From Bobby Jindal a Shocking Disappointment

Governor of Louisiana calls for over-the-counter sale of birth control

One more betrayal of women, especially the young. Chemical birth control is linked to cancer. Younger and younger women are experiencing more aggressive forms of breast cancer. A peer of one of my daughters whose mom had the doctor put her on the birth control pill at fourteen or fifteen ended up with double breast cancer in her early twenties. She's just one of the legion of young women damaged by these powerful drugs PRESCRIBED TO HEALTHY WOMEN FOR NON-MEDICAL REASONS! Talk about a war on women.

  1. Bobby Jindal wants to be president or at least VP or a cabinet position. Notice that he was one of the first, if not the first Romney supporter to turn against him after the election.

  2. Not buying the birth control argument especially to children. In my day we were taught abstinence and there were no abortions and there were few unwed pregnancies. No matter what type of prevention or medication you take in the end you have to take responsibility for your actions because there will be consequences.

  3. Are there any politicians that refuse to sell their souls to further their careers? I've given up hope in that possibility, largely due to massive corruption in our governmental system that either keeps the good ones out, or corrupts once they are in.....so sad!

  4. I am disappointed in Bobby Jindal, a Catholic, advocating over-the-counter birth control. I have been saying, and will go on saying, that we are in the mess we're in precisely because of Catholics caving on contraceptives. That is where Catholics forfeited grace, and that is where we also forfeited political clout. Once we caved on contraceptives, the way was clear for abortion and euthanasia and same-sex "marriage" and all kinds of other evils. And since birth control is our Achilles' heel, we opened ourselves up to the HHS mandate. Since so many Catholics now contracept, our enemies feel entitled to charge us with hypocrisy for suddenly caring about a doctrine we've been disobeying for decades. When are we going to learn?

  5. I totally agree with you, Anita. Contraception and divorce are two issues that have undermined the faith big-time. Is it any wonder Pope Pius V said all the evil in the world is due to lukewarm Catholics?

  6. I liked Bobby Jindal but not any more. Many people from East India here in California, who are mostly of the Hindu religion, are having and pushing for sex selection abortions, and it seems as if Governor Jindal, who is of East Indian descent, is slowly getting on their bandwagon and has forgotten his Christian promises.
