Here's Why I Won't Wear a Mask: Neurologist Warns about the Dangers of Masking

Brain Damage From Masks CANNOT BE REVERSED

I don't have enough brain cells left to afford to lose any.

And keep in mind that masking is especially dangerous to children:
For children and adolescents, masks are an absolute no-no. Children and adolescents have an extremely active and adaptive immune system and they need a constant interaction with the microbiome of the Earth. Their brain is also incredibly active, as it is has so much to learn. The child’s brain, or the youth’s brain is thirsting for oxygen. The more metabolically active the organ is, the more oxygen it requires. In children and adolescents every organ is metabolically active.
To deprive a child’s or an adolescent’s brain from oxygen, or to restrict it in any way, is not only dangerous to their health, it is absolutely criminal. Oxygen deficiency inhibits the development of the brain, and the damage that has taken place as a result CANNOT be reversed.
The child needs the brain to learn, and the brain needs oxygen to function. We don’t need a clinical study for that. This is simple, indisputable physiology. Conscious and purposely induced oxygen deficiency is an absolutely deliberate health hazard, and an absolute medical contraindication.

It's time to just say no to mandatory masking. Let me say that again. I am not opposed to masking. I am opposed to mandatory masking.  If you want to wear a mask, go for it. I have no problem with your decision. But don't tell me I must wear a mask. Just back away from me if you're afraid I will infect you. I won't be offended. I keep my social distance from everyone, especially those wearing masks. But I'm not interested in increasing my risk of dementia from oxygen deprivation. The evidence is AGAINST masking:

An Evidence Based Scientific Analysis of Why Masks are Ineffective, Unnecessary, and Harmful

Masks have their place in surgical suites and other health care places.  I have warn masks, gowns, and gloves in hospital visit with family when the hospital required it. I wore one on a recent airline flight to Texas and at the airport because I could not go to my granddaughter's wedding if I wouldn't. Outside of that, I will not wear a mask. I will not wear a mask at a restaurant from the door to the table. It makes no sense at all to pretend that the virus has no impact on those seated and eating, but flies around those walking to the table.

When things don't make sense, one needs to ask a big question -- WHY? Since this makes no sense, why is it being require?

WHY?

  1. If this were true we should know a lot of OR nurses and Surgeons with brain damage.
    But it's not.

  2. https://www.sciencetimes.com/articles/28051/20201104/science-says-face-masks-dont-cause-oxygen-deprivation-neurological-damage.htm

The American Lung Association also has articles on this neurologist's false claims.

  3. Both of these articles were basically the same and gave no details about the "scientists" who say masks are no problem or anything about the studies. Seems to me that the neurologist and all the frontline doctors saying mask wearing is not effective are also "scientists." There is disagreement about the efficacy of masks. Did all these doctors saying no problem test oxygen levels for five minutes or for eight hours? We aren't told. There are plenty of studies showing that oxygen levels DO go down. As for brain damage....Like smoking, the damage may not appear for years. Here's just one study on deoxygenation in surgeons wearing masks for an hour. http://scielo.isciii.es/pdf/neuro/v19n2/3.pdf And then there are all the linked studies in this article.https://www.meehanmd.com/blog/2020-10-10-an-evidence-based-scientific-analysis-of-why-masks-are-ineffective-unnecessary-and-harmful/

As I've said in the past. I oppose MANDATORY masking. I haven't infected anyone and I have rarely worn a mssk since last March. I tested negative for the virus when my husband went into the hospital for surgery, but I will not be tested again. I will continue to try to boost my immune system and go about my daily routine. I attended a family wedding several weeks ago and am not aware that ANYONE who attended has been sick and they were taking names and phone numbers for contact tracing at the reception.

We will have a normal Thanksgiving with our children and their families. I will act the same way I do about all highly contagious illnesses from the seasonal flu to the common cold -- stay home if I"m sick and move away from people who appear to be sick whether they are wearing a mask or not.

  4. I’m thankful for the mask wearing exemptions in most states that allow people who have a condition in which wearing a mask makes breathing more difficult not to wear one. Notice it doesn’t say a diagnosed condition. Are there people whose breathing is not affected by wearing a mask? I can’t imagine wearing one.
