Both Darden and I were there. Indeed there were lots of young families, with lots of little ones. You can see them peppered throughout the video. Darden and I are both featured in the video as well. Reverence abounded.
I wish I could have been there. It coincided with our first camping square dance weekend and we also had tickets to The Merry Widow in Winchester. Hopefully, this will be only the first of many such events. I love the Shrine. When we lived in Alexandria I went there often and. in fine weather, to the National Arboretum. We always made it a pilgrimage with a rosary over, a rosary and Mass at the Shrine, and a rosary on the way home. That's one of the few things I really miss about living in the white knuckle zone (the name I gave the area because of the traffic).
