Parents, Don't EVER Sign the Refusal to Vaccinate Form.

It can be used to take away your children. Most parents aren't against all vaccines. Many just want to spread them out so their babies' immune systems aren't overwhelmed. But this form was designed to make it possible to remove your children from your care due to parental negligence. Read the twelve reasons no parent should EVER sign this form.

Before your children are vaccinated, ask for the insert that comes with the vaccination. Read the risks. Be your child's advocate. Some vaccines may be contraindicated for children who have established health problems.
Find out all you can about the vaccines being given to your children BEFORE you see the needle.

Here's just one statement on the form that no parent in his/her right mind should agree to:
“Nevertheless, I have decided at this time to decline . . . I know that failure to follow the recommendations about vaccination may endanger the health or life of my child and others . . . I therefore agree to tell all health care professionals in all settings what vaccines my child has not received because he or she may need to be isolated or may require immediate medical evaluation and tests that might not be necessary if my child had been vaccinated.”

  1. A fellow nurse working on a floor in a big city hospital, was punished for refusing to get the Hep B vaccine. At the time, all hx males in NYC who rec'd the vaccine, became ill with HIV. The NYC Health Dept advertised they should all come and get a free Hep B inoculation.
She was told she would be transferred to the AIDS floor for not agreeing to be vaccinated. She accepted the transfer believing at least as a nurse, using universal or isolation precautions, she had a fighting chance to control her own exposure. Since the eighties, I have observed many nurses waive the Hep B vaccine.

  2. Is that for real? Is this a local opt-out form or federal? I have not seen or heard this. I am definitely looking into it. Thanks for the warning.
