Catholics need to be more aware that Muslims are taking over the West, desecrating our churches, raping our women and bullying our citizens. HERE IS AN EXAMPLE (and here it is again from the Daily Mail) of what we will live under when, not if - unless people WAKE UP! and STAND UP FOR CHRISTENDOM!! - Islam rules the world.

This isn't merely because of multiculturalism and political correctness that the Islamic situation has gotten out of hand, that we have opened the floodgates to radicals, that Islam at every juncture bullies, threatens, sues to get its way and if it doesn't then butchers, maims, slaughters, tortures and rapes to bulldoze its path into power. The Worldwide Caliphate stands before us, and what do we do? 

We argue about elections, talk about which way the priest should face at Mass, what this Cardinal or that one said or did, the Pope's latest ad lib out of the mouth faux pas. We blame Angela Merkel, Bush or Obama, when really it is our own pathetic uninterested fault. And don't even get me started on the Catholic hierarchy and leftist universities, both Catholic and non-Catholic.

This came as no surprise to me. When I read Amoris Laetitia (AL) it was clear that the document wasn't just targeting the indissolubility of marriage. It also targeted our children. I was shocked when hardly anybody paid attention to the disrespect shown toward parents in the document.

Topsy and Tuptim pegged it when they discussed Chapter 7, although they glossed over the paragraphs on sex ed. But it was clear as a bell that parents and extended family can't do the job of raising children. Nope, they need "the professionals."

It's all a question of "voodoo bookkeeping" and the Democrats are experts at it.

They've portrayed pro-lifers as terrorists for years for trying to protect the most innocent little members of the our human family; so daring to defend marriage must make us REALLY evil. Of course, Kaine used to be among the evil, but he's seen the light. After all, you can't be Democrat and profess the moral values of Jesus Christ. Moloch, Baal, Kali, and Gaia, on the other hand, are honorary lifetime members of the party of death.

The number of quotes I could mention from prominent Democrats which reveal this is probably endless, but here are a few that come to mind.  The first is from Nancy Pelosi, an unapologetic dissenting Catholic who said,

“I think that, so many times, white — non-college-educated white males have voted Republican. They voted against their own economic interests because of guns, because of gays, and because of God, the three G’s, God being the woman’s right to choose."

Yes, Catholics, You Can Morally Vote for Donald Trump!

You cannot morally vote for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine and their pro-abort, pro-same-sex marriage mandates. (Mark Shea, you are dead wrong and will be held morally accountable for telling Catholics to vote for that evil duo!) Clinton's positions and the Democratic platform are so evil, she and her party are disqualified.

You do not HAVE to vote for Donald Trump. If you're conscience tells you not to support either candidate, that is a justifiable moral choice. I've been there myself at times in the voting booth.

But you MAY morally vote for Trump with the hope that he will limit the evils facing us and give us time, as John Vennari points out, to raise our children and grandchildren.

My daughter and her husband not only lost their doctors and health care plan due to Obamacare (you know, the law that would allow everyone "who likes your plan to keep your plan" and "everyone who likes your doctor to keep your doctor"), they now pay $1700 a month (over $20,000 yearly) for a plan with a large deductible. They are paying at least twice as much as before.

Tim Kaine: Faux Catholic and Hypocrite Extraordinaire

Tim Kaine and his wife attend a parish in Richmond that is in a poor, black neighborhood, St. Elizabeth's. His pastor, Fr. James Arsenault, described him recently in an interview on the liberal NPR (National Public Radio) program, All Things Considered, as a "devout Catholic."

Really? Is he kidding?

Bishop Tobin of Providence publicly disagreed. Not only is Kaine a supporter of Roe v. Wade which allows abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, but he co-sponsored a bill that would overturn state abortion laws all over the country. He has a 100% pro-abortion record in the Senate. And he favors "gay marriage," another clear violation of Catholic doctrine. Obviously, this "devout Catholic" doesn't let his beliefs affect his politics. But, then, you can't be a Democrat unless you toe the party line which includes advocating abortion on demand without apology and promoting the LGBTQXYZ agenda.

I belong to an interesting book club. We alternate reading Church documents with reading the plays of William Shakespeare.

What's the connection?

The four of us just happen to be interested in both. But what I'm finding is that, as a Catholic, Shakespeare addresses the big moral issues just like the papal encyclicals do. The effects of the seven deadly sins: pride, avarice, anger (think of the number of tragedies that deal with murder), lust, etc. We've been drawing the plays at random, but choosing the encyclicals by interest (with the qualification of being pre-Vatican II). The second play drawn was Coriolanus. Despite two semesters of Shakespeare in college, Coriolanus is one of the few plays I'd never read.

Our kids have free will and we can do everything possible to help them be responsible, holy adults and still watch heartbroken as they make bad, self-destructive decisions. I take comfort in Proverbs 22: "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

Some children accept what parents say and believe, take it to heart, and never rebel. Others learn the hard way. They have to stick their fingers in the fire to see if it's really hot.

If I were a police officer, I would be on tenterhooks today, especially if I worked in one of the cities targeted by the Day of Rage protests. It's interesting, isn't it, that there's no rage over blacks killing blacks which is much more common than whites killing blacks including white police officers. But black lives only matter when the race baiters can use their deaths to advance their anti-white, racist agenda.

Did you know that more blacks were killed  by other blacks in two years (2010 and 2011) than all the blacks lynched between 1882 and 1968? Why don't those black lives matter?

And when it comes to racially motivated violent crimes, blacks kill whites much more frequently than the reverse -- at least seven times more often! This is particularly significant since blacks represent a smaller proportion of the population. Which means there are many more murderers among the black population than among the white population.

Hillary is a Criminal! When Will She Be Held Accountable?

Rehab Center Pressures 91-year-old Woman to Kill Herself

When I hear that word "choice" I recall all the young women I counseled (or tried to counsel) outside abortion mills. Many were being dragged into the building by a guy. I remember a few young men who snatched the information I gave the girls out of their hands and stuffed it in the back pocket while cursing at me and telling me, "She's already made her choice."

"No," I would reply, "You've made her choice." or "She's made your choice." Then I would warn the young woman that he would be gone in six months or less leaving her to deal with the fact that she killed her baby to please him.

Sometimes it was a mother bringing her daughter to the mill to kill her grandchild. That always made me especially sick. As the grandmom of two babies born before marriage, I shudder to think that they might never have seen the light of day if they were conceived in another family. Thank you, God and my daughters, for saying yes to life and giving me these precious gifts!

The report surfaced last week that Black Lives Matter leader DeRay McKesson plans to stir up a race riot at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland this July 18-21. Initially some were seeing this as a prank, but the shooting massacre in Texas that left 5 policemen dead clearly indicates the report is true. McKesson is the head of the Black Lives Matter racist group that organized the anti-white police protest in Dallas, which should prove to all that McKesson means business, and that this in fact is part of a larger plan—a plan that could envelop Cleveland and other U.S. cities.

But when a tragedy happens like the police officer shooting of Philando Castile, it's important to make sure you have the whole truth and don't jump immediately to the evil cop conclusion.

We've heard all about how Castile was targeted for a traffic stop because he was black and that he'd been arrested numerous times for minor violations. What we were NOT told is that an armed robbery in the same vicinity where Castile was stopped occurred a few days earlier, that Castile matched the description of one of the perpetrators, and that the police had received a bulletin the day before about the suspects with the video so they were on alert.

My colleague, David Martin, sent this article a few days ago. In view of the Dallas massacre of police last night, I think we should all have shivers running down our spines. Be sure to click on the link that relays the conversation between two BlackLivesMatter activists, Deray McKesson (BLM leader) and Johnette Elzie, about creating the "summer of chaos" with the aim of instigating martial law. Especially note their discussion of Attorney General Loretta Lynch's involvement, who, according to McKesson, told him "they want us to start really pushing how racist Trump is now instead of waiting so the others can start getting the protesters ready to shut both conventions down.” The tweets talk about busing in SIX TO EIGHT THOUSAND PROTESTERS to disrupt the GOP convention. This is a Communists tactic and it's the way liberal politics works. In two weeks we are likely to see a large Soros-funded violent protest of Cleveland's Republican Convention. Pray and do penance. Especially pray for the people of Cleveland. We're in for a rocky ride, folks! "St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle...."

He was no paragon of orthodoxy, but wasn't able to do too much damage because of our large number of solid priests. Hopefully that will continue, although we've lost a number of good priests during Bishop Loverde's tenure.
