Liberal Rage and Intolerance: Chick-fil-A is only the Beginning!

If liberals needed exposing for their in-your-face-we-hate-you intolerance, the Chick-Fil-A episode has unmasked their bloody fangs. Nobody who believes in traditional marriage may go unpunished. Just like "gay" activists went after those who donated to Proposition 8 in California, they and their fellow travelers are now lunging for the throat of a business that's as American as apple pie and fried chicken.

Let's take a look at the back story that brought out the muttations foaming at the mouth for chicken blood and snapping at the heels of the company.  It began back in January with a story about Chick-Fil-A donating food to several traditional marriage conferences. That was enough to put the company on the radar screen for annihilation. In November, the gay advocacy group Equality Matters revealed that the company had donated close to $2 million to organizations that defend traditional marriage.  But the spark that ignited over-the-top intolerant rage against the company was an interview of 91-year-old president Dan Cathy with the Baptist Press. Here's the section of the interview that brought out the homosexual hatemongers:
The company invests in Christian growth and ministry through its WinShape Foundation (WinShape.com). The name comes from the idea of shaping people to be winners.
It began as a college scholarship and expanded to a foster care program, an international ministry, and a conference and retreat center modeled after the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove.
"That morphed into a marriage program in conjunction with national marriage ministries," Cathy added.
Some have opposed the company's support of the traditional family. "Well, guilty as charged," said Cathy when asked about the company's position.
"We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.
"We operate as a family business ... our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that," Cathy emphasized.
"We intend to stay the course," he said. "We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles."
And there you have it folks. Surprise! Cathy is not calling for lynching homosexuals or banning them from lunch counters. He doesn't refuse to serve them at his restaurants. He is simply defending his own belief in traditional marriage as the bulwark of the Christian family and society. What he implies in the interview is a dislike of divorce, for heaven's sake! Thousands of years of history support Cathy's view. What exactly supports the "gay" redefinition of marriage? Nothing -- not a single thing!

When did anyone give homosexuals the right to define for all of us that marital intercourse is the same as anal sex?  No one is denying civil rights of homosexuals by telling the truth that they can't marry. And I use the word CAN'T deliberately. It is a physical impossibility for two men or two women to marry each other because their bodies do not fit together. It's the natural law. It's like claiming your civil rights are being violated because you can't fly.

At any rate, liberal politicians are piling on telling the company not to open resturants in their cities. The intolerance and demagoguery of the politicians is shocking! Since when does a politician, elected by the people, have the right to use the force of government to discriminate against Chick-Fil-A. That's the discrimination here; not discrimination against homosexuals. Let the "gay" activists organize a boycott of the company. That's the American way. Frankly, I avoid Starbucks like bubonic plague. But that's not the same thing as using the power of the state to crush a business that is politically incorrect.

This is just the beginning and a warning to Christian businesses that kristallnacht is coming to them too. Stand up and fight while you still can!

Oh...and my advice. "Eat mor chikin."

I am a liberal and I fully support Mr. Cathay's right to believe whatever he chooses and to freely state his beliefs. As long as his restaurants do not discriminate against anyone dining in them... he can have at it. I also fully support people deciding not to eat there. The loudmouths will always get media attention, be they liberal or conservative. Most rational people (and yes, a good many of us liberals are rational! Maybe more than the neo-cons!) are not worked up about this guy. Stuff like this post and Facebook posts, etc., just feed the fire and offer both sides more incentive. This story has had its 15 minutes.

  2. This same type of thing is going on all over the country with homosexuals jamming and demonizing anyone who disagrees with their beliefs. It is their intolerance that is raising the heat level. And ignoring it will not make it go away. Chick-fil-A is one among many and the only reason the politicians have backed off their threats to refuse licensing, etc. is because of the strong reaction. In California homosexuals got people fired from their jobs because they donated to Proposition 8. These folks operate like fascists.

there are businesses you choose to boycott because of their policies and that is your right. And there are business I boycott and that is my right. It doesnt mean rage or intolerance, I am simply wearing the left shoe to your right, but it is the same pair. I grew up in the old South and my daddy wouldn't let us eat certain places because they wouldn't serve blacks--lots of places actually. I am sure you made the same moral choices in the days of the Old Dominion to resist discrimination. I am not going to give my money to businesses that give their money to discriminatory causes. It is there right to do so, but it is my right to choose not to do business with them. But enjoy your chicken 0--i believe they only serve the white meat

Re boycotting -- I agree with you, but that's not all that happened. A Boston mayor threatened to refuse city permits, Rahm Emmanuel in Chicago said he would find a way to keep franchises out. Christine Quinn, N.Y. councilman who is the favorite to be next mayor of NYC said she wants to kick Chick-fil-A out of New York.

This is more than individuals boycotting businesses they don't like. It's government discriminating against a business because of speech they don't like.

There is no evidence that Cathy has ever discriminated against anybody. For GOVERNMENT representatives to threaten him because they don't like his speech is unconstitutional! It's also stupid. Businesses bring jobs and jobs bring taxes. But true believing liberals only care about one thing -- destroying those who don't agree with them.

  7. Did you ever here of zoning laws? I'm not aware of any fast food restaurants in residential neighborhoods. I wonder how you'd feel about a porn shop? I wonder if they're welcome in Chicago.

  8. Anonymous at 8:07PM evidently would love a porn shop in his or her neighborhood as he or she believes that it is just great for people to use their anal canals, which are for feces, for intimate relations. Quite frankly, it is just a filthy filthy, habit, and anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that, and decent people will never give their approval to such a misuse of the human body, so I guess I do not want anonymous down the street from me either no matter his or her color of skin. At least I will not be making friends with some one who does not know their behind from a you know what. Sorry folks! but those are just the facts.
