Star Parker on Andrew Breitbart and the Collapse of America

I love to read Star Parker's insightful columns about what's happening in the U.S. Her column about Andrew Breitbart expands to examine the impact of the breakdown of moral values in the U.S. and the collapse of the country. And then she explains why the left hates Breitbart so much:
The left hates Breitbart for his effectiveness in getting out the truth.
Well, the truth is that moral collapse precedes economic collapse, and anyone with eyes can see that we are on the brink of economic collapse. In view of the unsettled world situation, the collapse of the economy in other countries and unstable governments like Iran on the brink of nuclear capability, I think we are also facing the likelihood of a third world war. I was discussing this yesterday with my brother, a college science professor. Things look pretty grim as the video below discusses.

Having said all that, the answer is not terror, but prayer. Padre Pio put it well, "Pray, hope, and don't worry." The Church Militant has the best "weapons" - the Eucharist, Confession, the rosary, other prayers and devotions, and a commitment to evangelize with the truth.

So pray, hope, don't worry, use the sacraments, and spread the truth.

  1. Breitbart was a pathological liar and a propagandist, a character assassin who intentionally sought to destroy innocent lives. Perfect hero for you, Mary Ann.

  2. Can you demonstrate that with facts? Or is your statement "propaganda and character assassination?"

I actually don't know much about Breitbart except for his exposure of ACORN with videos showing workers counseling a couple pretending to be a hooker and her pimp how to lie and get federal money to "destroy the innocent lives" of young girls used as sex workers.

  3. The video synthesizes what I have now believed for the last several years. The slight of hand maneuvers are now perfected by the politicians and media--Republican and Democrat alike. We are too distracted by the Right and Left paradigm to effect any real changes.

When the media says there ought to be a war will we all stand and salute? Or will we question why it is that it is only when war is concerned that we see a unity in votes of the Senate Republicans and Democrats?

The truth is that we have let the media and established politicians rule us for too long to make head or tail of anything that is happening except whatever they tell us.

How is it that we did not see the NDAA bill coming. We did not fight or raise objections against the National Defense Authorization Act until it was already signed. Now it is too late to do anything. We have given the federal government the authority to take over the streets and to confiscate guns through the military.

In addition, the same people who opposed Bush's Iraq war are the same people promoting President Obama's wars. This should wake us up.

I have turned off FOX News for a while now and I am glad to get alternative news from outside sources. It leaves me and my family better prepared.

But of course, the only certainty that will save us when hell breaks loose is the rosary and fasting.

The real question concerning Breitbart's unfortunate death is why he is dead from no apparent reason after he said he would release information about the President...and to top it all he was found by an unidentified man?

  4. Well, I don't know about Breitbart's death. The actuarial tables show a spike in the 40s from people who die of surprise massive heart attacks. My brother died in his early 50s from a heart attack. He collapsed and died at the scene. So I won't presume any foul play unless there's something from the autopsy.
