no illusions.

Spy Wednesday: The Betrayal of Judas Continues Today

Constantin Meunier c. 1860
Editor's comment: Spy Wednesday commemorates the day Judas betrayed Jesus to the pharisees for 30 pieces of silver. He already committed the sin before he planted that hypocritical kiss on Jesus' face. We have many Judases today among our shepherds, hirelings and even wolves in sheep's clothing. The history of the Cardinal McCarrick coverup doesn't shock anyone these days. We are too accustomed to the betrayal by powerful men in miters and tailored clerical suits and French cuffs. After all the empty talk about transparency, we continue to be deluged with lies and pompous pandering. The reaction of the bishops to the administration cutting off their gravy train is one more example of their dishonesty and self-serving hypocrisy. Fr. Gomulka has catalogued their abuse. Let us pray for their conversion and pray especially hard for the faithful bishops cancelled and/or disrespected by the pope and their woke brothers.

Victim Advocate’s Open Letter To U.S. Bishops

Dear cardinals, archbishops, and bishops,

There is a Moral Duty to Vote! Get Ye to the Polls!

Editor's note: Yesterday Archbishop Vigano released a letter to the voters of America. He was the papal nuncio of the United States from October 2011 until April 2016. Presumably he became very familiar with the situation here during that time. While I don't agree with everything the archbishop has done, I believe he is a Catholic prelate with a true love for the faith and a desire to clean up the mess caused by the influence of termites into the sanctuary of the Church.

Sunday Meditation! Love the Truth!

Father's homily this morning was well worth meditating on. It stimulated my own thoughts. I don't want to distort anything he said, so consider this my interpretation of what was a really excellent homily.

What do you think the devil's greatest deception is? What pleases him the most?

The Pope is NOT an Absolute Monarch! Catholics Must Understand the Limits of Episcopal Authority!

How many bishops are willing to walk in
the footsteps of martyr Bishop John Fisher?
People tend to think of the pope as the head of a large company with the ultimate power to
make all the decisions and impose them on his underlings beginning with the heads of the various departments. They can express their opinions to him, but he is the ultimate authority and if they disagree they can obey anyway or "off with their heads!"

That is not a proper image for the Catholic Church.

The pope is not a dictator with the ultimate power to throw out bishops on a whim because he doesn't happen to like them. Unfortunately, the bishops themselves have promulgated that image by the unjust treatment some have dished out to their spiritual sons. Cancelled priests are a growing problem. I know some of them and it is disturbing to see how unjust some bishops are. The sad truth for those bishops is that you reap what you sow. They will be measured out the same measure and rotten fruit they've dished out to others. Get ready for it, Your Excellencies!

When Will the USCCB Come Out in Opposition to the Scandalous Fiducia Supplicans?

Don't hold your breath! This is their pathetic response in answer to the Pope's latest blasphemy against God:

WASHINGTON - In response to the Declaration “Fiducia supplicans” (FS) issued by the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith today, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) offered the following statement from its spokesperson, Chieko Noguchi, executive director of public affairs.

“The Declaration issued today by the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) articulated a distinction between liturgical (sacramental) blessings, and pastoral blessings, which may be given to persons who desire God’s loving grace in their lives. The Church’s teaching on marriage has not changed, and this declaration affirms that, while also making an effort to accompany people through the imparting of pastoral blessings because each of us needs God’s healing love and mercy in our lives.”

Is Francis a Valid Pope? Archbishop Vigano Appears to be Saying No.

The talk below is the one Archbishop Vigano intended to give at the 2023 Catholic Identity Conference (CIC). The original plan was for an interview with Michael Matt, the same format as Archbishop Vigano's zoom appearance at the 2022 conference.

That was the plan. But the Archbishop changed the agreed upon agenda just a few days before the conference was to begin and sent in the transcript of his talk.

Ambiguity Goes on with Francis and the Question of Blessing Same-Sex Unions

Wolves are in the sheepfold dressed in clerics, pectoral crosses, and even papal white!

Francis has made it clear from the moment he stepped out on the balcony at St. Peter's that he will do everything he can to advance acceptance of the LGBTQ+ agenda. On his visit to the U.S. in 2015 he held a "private" meeting with a same-sex couple showing great enthusiasm and hugging the two men. It was filmed and widely shared amidst gay euphoria.

Archbishop Vigano and Bishop Schneider Encourage Bishop Joseph Strickland

Let's pray that more bishops act like brothers to this faithful priest of God!

"Dictatorship of Western elites...resembles pure Satanism" - Vladimir Putin

Much of Vladimir Putin's following speech (09/30/2022) sounds as if Archbishop Vigano wrote it. But then, Russian is Christian while the West is no longer able to hold that title.

"I want the Kiev authorities
and their true handlers in the West to hear me now."

Vladimir Putin's Presidential address on the occasion of signing the treaties on the accession of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Russia.

"Citizens of Russia, citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, deputies of the State Duma, senators of the Russian Federation,

"As you know, referendums have been held in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The ballots have been counted and the results have been announced. The people have made their unequivocal choice.

Quiz for the Day: Who Said This about U.S. Involvement in Ukraine?

Hat tip to onePeter5 for the quotes.

Make your guess about the writer: Is it Archbishop Vigano?
The United States is placing its occupation troops in one country after another. This is the de facto situation in Bosnia for 9 years, in Kosovo and Afghanistan for 5 years each, in Iraq.... There is little difference between NATO’s actions and individual U.S. actions. Clearly seeing that today’s Russia poses no threat to them, NATO is methodically and persistently developing its military apparatus – to the east of Europe and into the continental reach of Russia from the south. There is open material and ideological support for “color” revolutions, and the paradoxical introduction of North Atlantic interests – in Central Asia. All this leaves no doubt that.a complete encirclement of Russia is being prepared, and then the loss of its sovereignty. No, Russia’s accession to such a Euro-Atlantic alliance, which conducts propaganda and the violent introduction into various parts of the planet of the ideology and forms of current Western democracy – would lead not to expansion, but to the decline of Christian civilization.

Archbishop Vigano, Richard Kalergi and Volodymyr Zelensky

On July 1st Steve Bannon interviewed Archbishop Vigano who mentioned Richard Kalergi which in turn leads us to Ukraine's President Zelensky. What's the connection, who's Richard Kalergi and why did Zelenski win the European Cudenhove-Kalergi/Charlemagne Prize?

In 2017 I wrote an article for Les Femmes titled The Children of Kalergi and reposted it in 2018. The article was about mass migration from Islamic countries (The Great Replacement). Mass immigration, currently happening at our own United States borders, is not a spontaneous phenomenon. "What the elites try to present as an inevitability of modern life, is actually the product of a plan conceived around a table and prepared by ideologues over decades to completely change the face of Europe, and now the United States".

It's Tuesday: Do You Know Where Your Chickens Are?

The old expression about chickens coming home to roost has particular meaning for me these days since we got nine little chicks about eight weeks ago. Watching them grow has been interesting.  They aren't very good about coming into the coop "to roost." I have to catch them because they still haven't grown accustomed to using the ramp.

But all that aside, chickens do "come home to roost," and plenty of politicians, talking heads and commentators are beginning to see their own "chickens" coming home to roost. At any rate, I hope so!

Archbishop Vigano Responds to Weigel the Warmonger

Following up on my post about George Weigel's ugly attack on Archbishop Vigano, I offer this response to Weigel from the archbishop himself. As usual Archbishop Vigano is the voice of reason answering the spurious below-the-belt assaults from two men he apparently considered friends. Betrayal and again, betrayal! What an appropriate time for that to take place, eh? Jesus was betrayed and betrayed and betrayed! How painful it is when "friends" are the source of stab wounds. "Et tu, Roberto? Et tu, George?"

I'm printing the archbishop's response in full with my comments in red. Pray for Holy Mother Church. She has so few defenders these days. I have never liked neo-conservative warmonger George Weigel and never trusted him, but I did respect Roberto de Mattei and appreciated his book, Apologia for Tradition.

THE UNCROSSABLE RED LINE: Viganò Responds to George Weigel at First Things

Sorry, George, You Got it Wrong and Archbishop Vigano Got It Right!

The wise and wonderful Weigel!

The other day George Weigel wrote an attack piece on Archbishop Vigano that included a number of bullet points about the "manifestly false claims" Vigano made in his recent letter about the war in Ukraine. Weigel labeled Vigano a conspiracy nut comparable to Col. Grace-Groundling Marchpole, a character in an Evelyn Waugh novel.

Ah...ridicule...it's an effective strategy as Saul Alinsky pointed out in his Rules for Radicals. Even I use it occasionally when things are too ridiculous to treat seriously and the ponderously pontificating need a little prick to their puffed up pomposity. (I know, I know ridiculous alliteration!)

We Know Our Government Lied About COVID. Are They Lying About the Bio-Weapon Labs in Ukraine?

Glenn Greenwald has always impressed me as fair. You can depend on him to look at both sides of an issue. So when he discusses whether the U.S. has bioweapons labs in Ukraine, he's worth listening to. In the first 20 minutes you see government rep, Victoria Nuland, admit to a Senate panel that the labs exist and that the U.S. is very concerned that the agents in these labs might be captured by the Russians. Marco Rubio, a neo-con hawk, helps spin her admission into one more attack on the Russians. In the past few days government sources are falling over themselves claiming that the U.S. is doing no research on bioweapons. Do you believe them? The entire video is fascinating especially the discussion about the 2001 anthrax attacks. The strain of anthrax used eventually was found to have originated not in Iraq, the government's cover story, but at Fort Detrick in Maryland. So when you hear all the denials about the U.S. not engaging in any work on biological weapons -- well --- take their denials with a grain of salt.

The Truckers Are Coming! Let Us All Oppose the "Cabal of Unscrupulous Criminals Thirsty for Power and Money!"

The Canadian truckers have inspired our U.S. counterparts. The truckers are beginning their convoy on Wednesday, February 23rd leaving southern California and heading for Washington, D.C. [They have agreed with local authorities not to go into the city, but will end at the Washington Beltway.] Read about the convoy here and visit the official website here. If you love our country, support the truckers. I am!

Thou Shalt Not Cross Church Militant

Me, navigating this post

I'll just go ahead and admit a few things here so that Church Militant can get all their legal ducks in a row if they're thinking of suing me, dragging me into court, making me lose my job (hahaha), doxing me, searching my dark mysterious past, etc. So here goes....

I've never had a fundraiser on the Internet for myself or others, I own my own little home left to my brother and me by our mother when she died (I bought my brother's half since he already had a home). I live alone, I've been married twice, I have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. I'm poor, never lonely, converted to Catholicism 41 years ago, attended Novus Ordo parishes but now am a member of the SSPX.
