  1. Every time you post something from Voris, you lose credibility.

  2. LOL! Every time you post anonymously you lose credibility. I think Michael Voris is spot on.

  4. Ah yes, the supposed "lightning rod" that is Michael Voris.

    Credibility issue?

Good grief! Most of the AmChurch parishes and chancery offices could, at one time or another over the last 40 years, have lost "credibility."

Keep putting Michael on your blog, Mary Ann.

He raises issues that need to be raised.

  5. “Therefore, the catechetical presentations, the analysis of Catholic teachings or positions, and the commentary on Church leadership presented by St. Michael’s Media and/or RealCatholicTV— be they audio, video, or exclusively Web-based— cannot be approved or endorsed by the archdiocese at this time.”

    Director of Communications
    Archdiocese of Detroit

Either you submit to the authority of the Church or you do not. Or are you a Cafeteria Catholic who chooses to believe only what you want to hear because it fits in with YOUR idea of what the church should be. Like Mr. Voris. He's been chastised several times and recently urged people to ignore their pastors.

  6. There are plenty of dioceses that would not appreciate Voris' information. They don't like to be called out; but it is necessary to shine the light on their misdeeds.

  7. Ah, yes, the Archdiocese of Detroit -- that's where I attended Mass a few years ago and had the pastor say, "You're full of it, honey!" when I asked him about skipping the Creed. That was before he gave me the finger over his shoulder has he stomped off. Hmmm...maybe he's one of the pastors to be ignored...ya think?

Oh, and that's the diocese where a friend walked out of another nearby church when the priest changed the words of Consecration.

And gee, that's where Call to Action, the radical dissent group, got its start.

Somehow, I'm less than impressed with the diocese's statement. (But I'll write to Archbishop Vigneron and ask about it.) Isn't it interesting, though, that Real Catholic TV has Archbishop Chaput and Cardinal Burke willing to be interviewed and appear on their site. Maybe those bishops don't agree with McGrath. Division among the pastors was predicted by Our Lady at La Salette, Fatima, and Akita.

Yes, I'm definitely a cafeteria Catholic when it comes to eating at the table of dissent. I'll bypass that poisonous banquet every time in favor of the truth. And I agree that people should ignore their pastors if they are peddling a message that conflicts with the deposit of the faith. I haven't seen anything like that on Real Catholic TV. Let Ned McGrath address the issues instead of vague generalities!

  8. Dear Mr. Michaels,

With all due respect, sir, just because a particular church (i.e. the Archdiocese of Detroit) has decreed that "St. Michael and/or RealCatholicTV— be they audio, video, or exclusively Web-based— cannot be approved or endorsed by the archdiocese at this time" - does *not* mean that Holy Mother Church *as a whole* has taken their particular stand.

For example - Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz of Lincoln, Ne. has lauded Mr. Voris and RealCatholicTV as doing great good for the Church! (do a google search and look for the video yourself)

So, who is correct here? The spokesperson for the Archdiocese of Detroit or Bishop Bruskewitz?

To posit the opinion that the Universal Church has unilaterally decreed that she cannot endorse Mr. Voris or RealCatholicTV is misleading, Mr. Michaels.

    God bless you,

  9. You are welcome, Mary Ann. 8^)

Along these lines – somewhat off topic , but not completely – Mr. Voris is going to be giving a retreat in July at the Mother of the Redeemer Farm Retreat Center, just outside of Bloomington, Indiana.

This retreat center is sanctioned by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate have a friary there. (not only does the archdiocese have retreats there, so do other dioceses)

Obviously, if the archdiocese had a problem with Mr. Voris or RealCatholicTV or St. Michael Media, they would have canceled this retreat already.

    Yes, I will be attending.

    God bless Mary Ann,
    Catechist Kevin

  10. Wish I could be there. I'm on retreat in July with Fr. James Buckley of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter using the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. I've been making it annualy for almost ten years. I find the silence a real gift in this crazy, noisy world.
