Now why would a county bother people living out in the middle of nowhere, much less send armed teams out to harrass them? This reminds me of what happened to the people who lived in the mountains of Virginia when the government forcibly removed them to form the Shenandoah National Park. Don't get me wrong -- I love to go hiking in the park, but who gives the government to forcibly take people's property? This could happen to anyone. They begin by intimidating those with little support. But who's next? I suspect this is all about money as the video below suggests. It's almost always about greed. If this were you or your family, what would you do?

It hurt my heart to see some of the beautiful things these folks had done on their own that the county insisted that they destroy. This is just another example of government tyranny. I'm not a big fan of zoning laws where public health is not involved and even then there should be an objective standard.
ReplyDeleteGovernment is so often corrupt that I have little confidence that the interests of the general citizen are likely being served. When the land involved is out in a desert wilderness and they intentionally persecute the people then I think it is clear that some other motive is driving things. It should become a matter of record and they should be watched closely.
