What the Hell is THAT?

  1. Perhaps he thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt with a new Papal motto: "Walk softly and carry a big stick."

  2. I was thinking the same thing, Mary Ann. :^)

That or a giant chicken wishbone.

  4. He left the rest of his pitchfork at home.

  5. More disturbing than the stick was his repeated reference to "the Spirit". Not the Holy Ghost, third person of the Holy Trinity, or even the Holy Spirit, which is maybe "too Catholic"?? Just "the Spirit." The spirit of what father? Of what?

  6. I think the Francis gang is getting desperate for time and I think we can expect more bizarre moves and behavior in the near future. If you believe, as I do that his actions are in coordination with secula powers then he's running out of time to move our Catholic Church to a position acceptable to to world, deleting all we know as Catholic. First of all he's no spring chicken. Secondly Vegano is hot on his trail. And Donald Trump is in the White House. And Britain will be out of the EU in six months. Buckle up!

  7. Not sure what to say at this point. Just going to start morning prayer with my kiddos. See Barnhardt link:

  9. Fransoros looks like he's stolen a wizard's staff from the "Lord of the Rings" movies. Why am I not surprisd?

  10. Ann Barnhardt posted an article today (10/03/2018) on this very topic on her blog, at www.barnhardt.biz. She identifies the staff as a Satanist implement called a _Stang_. I hope she is wrong, but she makes a convincing case.

  11. From Father Z: it was from the young people at the Synod,

    http://wdtprs.com/blog/2018/10/what-is-that-synod2018/

“ACIPRENSA has a story in Spanish about the meaning of the stick thing that Francis had the other day.

It might look just like a “stang” used in satanic rituals, but it was gift from young people intended to be ” Jesus crucified with arms joined by a nail and sculpted in the shape of a bamboo.” And, “In the torn heart of Jesus on the cross is guarded a small seed, that seed that dies to bear fruit and our hope. And it reveals the secret to make life flourish, love, “said the young woman explaining the meaning of the staff.”

  12. You left off Fr. Z's final paragraph which changes the tenor just a wee bit:

"So, when you see it now, repeat to yourself… no, the vestments in Ireland did not have an interlocking trio of sixes… no, the stick thing is not a stang. It isn’t. It isn’t."

Seems like not believing our eyes and our ears and keeping our mouths shut is more and more necessary to this papacy -- like the three monkeys.

Oh, and God didn't really say not to eat the apple.

  13. That the 2 girls presented Francis with the stang-staff and asked him to use it at the youth synod is all too contrived and STAGED. Who are the 2 girls? Where did they get the thing? Who made it? What's it made of? And it was born out of the seed of whose brain to begin with? What is their agenda? The backstory will be interesting if it is ever divulged, because there is always an agenda with something as terribly odd as this.

  14. So I guess it has happened. Jesus Christ lied to us. The gate of hell have prevailed in the Church. Peter is the devil, just like all those opposed to the Church have been telling us for centuries. Now we know we can never again trust any Pope. It is up to the laity to rule the Church. We are just like the Protestants. The Catholic Church as it has existed for over 2000 years is dead.

  15. Now you are being ridiculous.

Not every pope in the history of the Church has been a holy saint. There were fornicators who fathered children... murderers who killed their predecessor in order to rise to the papal throne...liars...heretics (Remember the Arian heresy?)....God allowed it all, but do you have the temerity to say those evil men were chosen by the Holy Spirit? That, indeed, would be a blasphemy against God because it implies that He deliberately chooses evil men to lead the Church! God never promised us holy popes. In fact, one of the proofs that He stays with the Church is the fact that evil men WITHIN THE CHURCH have not been able to destroy her.

But back to this particular assault on the faith.

The stang was presented to the pope by a young woman wearing a red thread bracelet which is used in satanism. Innocent? Coincedence? Just a bracelet?

The "coincedences" in this papacy begin to pile up. In a court of law, such evidence "beyond a reasonable doubt" can convict.

But I'm not getting into an extended back in forth with you, Mary, because we've been there, done that and I expect the judgments about the state of our souls comes next. So please go back to Brooklyn and defend this latest shameful atrocity on your own blog.

  16. All of those popes you are talking about were morally corrupt. They did not mislead the Church in their teachings. There is no guarantee that the Pope will be a holy man. He is as susceptible to sin as any of the rest of us. Those examples you give are proof of that. And Pope Francis has actually proclaimed himself as a sinner. And no, I do not believe that the Holy Spirit personally picks the Pope. But once a man is installed in the Chair of Peter, he comes under the protection of the Holy Spirit. He can still sin and lose his own salvation. But he now has the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, the authority to bind and loose. He cannot preach heresy. That is what sets the Catholic Church apart. That is what makes us a divine institution as opposed to man made Protestant churches.

The Church was founded on Peter, the rock. If you can destroy Peter, you can destroy the Church. It has never happened in 2000 years. But if we accept your statements about Pope Francis, we would have to conclude that it is happening now.

  17. Is he in fact Peter?

There have been a number of times, several dozen in fact, when more than one man claimed the chair of Peter.

In fact there is a long list of anti-popes since the third century.

Jesus told us we would know men by their fruits. I have no idea at this point whether Francis is a legitimate pope or an imposter. There is no doubt that he is "morally corrupt." His resurrection of McCarrick after Pope Benedict's sanctions against him proves that. He is a liar and a deceiver who himself protects clergy sexual abusers.

Is he a legitimate pope or an anti-pope -- time and history will tell.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yes, Mary Ann, we have definitely had anti-popes. But as you say, that can only happen when more than one man claims the title. Right now, only Pope Francis is laying claim to that title. Pope Benedict has made it very clear that he has renounced the papacy. Therefore it is impossible to have an anti-pope. The only alternative to accepting Francis as pope is sedevacantism. It's either Francis or the Chair is empty.

Pope Francis is "morally corrupt"? As you wrote earlier, by their fruits we will know them. This is a Pope who has performed verifiable healings and has done at least one exorcism in public which was confirmed by other exorcists. How can someone who casts out demons be in league with the devil?

As far as "resurrecting" McCarrick, Edward Pentin reported that his inside source quoted Pope Benedict as saying that there were never official sanctions against McCarrick, that it was a "private request" that he keep a "low profile". I am not sure I even believe that. As the record shows, McCarrick never disappeared from public view. McCarrick even went to the Vatican more than once in that time period, and was photographed being warmly greeted by Benedict on the last day of Benedict's papacy. Why would Benedict greet someone who was ordered to a life of prayer and penance? McCarrick was approved by three popes, one of whom is now a saint. Francis is the only one who actually took action against him.

I am not defending Francis as much as I am defending the Papacy. I highly doubt that Frances is morally corrupt, but even if he is, that does not make his papacy any less legitimate. As you yourself wrote, we have had legitimate popes who were, without question, morally corrupt. We even had a child pope. But as Catholics we recognize that because the papacy was created by Jesus Christ Himself, only He has authority over that office. It is up to Jesus to deal with bad popes. That is not the role of the laity. The Papacy is not the presidency. We can't impeach a bad Pope.

I know you said you did not want to go back and forth with me, and I will actually be surprised if you publish this comment. I am writing this for you, Mary Ann. I want you to understand. But don't ask me why. I can't explain it.

  20. The devil is capable of healing and of super-powers. Ever read about Rasputin and his influence in pre-Bolshevik Russia because he was so powerful in helping the hemophiliac son of the czar?

As for the papal exorcism. It's a little bit of a stretch. The videos on line show Francis spending less than thirty seconds praying over a boy who looks autistic and grimaces, something autistic youngsters do. If you've read anything about exorcisms, you know they generally require the exorcist to engage in a formal extended ritual over a period of time and many meetings. The evil spirits don't disengage easily.

As for Pope Benedict, he instructed the secretary of state to impose sanctions on McCarrick. That sure doesn't sound private to me. https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/pope-benedict-confirms-he-disciplined-mccarrick-sources-claim

I know you don't think Francis is morally corrupt. You've made that plain and reserve your condemnation for clerics like Bishop Schneider, Cardinal Burke, Archbishop Vigano, Fr. Z, Fr. Gerard Murphy, and on and on. That's why I almost never go to your blog anymore -- you judge everyone while claiming not to judge.

Au revoir on this thread. I think I've given you adequate space to have your say.

  21. You remind me of the Pharisees accusing Jesus of casting out demons through the power of Satan. You are going down a dark road, Mary Ann.

    Thanks for letting me post.

  22. To Catholic In Brooklyn:

The Church does not depend upon the infallibility or mere goodness of the Pope. He is not infallible, none have been; nor is this one good. This Pope, (I do not believe he is the true Pope) is the most evil in all history of Popes. My faith is not shaken by that. He is a man. He must choose good or evil like us all, like the first Peter, whom Christ prayed for. An evil *Pope* does not change the reality of the *Papacy* one iota. The Seat Of Peter remains, pure and unsullied, even when it is occupied by an evil man. The Church is still pure as driven snow, even when it is filled with living reprobates. Because the Mystical Church exists outside of time and place. It does not rise and fall on we, the living. God gave us the Church and the Seat Of Peter and no living man controls the essence and purity and the eternal reality of that.

This "Pope" is evil. If we did not know it before, we know it now. We must decide. Christ's Vicar is not proclaiming Christ crucified to the Youth Synod and the world; His Holy Crucifix held high on the ferula. Rather, Christ's Vicar is proclaiming Wicca to this LGBTQ Youth Synod, holding high his evil Warlock Stang with Christ nearly subsumed into the evil wood and His blessed spike run through the fork. We cannot ignore it. It is, what it is. One way or another, we must all choose: accept it, or reject it. Me and my house: reject.

  23. And Christ told the Pharisees that had the people not been there to greet him on His entrance to Jerusalem, then the rocks would of cried out.
