Dr. Mengele, call your office! Doctors in U.K. say Charlie Gard Case is Hopeless....Why?

....because he will have no "quality of life."

Now why does that remind me of the German doctors in the Third Reich who ran the T4 euthanasia program? You know, that was the program:
to kill incurably ill, physically or mentally disabled, emotionally distraught, and elderly people. Adolf Hitler initiated this program in 1939, and, while it was officially discontinued in 1941, killings continued covertly until the military defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945. (Source)
The source is actually incorrect. Hitler didn't initiate the program. Doctors did. He certainly didn't mind getting rid of "useless eaters" but it wasn't his idea. That came from a 1920 book written by a judge and doctor that argued it shouldn't be a crime to kill off people whose lives were "devoid of value," the ones who lacked a sufficient "quality of life." People like to make Hitler the monster bug-a-boo, but you don't end up with what happened in Nazi Germany from one insane, charismatic fanatic.

Hitler had lots of accomplices including doctors and scientists committed to creating a German Utopia. They killed off the WW I vets who were amputees or shell-shocked. They gathered up the retarded (including Pope Benedict XVI's cousin with Down Syndrome) and murdered them. They experimented with different methods including carbon monoxide poisoning to find the most efficient (and economical) one. They starved little children to death because they were bed-wetters or had deformed ears.

What about your "quality of life?" Would you pass the test? I'm not sure I would. I'm over 70 and have an auto-immune disease that requires an expensive drug. I was just diagnosed with vertigo and need appointments for physical therapy. Is that two strikes? Would a diagnosis of high blood pressure or diabetes be the tipping point for me?

What's the measure of a life? And who has the right to decide? When doctors are ticking off a survey on usefulness and "quality of life," how many of us will make the cut?

In the end, the only real cut that matters is the separation of the sheep from the goats on Judgment Day. How many advancing the culture of death will make that cut? I'm off to pray my rosary for the conversion of sinners. I hate to think anyone will go to hell because I failed to pray for them. And, as Mary told the children at Fatima, many go to hell for that reason. Will you join me in the rosary tonight? Let's pray for those playing God that they will repent before it's too late.

  1. The book Nazi Oaks by Mark Musser explains very clearly the direct connection between the "blood and soil" mentality of the Germans and the "green movement" today that works heinously to preserve not man but the environment.

One of the best books you will ever read if you want to understand what the hell these people are up to.
