Now let's take a hard look at Gregory and the insanity of sending him to follow disgraced Cardinals McCarrick and Wuerl.
Gregory is well-known for being a man who promotes and advances the gay agenda. Check out this article from The American Spectator:
Atlanta Archbishop Wilton Gregory was a protégé of the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin, who played a leading role in the Gaying of the Catholic Church in America. In a nod to that legacy, Bernardin requested the Windy City Gay Men’s Chorus perform at his funeral. As an auxiliary bishop under Bernardin in Chicago, Gregory witnessed the spread of homosexuality within the priesthood and hierarchy up close. Bernardin’s seminary was known as the “pink palace.”
As archbishop of Atlanta, Gregory has maintained Bernardin’s program of gay promotion and propaganda in the Church. Gregory, for example, has defended the writings and speeches of Fr. James Martin, a Jesuit who openly calls for the Church to adjust herself to the demands of the “LGBT community.”
In 2010, Fr. Juan Areiza, one of Gregory’s priests, got entangled in a gay scandal exposed by CBS Atlanta. Areiza and another priest had fastened their lustful affections upon a gay bar patron named Dale Chappell, who complained to CBS Atlanta that the two priests “conspired together to just to use me for sex.”...
Where is Areiza today? He is the pastor at St. Pius X parish in Conyers, Georgia, appointed to that position by Wilton Gregory in June of this year.
All of this makes Gregory’s famous comment, made as the 2002 abuse scandal erupted, that “It’s an ongoing struggle to make sure the Catholic priesthood is not dominated by homosexual men” all the stranger. Why he made that comment, given his complicity in the Gaying of the Church, remains a mystery. He was and is a member of a powerful liberal ideological faction that normalized homosexuals in the priesthood and hierarchy. [Read more here....]The Chicago gay men's chorus sang at the wake and used their invitation as a p.r. tool to claim the Church was showing her approval for homosexuality. It certainly showed Bernardin's!
Bernardin spent some of his last hours with Ann Landers on the phone and by his bedside. And this man was Gregory's mentor. Gregory himself has a horrible record. He assigned a gay-enabling pastor of a parish that marches in Atlanta's Pride Parade as a "spiritual guide" for sex abuse victims! Really...you can't make this stuff up.
Richard Sipe, former priest and well-respected psychotherapist who died last summer published a list of bishops with what he believed was their sexual orientation writing, "In posting the following names it must be clear that there is no accusation of sexual activity on the part of anyone named. Listed here are opinions of orientation. Each name has been closely vetted based on some—usually public—facts that can lead to a reasonable opinion." He listed Bernardin as homosexual/bisexual and Gregory as homosexual. Many on the list are well known for dissent from Church teaching and promotion of the homosexual lifestyle. Gregory being asked to take over in D.C. is one more indication that it's business as usual in the gay-promoting hierarchy. Gregory is cut from the same cloth as Bernardin, McCarrick and Wuerl. There is no way he will clear the swamp and remove the alligators and snakes. The gay subculture continues to thrive and eat away at orthodoxy in Holy Mother Church.
My friends and family in the Archdiocese of Washington deserve better! So does Holy Mother Church.

When the USCCB gets together in June it will be a big celebration for those on the "Highway to Hell" singing, "We Are the Champions." These "men" better wake up to the reality that Jesus is a Just Judge and the way they continue to live will bring them to their knees at their immediate jugement if they don't "see the handwriting on the wall." Will any of them be standing after the Illumination of Conscience or will they die from shock of seeing their true destiny if they don't turn around. We won't have to worry about vocations since there may not be too many faithful left to receive the sacraments. The churches will close and priests will no longer dress in clerical garb and celebrate Mass in the homes of the faithful. May Jesus have mercy on us!

Assigning this man to Washington says it all about the power of the lavendar mafia.
Gregory is, of course, one of "Bernardin's most favorite boys"! Why isn't Bishop Clark of Rochester listed. He was Bishop Hubbards very good buddy and classmate at Mater Christi seminary in Albany, NY.
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to know how Sipe decided whom to list. I can think of a number of other dissenters who could be added to the list. Maybe he didn't have what he considered sufficient information to make a reasonable conjecture.

ReplyDeleteThe feast of Divine Mercy, as recorded in the diary of Saint Faustina, receives from Jesus Himself the biggest promises of grace related to the Devotion of Divine Mercy. In specific, Jesus said that a person who goes to sacramental confession (the confession may take place some days before) and receives holy communion on that day, shall obtain the total forgiveness of all sins and punishment. That means each person would go immediately after death to heaven without suffering in purgatory (or hell).

ReplyDeleteAs I recall Richard Sipe worked for papal nuncio in DC at one time. My recollection was that it was Cardinal Pio Laghi.Private letters of abuses from Bishops and other clerics crossed his desk. Richard saw where so many reports were headed for the Catholic Church and presented the Bishops with an accurate study and warning which they, to his great frustration , ignored.Although we did not agree on every aspect concerning the problems in the Church, I found him always to be a kind and sincere man. He always said ,"Have Courage!"
