Sunday Meditation: Want to Terrify the Devil?

Follow this advice from Fr. Gerard Saguto, FSSP

"It has become evident that we cannot all just get along -- and maybe that is a good thing -- but how we don't get along is very important. We do not go lopping off heads; rather, with firmness of faith, we go to the Cross and profess unashamedly the divine identity of the Crucified, ready to absorb what comes in a charitable effort to evangelize those steeped in the darkness of Islam and every other false religion. Always remember: the weapons of Christianity -- devout prayer, penance, the Rosary, and (most especially) the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass --- wage more terror in hell than a bomb does in an airport....No prayer, no sacrifice goes unremarked by our merciful Father in heaven.

  1. The beautiful thing about faithful Priests is they all sound the same, anywhere in the world, at any point in time. They don't make stuff up. They don't get bored with the way things are and ever shall be. They are simple, strong, godly men with a single-minded focus to get themselves and their flock to heaven. They are men of prayer, spending much of their free time with Jesus in His Tabeernacle. They are servants who spend most of their remaining free time aiding their flock and administering the Sacraments for them. And they are founts of orthodoxy; every single word as reliable as the earth we trod. They are Fathers as God intended.

THAT is Fr. Saguto. THAT is all the faithful Priests of the FSSP. I thank God for him and for them. And for good, simple, humble, learned, tireless, faithful Fr. Saguto.

  2. Lovely testimony. I'll be seeing one of those FSSP priests next week on retreat, Fr. James Buckley. What a gift to all his retreatants.
