October: A Great Month for Saints!

Starting with St. Therese of Lisieux...

Don't you love the Little Flower? What a method to sainthood her little way is. Think of it: sanctifying every tiny act of your day and offering it to the Lord. From the small effort involved in just getting out of bed to making meals, washing up, making a phone call to cheer up a suffering friend, working the stitches on my prayer shawl, feeding the honeybees (They teach me about the sanctity of hard work!) writing a blog post. Gosh, the list is endless and every tiny thing on it can become a little offering for the Lord, a little flower placed on the altar. 

Thank you, St. Therese, for your wisdom and your holiness. How wonderful Holy Mother Church is to make you a Doctor of the Church.
