These folks exhibit arrested development. They are permanent children, not innocent children though. And they are engaged in a perpetual tantrum. Gosh, it gets old. Pray for them, but keep telling the truth. Pretending that something is true doesn't make it so. Two men or two women CAN NEVER BE MARRIED! It's that simple. Their body parts don't fit together.
As a gay man, I can say many of us of the older generation were emotionally stunted by an unaccepting community.

I'm sure you're right. We can all be better persons since we're all sinners. But becoming a "better person" requires, first of all, to give up sin. The Bible makes it clear that adulterers, murderers, sodomites, etc. will not enter the kingdom of heaven. As for being "emotionally stunted," the cure for that is to draw closer and closer to Jesus Christ. But you cannot draw closer to Christ while committing mortal sins. Suppressing the life of sin in ourselves is what makes us whole and holy. Those who support sin, on the other hand, ultimately contribute to the condemnation of those whom they say they love.
ReplyDeleteYou can't have it both ways. I have celibate friends with a homosexual inclination. I would no more support them in acting out on their inclinations than I would buy drugs for an addicted friend. Sometimes love needs to be tough!
