It's Not Just Those Right-Wing Conspiracy Nut Jobs Questioning Handling of Scalia Death!

Detectives question lack of autopsy in Scalia death.
"Bill Ritchie, a retired deputy chief and former head of criminal investigations for the DC police, said he was dumbstruck when he learned that no autopsy would be performed.  'I took a look at the report and I almost fell out of my chair,' Ritchie told The Post from his home in Maryland. 'I used to be an instructor in the homicide school. Every death investigation you are handling, you consider it a homicide until the investigation proves otherwise,' Ritchie said."
Sure leaves a lot of unanswered questions. Also makes you wonder about that great "conservative" state of Texas.

  1. In NY, if you are alone and die, police are called, the medical examiner claims the body and the police immediately seal the apartment until an autopsy establishes cause. A friend of mine lived and died alone and an autopsy was required before her body was released for burial.

Maybe you would say a prayer for her. Her name was Aviva. She was a non-practicing Jew and, at the time, I was a non-practicing Catholic! Other than myself, I don't think anyone prays for her.

  2. My rosary in front of the Blessed Sacrament this evening will be for Aviva. May the soul of Aviva and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

  3. I added Aviva to my noon rosary intentions.

I just want to also mention that I add the following to my prayers for the holy souls in purgatory. (Can be added to any prayer or okay by itself too).

"Have mercy on those who have no one to pray for them, for those who are forgotten and for those who are in most need of Your mercy, Lord." This "covers" souls like Aviva.

  4. Regardless of what happened (we will never know the real story and I am extremely suspicious), he should never have put himself in harms way by going alone to such a remote location. It was a perfect setting for mischief.
