Guest Post Part 2: Pope Francis Fiddles while Faithful Burn with Anger!

Read Part 1 here.

Editor's note: Last November the pope told the USCCB not to take any substantive action on the sex abuse crisis because he had scheduled the summit in Rome. The summit, being hyped as a serious look at the problem, seems to be just one more stage production to create the impression that the Vatican is taking the problem seriously and actually doing something about it. Don't hold your breath. So far the press conferences indicate that the real problem (sodomite behavior which includes clergy homosexual abuse of minors, clergy homosexual abuse of young adults, especially seminary students, and consensual clergy homosexual sodomy between adults.) The only issue being addressed at the summit is the abuse of minors. And Blase Cupich, a master spinmeister, is continuing the cover up. When you read the papal schedule below, note how almost nothing is being said or done about what can only be described as the major Church crisis of our day. The pope has time to fly around the world, visit art galleries, attend interfaith meetings, and babble on and on about whatever; but dealing with the sex abuse crisis is hardly on his radar screen. The silence of the shepherd for his poor little slaughtered lambs in the womb and for the victims of clergy sex abuse (many of whom have committed suicide) is appalling!

Pope Francis Papacy Timeline -- 2014

Moving on to 2014, we see the wheels of the Francis agenda whirling along. He says many orthodox things not backed up by his actions. The media pope worship continues. "Friends of Francis" seem to be those who are most antagonistic toward orthodoxy. The pope's negative rhetoric is increasingly aimed at the orthodox who are labeled "rigid" and "Pharisaical." This harping on "rigidity" began in 2013 and is a continuous thread running through the pope's homilies and addresses. It is almost universally aimed at those who embrace orthodoxy as it's been handed down through the millennia from the Fathers of the Church and the magisterium. Francis often sounds like Obama talking about Christians who cling to their Bibles and their guns. Meanwhile he aids and abets those whose agenda includes turning the Church into one more politically correct Protestant sect in line with the Spiritus Mundi.

  • January 16, 2014: Pope Francis has personal audience with Cardinal Roger Mahony, archbishop emeritus of Los Angeles. Mahony will become an important "friend of Francis" acting as papal representative following his resignation in 2011. Let's take a look at Cardinal Mahony. He is notorious for wrecking the West Coast Religious Education Congress (REC) which is a hotbed of dissent and liberalism. He also was personally disgraced when diocesan personnel files, which were finally revealed after a six-year lawsuit, showed that he covered up for over 100 predator priests in Los Angeles. Mahony was stripped of all "administrative and public church duties" in the Archdiocese by his successor, Archbishop Jose Gomez, in 2013.

Pope Francis Timeline: The Papal Record -- 2013

I've been thinking a lot about the pope and his papacy's impact on the Church, which any sensible person must recognize by now is a disaster. He undermines the faith, he aids and abets enemies of the Church, his off-the-cuff bombs lobbed on almost every plane ride create confusion and chaos.

Horrors! (And I mean that literally.) He's a one man wrecking ball!

I think we could say the same thing about Francis that Churchill said about Lenin. Lenin returned to Russia like a "plague bacillus" to kill the monarchy. Pope Francis, injected into the Church by the St. Gallen's mafia, has infected us with the plague bacillus of modernism on steroids. He, of course, cannot "kill" the Church, but he seems to be trying his darnedest! We all need to pray and sacrifice for him, that's for sure.

Guest Post Part I: Pope Francis Fiddles while Faithful Burn with Anger!

Cupich, the great showman, will be running the
summit. Will it be the "greatest show on earth?"
Editor's comment: As the meeting on the sex abuse of minors begins today in Rome, consider the state of the Church and the loss of credibility among our clerical leaders. There are several troubling facts about the summit. Limiting the focus of the meeting to the abuse of minors is only half the story allowing the continued pretense that the issue is "pedophilia," the abuse of pre-pubescent children. It has ALWAYS been about pederasty, i.e., homosexual abuse. Blase Cupich has already announced that ONLY the abuse of minors will be discussed. So seminarian abuse and "age appropriate" sodomy between clerics is not on the table. Sadly, the Vatican seems to have no intention of addressing or cleaning up the real problem. The most obvious signal is that those organizing and running this meeting are, in fact, the problem. To have Blase Cupich, a champion of homosexuality, and others of his ilk in charge is surely an illustration of the saying, "The fox is guarding the hen house." The timeline of events described by today's guest illustrates exactly how much smoke emanates from the Vatican spin machine. Consider Cupich's "rabbit hole" comment. These men are clueless about the anger, the "burning mad" anger, of the laity, a righteous anger that calls out to heaven for justice!

The Catholic Herald's Article on Pope Francis -- Really?

The Arlington Catholic Herald's front page article on Pope Francis in the current issue (April 24 - May7) made me shake my head. Ridiculously one-sided and it totally ignored anything that might upset the instant canonization applecart. From headline to last sentence it turned the Francis papacy into the equivalent of a snake oil salesman's pitch for his magic elixir. It is typical since Vatican II to turn every funeral into an instant canonization process, so why shouldn't we expect that for the death of a pope? After all, every pope since Vatican II except Benedict was rushed through to instant sainthood. One is tempted to say it is all about canonizing the council.

The Other Side of Francis -- Things for which to be Grateful!

Where are the other nine? Did only this foreigner
return to give thanks?
Being thankful is a virtue -- first of all to God, of course, but then to those who deserve our thanks. And so I present this article from Crisis Magazine,  The Politically Incorrect Francis—14 Shocking Statements. Author, historian Paul Kangor begins it writing:
Let’s be honest. Actually, let’s state the obvious. Many orthodox Catholics have had it with Pope Francis, as have non-Catholic conservatives who liked previous popes. It’s no stretch to say that a good number detest him. At the very least, many faithful Catholics are frustrated by the current pope. What with the ongoing confusion from Rome, atop the 2018 abuse report from Pennsylvania (with many more states to follow), plus the Cardinal McCarrick fiasco, and the ViganĂ² letters—their patience is exhausted.

Are Some Catholics Fomenting Schism?

Some commenters on my blog insist that I take a position on whether Francis is or is not the pope. I've always replied that to make that decision is definitely "above my pay grade." In fact, it's above the pay grade of almost every Catholic on earth. And if it isn't, if someone is truly competent to come to that determination because of his ecclesial or scholarly position, he should bring his argument privately to those with the competence to act; that is, the college of cardinals.

Whether Francis is a valid pope will soon be a moot point. He is clearly not going to live much longer. Then we will see the next conclave and, since Francis has nominated a majority of the current voting bishops, 78% in fact (Source), it is likely that the next pope will be cut from the same cloth. Hopefully, the cardinals are sick of the confusion and chaos of the past decade and will make a better choice. We need a holy, faithful pope. Will we get one? Let's pray for him and those with the electoral duty to protect the Church.

George Soros and Pope Francis -- Strange Bedfellows or Birds of a Feather?

Wikileaks published a number of emails showing how George Soros uses supporters within the
Vatican to influence Pope Francis. It's not a pretty story and, in fact, it should give every Catholic pause. When a socialist monster like Soros is influencing how the Vatican approaches the moral issues of the day, WATCH OUT! LifeSiteNews and The Remnant both wrote stories showing how Soros money is being used to influence what comes out of Rome. Here are some excerpts from The Remnant story:

To Pope Francis: Show Me Your Friends and I'll Tell You Who You Are!

Pope Francis and his pro-homosexual friend, Fr. Luigi Ciatti.
How many Hispanic men hold hands with other men?
Does anyone else find this just plain weird?
My mother used to say often when warning us about carefully choosing our friends that, "Birds of a feather flock together." Did you ever see a cardinal flying with vultures? Well, maybe that isn't the best example since so many cardinals these days are, in fact, vultures. And, sadly, Pope Francis has placed many of these evil men in important positions at the Vatican. Let's check out a few.

Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo
Sorondo countenances the worst moral evils as was evident recently at the Biological Extinction meeting. He happily legitimizes enemies of the Church and life itself by offering them platforms for spreading their poison, like Paul Ehrlich who advocates forced abortion. Their response is to chortle in glee over this wise, merciful, and insightful pope whom they see as a realist.

Comments Coming Out about the Motu Proprio. What Next?

I'm posting links for some articles about what the pope did earlier today in releasing the document which is translated as "Guardians of Tradition." It was accompanied by a letter which is as bad as the motu proprio itself.

What? Really?

Is the title of the document a joke? Guardian of Tradition?

Guest Post: What do you think? Do the Prophecies of St. Francis Explain It All?

Take a look at this and see what you think, but please don't be alarmed. Church history is filled with challenging periods when corrupt popes ruled and anti-popes added to the confusion. "Let not your hearts be troubled." Trust in God and pray. I don't know if we are living in the time prophesied by St. Francis or not. I do know that our response in all circumstances is to commit to the duties of our state in life and to work out our salvation in fear and trembling committing ourselves to the will of God.   Mary Ann

The Prophecy of St. Francis about a Future Pope

By David Martin

Shortly before his death, St. Francis of Assisi called together the friars of his Order and detailed a prophecy of what was to come upon the Church in the latter days. That this prophecy references the last times is evident by the prediction of events that would not be fulfilled until after Vatican II, and by its placing these events in the time frame of the Gospel prophecy concerning the great tribulations just before Christ's Second Coming. (Matthew 24) St. Francis relates the following concerning the future Church under siege.

To Pope Francis on his Fifth Anniversary from Eccles is Saved!

Pope Francis celebrated his fifth anniversary as pope on March 13th and, perhaps in recognition, a film is coming out this May called Pope Francis - A Man of His Word. There doesn't appear to be anything facetious about the title, but I have to confess it got me thinking.

Let's see....Pope Francis is a man of his word, but which words? He contradicts himself so often, following him is like watching the ball in a tennis match:

  • Pope Francis, during the Extraordinary Synod on the Family, called for his clergy to be open and transparent and not be afraid to express their views. And yet, how many YEARS has it been since concerned cardinals asked a few questions that required a yes or no answer? And got NO answer! Is that the transparency the pope meant?

Homosexual Clergy Scandal and Money Scandals Go Together like Bread and Butter!

Bread and butter and circuses for everyone!
And Pope Francis wields the butter knife!

Is the Purification of Holy Mother Church really on his agenda? The signs aren't good, that's for sure, and Cardinal Wuerl's treatment this week sends up a whole pole of red flags.

Yes, Pope Francis accepted Wuerl's resignation. He's also, inexplicably, made him apostolic administrator for D.C. until a replacement is selected and is praising him to the skies.

How do you think the unhappy flock of the Archdiocese feel about that? I don't know what you think; it sure smells rotten to me. But I can't say I'm too surprised. It fits with everything we've seen from the Francis papacy. Check out these articles.

Pope Francis Papacy Timeline: 2019

I continue to work on the papal timeline, but decided to skip from 2015 to 2019 since last year gave us such a bumper crop of scandals! Yes indeed, 2019 was a banner year for Pope Francis undermining the Faith of our Fathers with the help of his confreres!

What an understatement!

The pope follows his own advice to "make a mess" and made a mess big time in 2019! But that may be a blessing because, as evil positions itself center stage with fanfare of trumpets, rainbow banners, pagan symbols, idol worship, etc., more people are "woke"

This Disastrous Papacy and the Big Question!

Will the real pope please stand up!
I've always admired Phil Lawler for his integrity and clear writing as well as his charity. So when I saw his article, This Disastrous Papacy, in the March 16th issue of The Wanderer; I read it carefully.

He minces no words. Acknowledging that he criticized the two former popes for what he considered imprudent actions, he then stresses that "never did it cross my mind that [they] posed any danger to the integrity of the Catholic faith." Then he writes more pointedly about Pope Francis:

Can the Pope be a Heretic and Remain the Pope? Is Francis a Heretic?

Francis: Pope or Anti-Pope?

The question about Francis and his heretical positions was raised in 2019 in an open letter signed by 19 theologians/priests/church leaders. Since then, dozens of others added their names to the letter and thousands of Catholics signed a petition for the bishops of the world to respond to the letter. Today, the information below was on Bishop Rene Gracida's website. Has Pope Francis embraced positions that are "heretical in the strict sense?" And if he has, what is the current state of the papacy? We live in challenging times, friends. In this month of the Sacred Heart let us pray unceasingly for our Church. The flock are immersed in the slough of confusion and sinking and there are few rescuers with ropes and life boats offering help. God save us!

Hold the Applause: An Analysis of Pope Francis' Post Synodal Exhortation -- Part I

I've seen a lot of chatter about how relieved people are that Pope Francis did not approve married priests for the Amazon in his post synodal Apostolic Exhortation.

Well, I've read it and frankly I found it alarming and hypocritical on many fronts.

But before I get into that let me remind you to......

Death and Its Temptations: Praying for Pope Francis!

I was praying for the pope this morning after reading the section in The Spiritual Combat on the temptations that precede death. What a frightening time that must be as we all will learn unless we die suddenly.

Pope Francis Papacy Timeline 2015

Papal Visit Philippines Pope Francis logo.png
Mercy and compassion are used to
justify undermining God's truth and justice.
To see previous years go here.

The beat goes on in 2015 as Pope Francis continues undermining the faith. This will be an important year particularly because of the document Laudato Si on the environment and the second synod on the family which will be used as references to support heterodox interpretations later, particularly in preparation for the Amazon Synod.

January 12 - 19: Apostolic Visit to Sri Lanka and the Philippines. The press conference on the way home from this papal visit was, to say the least, interesting. It gave the pope one more opportunity to put his foot in his mouth when he said Christians didn't need to act like rabbits. He talked about "responsible parenthood" in a way that implied small families. He also said some good things. Unfortunately, we're used to him saying some good things while he acts in a way that undermines his words. See more here.

And On and On We Go: Female Deacons Next?

Pope Francis opens another can of worms!
Francis to create commission to study female deacons in Catholic church

At the recent meeting in Rome of the International Union of Superiors General, the pope agreed that a commission to study the question of women deacons was a good idea. According to press reports, when challenged about it, he responded, "I believe yes. It would do good for the church to clarify this point. I am in agreement. I will speak to do something like this.”
