Nabi Sayeth: A Sad but Enlightening Story

Nabi sayeth: in addition to our Holy Scriptures and the Catholic Church’s teachings, the Greek classics offer profound examples of wisdom to those who are humble enough to receive it. Here is a most important example that certainly addresses the tragic situation in West Virginia…..

Perhaps you have heard of the ancient Greek legend of Narcissus.  He was supposedly the son of a river god.  A seer had told his mother that her son must never see his reflection if he were to mature into manhood.  For that reason, everything that threw off an image, such as metal, was removed from her son's grasp.  But one day Narcissus found a spring that formed a pool filled with crystal-clear water.  As he stooped down to take a drink from the pool, he saw his reflection on the surface of the pool.  He fell desperately in love with himself, and seeking to embrace himself, he fell into the water and he drowned.

It seems that the chancery crew along with their FORMER leader, Michael Bransfield, had all seen and worshipped their “reflections.” If only they could have spent their efforts and energy on glorifying Jesus and serving the needs of His people. Would they be in the situation in which they find themselves today?

If only they had listened to the words of Jesus with regard to loving His children and protecting them in Mark 10: 15-16:

“Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.”
16
Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them.

If only they had listened to the words of Jesus who time and time again taught His disciples about true greatness which is not to be found in Volvo’s, BMWs’, Eschalades, and titles such as “His Excellency” and “My Lord”...Mark 9: 35…

35
Then he sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.”

If only they had kept their promises to renounce sex for the Kingdom of God. Matthew 19: 12….

“some, because they have renounced marriage (sex) for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Whoever can accept this ought to accept it.”

If only they could have spoken the truth at all times and humbly so, Would member’s of the hierarchy have had to hire Public Relations personnel to speak with political correctness on their behalf or lawyers to rescue them from their misdeeds?....Mark 5:37…

“Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’ Anything more is from the evil one.”

If only FORMER bishop Bransfield had listened to the prophet who met with him in May 2014 and who called him to repent of his sinful lifestyle no less than seven times. Rather than get furious with the messenger if only he could have humbled himself and repented….Luke 13: 34….

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearned to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were unwilling!”

If only ALL of the Lavenders, at every level and rank, had done what they had promised God they would do at their ordination as priests or bishops. If they had lived their lives radically for others avoiding lusts and earthly desires, they would not be facing eternal condemnation….Luke 17: 1-2…
He said to his disciples, “Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur.
It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.
My Friends, they ignored the words of Our Lord Jesus and disobeyed the teachings of His Holy Church in a dishonest, deceptive and narcissistic manner. And even though they have brought sadness and pain to you, we must all pray that they repent before it is too late….and please remember, God is ever faithful. He will reject the bad shepherds but He will NEVER forsake you…Jeremiah 23: 1-4
1
Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the flock of my pasture—oracle of the LORD.
2
Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who shepherd my people: You have scattered my sheep and driven them away. You have not cared for them, but I will take care to punish your evil deeds.
3
I myself will gather the remnant of my flock from all the lands to which I have banished them and bring them back to their folds; there they shall be fruitful and multiply.
4
I will raise up shepherds for them who will shepherd them so that they need no longer fear or be terrified; none shall be missing.
