On the other hand, this entire scenario reminds me of of the Anschluss in 1938 when Hitler invaded Austria and forced its annexation to Germany. Even the language of WW II is being adopted by Kremlin analysts to discuss the "solution" to the Ukrainian problem. (See here.) If you recall your history, Stalin's Ukrainian solution was starvation. Seven MILLION people died there when the "breadbasket of Europe" was collectivized, the farmers robbed of their property and turned into slaves (the ones not sent to Siberia), and the food shipped out of the Ukraine and mostly sold in foreign markets to finance Stalin's war machine.
Is history repeating itself? Pray for peace.

Well, it's not good news that's for sure. And can anyone feel safe and confident with our bumbler-in-chief running the show? Hey, maybe he could offer ACORN to make house-to-house visits surveying the political positions of Ukrainian voters. It is revealing of President Obama's level of seriousness that, immediately following his tepid "warning" to Russia, he went off to a meeting of the Democratic National Committee where he said the following:
No surprise there. Remember what the president did while our ambassador and the Navy Seals were being murdered in Benghazi? First he went to bed and then he flew off to Las Vegas for a big fund-raising party. Why does this remind me of Nero fiddling while Rome burned?
What, exactly, is our obligation to the Ukraine? Apparently we have an agreement to defend their sovereignty which could get us involved in another military conflict.
