It's Not Your Mother's Girl Scouts

They're still at it at GSA, shilling for abortion and propagandizing little girls with speakers who attack the family and promote the murder of the innocent. Isn't it time to flush the Thin Mints down the toilet and switch to homemade chocolate chip?

Girl Scouts Convention Features Pro-Abortion Speakers

  1. I am in California. I gave up buying Girl Scout cookies a long time ago because of the radical feminists who run it from the top. I only buy the Boy Scout items. My granddaughters will not be in Girl Scouts. Where is the father of this boy who thinks he is a girl? Probably this woman was never married to him or they are divorced, and he has no father figure in his life. That tells you what the problem is.

  4. I stopped buying Girl Scout cookies. I used to be a scout. It makes me sad to see how things have gotten.

  5. DEATH BY CHOCOLATE MINT COOKIES
or MINT CHOCOLATE DELIGHTS (to do these right you need to get the combination Nestle chips that are half chocolate and half-green mint)
    2 cups all purpose flour
    2/3 cup cocoa
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 cup butter (two sticks)
    2/3 cup of granulated sugar
2/3 cup packed brown sugar (I use the light brown variety)
    1 tsp. vanilla.
    2 eggs
10 oz. (1 2/3 cup) Dark Chocolate and Mint Morsels
    Do the usual way.
make cookies 1 tsp rounded (I use a little baby scoop and mash them a little flat)
Bake at 325 degrees for 11-13 minutes ... makes about 4 dozen

Great cookies! These fit into the theological observation that Chocolate is the sixth proof for the existence of God and a form of sanctifying grace bringing you to a state of quiet bliss so that you can fully enter into contemplation of the goodness of God. Even better than beer!

Was it Benjamin Franklin that said that beer is proof that God loves us? G.K. Chesterton would have agreed as would Hilaire Belloc.

  8. When I was a Girl Scout leader about 10 years ago, the cookies went over $3. a box (in Virginia). Our troop got 10 cents of that and if we wanted to do anything that cost money, we had to do our own fund raisers. We could only do them during the very cold months because fall was cooies and spring was calenders. What limited us even more was we could not do anything that was the same time as the United Way drive! Why do I write this? Some think that Girl Scouts is still OK on a local level because they know the leaders and girls. However, when you buy cookies, you really are supporting the big machine. Thank God for American Heritage Girls so that my girls can enjoy scouting.

    God bless,
    Kris
