What We Know About Hillary Weeping 

After reading the link above, I can honestly say, this is exactly why I would never vote for a woman for president.  We cry.  Inconsolably.  EVEN the toughest women among us and apparently Hillary is no exception. 

Men also cry, but in almost every case it is when the love in their heart overflows, not when they are disappointed or unable to cope.  Almost never does it prevent them from doing what must be done when they are called to act.  They are not disabled by their tears, they are, in fact, often inspired by them.

In the book, The Dark Side of the Moon, which includes a collection of true accounts of the atrocities within Russia, the authors of individual testimonies made it clear that often it was the female in a family of Russian prisoners of war from Poland and Ukraine who managed to survive when the husbands had given up due to the suffering they endured.  Women are good at suffering, maybe even better than men over the long haul.  The men in these situations could not see any path that would restore their role as provider, protector, defender and they gave up and died of their starvation and deprivation long before the women in the same circumstances.  The women survived because they expected to suffer and knew how to deal with it.  But women don’t deal well with injustice and perceived unfairness.  Men live out their entire careers understanding that “office politics” and job opportunities are almost never fair.  Men accept defeat in battle and shake hands with previous enemies, even when they know justice has not been handed out.  They also get in bar room brawls and after duking it out for twenty minutes, sit down and drink beer together.  Women would NEVER do that. 

The Church has wisely established an all male hierarchy, not as any slight to women, but in recognition of the fact that men and women make decisions differently.  We are entirely complimentary to each other, but different nonetheless.  Viva la difference!  Satan tempted Eve, not Adam in the Garden of Eden for a reason.  Not that she was not as smart as Adam, but because injustice was more likely to matter to her and she would be easier to tempt with the old lie of equality than Adam would have been. 

Hillary cried the way she did because she is a woman.  A man in her situation would have felt the same enormous loss, but he would have dealt with it.  She fell apart.  I don’t want a leader who can’t deal with the worst case scenario.  I want one strong enough to bear the pain of loss in any situation and remain focused on what is, in the end, the right thing to do, be it just or unjust, fair or unfair. 

Who knew Hillary was even capable of crying?  I’ve always thought she was tough as nails, that she didn’t have an emotional bone in her body.  Guess what?  When stuck, she bleeds just like the rest of us.  She cried because it wasn’t fair that she didn’t win.  It was her turn!  She cried because after having done her best to support Obama he let her down by not stopping the FBI when he had the power to do so.  She didn’t cry because Trump got more electoral votes than she did.  She cried because the outcome was not what she believed would be just and fair. 

Well, life isn’t just.  Justice is ultimately in God’s hands.  And total fairness is a myth.  My son-in-law, Aaron, can retrieve anything on the top shelf of my kitchen cabinets and I cannot.  How fair is that?  Life isn’t ever fair.  It simply is what it is.  Somehow men understand that, while women insist on whining about it. 

I understand Hillary’s disappointment.  I too have cried inconsolably a few times in my life, but however much I may sympathize with her pain, I am so thankful she is not our next president.  Our next leader will need great strength and manly resolve to guide this nation in the days ahead.  May God bless him.
