Here's a "Gotta Read" by Robert Knight on the Millennial Embrace of Socialism

Socialism’s predictable outcomes:
KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov predicted what's happening
25 years ago calling it "ideological subversion."
Despite several horrifying current examples of nations in the grip of socialism, many of America’s millennials are happily skipping down the socialist Yellow Brick Road toward an Oz that could never be.
It isn’t just Bernie Sanders’ young legions of admirers. A recent survey showed that a whopping 44 percent of young people favor socialism over capitalism, with seven percent opting for outright communism and seven percent more for fascism. It adds up to a majority wanting total government control over the economy — and their lives, if they stop to think about it.
The more than 100 million murdered in communist nations and by the Nazis during the 20th century? Ancient history that has gone down a memory hole. (Read more...)
The dumbing down of American youth has been very deliberate. Gut the curriculum and replace it with sex ed, drug ed, safe touch (sex ed in disguise), political correctness, rewritten history demonizing the founders and other historical figures, etc. ad nauseum and you get exactly what the Commies aimed for -- "ideological subversion." Watch the KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov in the two videos below explain how we've reached the terrible situation we're in. (He was actively working to expose the truth from the 60s to the 80s.) Note the four stages he describes based on Marxist-Leninist principles used to destroy a nation. We're seeing that happen with the community organizers promoting so many:
demoralization -- takes 15 to 20 years because it is a slow process to subvert the kids. Here's how the Conservative Treehouse describes this stage. Elimination of American Exceptionalism, fundamental change of national identity, structural deconstruction of foundational principles, elimination of religion. Embedding a new societal design upon the psyche of generations through ideological academia. Peer pressure by elites upon academics and society to convince that prior values were inherently flawed, racist, prejudiced etc. National identity is diluted with aspersions toward historical references. National history is re-written, re-defined, and molded to fit the new intended behavioral model and create the new values. Once completed, this stage is "irreversible." We are "stuck" because it takes another 15-30 years to educate the next generation and turn the culture back to our foundational state.
destabilization -- 2 to 5 years aiming to subvert the economy, foreign relations, and defense systems. He talks about how fast it has taken place in America and he was speaking 25 years ago.
crisis -- can happen within only a few weeks as it did in Cuba and in some of the South American countries. How can it happen so fast? Because of the patient preparation and the "useful idiots" who embrace the lies.
normalization -- which can last indefinitely -- a "cynical definition" where the Marxist government describes the tyranny as "normal."  No dissent is allowed.
"The time bomb is ticking....You will have no place to defect to....You are in a state of war and you have precious little time to save yourself....All the freedom to homosexuals, prisoners...will disappear."

  1. Thank you for posting this, Mary Ann.
I want to add to it a short list of books people should consider reading, starting with Witness, by Whittaker Chambers, and secondly, School of Darkness, by Bella Dodd.

"Ex" communists are our best source of the unvarnished truth about what socialism/communism holds in store for those who flirt with the idea that it is a better plan for society than that arranged by God for mankind.

I highly recommend that people consider adding the following books to their reading lists:

    I Chose Freedom
    The Real Soviet Russia
    Assignment in Utopia
    Russia's Iron Age
The Dark Side of the Moon by Anonymous

  2. Best book on USSR/Russia is Secondhand Time. Oral histories of interviews of a broad range of people who lived through it. Award-winner probably in most public libraries
