Top Canadian Doctor Says System is "Not Sustainable"

Overhauling health-care system tops agenda at annual meeting of Canada's doctors

  1. The British are fighting for their health care calling us "America, the land of the Fee".

Everything you point out that could go wrong is already here but done by unregulated private insurance corporations who are only doing what they know, increasing profits.

You all know already that you cannot afford the health insurance you have with your employer on your own.

So these posts are not really about health care but about Obama. Every system in the world has problems. The American system however is the least efficient by providing the least amount of health care at the highest rates with less success than other systems.

One reasonable explanation to defending a inefficient system of health care is to defeat Obama. To defeat every program without regard for it's benefit is dangerous. The wolf in sheep's clothing here the rationalization that such damage and suffering are just collateral damage to the greater good of defeating Obama.

  2. The British system is terrible. Abortion goes to the front of the line; people in serious pain can wait. Once again you provide no data, just uninformed opinion.

I do oppose Obama because of his liberal policies. Liberalism has destroyed California and is working hard to destroy the rest of the country as well.

As for America providing the "least amount of health care" that's ridiculous. Back up your claims.

Liberalism is destroying this country through crushing debt. Bush was a liberal, especially during his second term. But compared to the current Congress and administration he was troglodyte. Check out the National Debt clock then throw in nationalized health care. We all know government will do it cheaper. (Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.......)

  3. I'm sure you've heard of the physicist Steven Hawking. Professor Hawking, who was born in Britain, has lived there all his life, and has been well cared for by the National Health Service. For every problem, there are many more success stories.

  4. As for government programs, there are many where they do better for less like the post office, fire, police, army and roads.

Most roads are 'free' for use. Toll roads are an addition kind of authority. What is missing in health care is the basic road system. We have lots of Insurance companies charging tolls.

  5. How come when you list one example it proves the point but if I list a success story it doesn't count.

85% of Americans are happy with their health care. That is not a statistic that justifies government takeover of medicine.

By the way, my brother is getting excellent treatment following his stroke and his insurance is covering it 100%. Of course he's not famous like Hawking. Hmmm...wonder if that could have anything to do with his excellent care. I'd rather hear what happens to John P. Nobody. We know the rich and famous will always be treated well.
