Virginia Parents, The Schools Are Subverting Your Authority! Wake Up!

Virginia is a leader in perversity in the schools and has been for decades. Back when my kids were youngsters in elementary school 35 and more years ago, Fairfax County was promoting Planned Parenthood style sex ed. I went and previewed some of the materials. Parents were presented as the enemy. In a movie titled Hassles and Hangups, narrated by Michael Douglas, parents were the ones who caused all their kids problems by "hassling" them and giving them "hangups." Parents were depicted screaming at their kids. Ah... but they could go to the friendly school counselor to get all the help they needed (and all the drugs and plugs). I overheard the facilitator say to someone after the movie that they were showing the "least controversial" items.

Really!

A filmstrip for 6th graders showed a man in a white lab coat telling a student that the way to avoid STDs was "not to change sexual partners too frequently." For 6th graders! Hello, that's 12-year-olds.

And the perversion continues. LifeSiteNews describes the latest gender insanity proposals here with a link to what I can only describe as a horrifying proposed policy on gender issues for Virginia schools.

What will be the impact if the document becomes mandatory?

  • Biological males will be allowed to use girls' bathrooms and shower facilities, play on female teams, sleep with the girls on field trips, etc. Here's what the document says: "Whenever schools provide sex-segregated activities such as physical education classes, students should be allowed to participate in a manner consistent with their gender identity. Students have the right to equitable access to programs, activities, and events that include but are not limited to acknowledgements, dances, assemblies, after-school programs, extracurricular activities, intramurals, non-competitive sports leagues, and field trips. For overnight field trips, the school should not force the student into single-occupancy accommodations that are not required for other students; however, such alternative accommodations should be made available to any student requesting them."
  • And more: "Students should be allowed to use the facility that corresponds to their consistently asserted gender identity.....It can be emotionally harmful for a transgender student to be questioned regarding the use of restrooms and facilities. School staff should not confront students about their gender identity upon entry into the restroom."
  • Watch for parents to be stigmatized and condemned if they won't buy into the transgender insanity and try to protect their children. The report even talks about reporting parents to Child Protective Services. "Additionally, privacy and confidentiality are critical for transgender students who do not have supportive families. Disclosing a student’s transgender status can pose imminent safety risks, such as losing family support or housing....School divisions will need to consider the health and safety of the student in situations where students may not want their parents to know about their transgender status, and schools should address this on a case-by-case basis. If a student is not ready or able to safely share with their family about their transgender status, this should be respected. There are no regulations requiring school staff to notify a parent or guardian of a student’s request to affirm their gender identity, and school staff should work with students to help them share the information with their family when they are ready to do so. Refer to additional discussions regarding when parents are aware of but are not affirming of the student’s transgender status in the next section."
Read the report in full. It's chilling. Parents need to fight this at the local level and state level. Start at the website of your local school board. Get to know your representatives. Sensible parents need to start running for the school board. Either that or get ready to have your children taken from you psychologically and emotionally, maybe even physically. Your kids are being brainwashed to accept insanity as normal!

  2. There is nothing wrong with the government school that abolishing it won't cure!
Jefferson's worse idea, government (taxpayer) financed secular education! Where is THAT in the Constitution? Schooling belongs to parents! They can employ a purified Church to assist, but lacking that they must home school with the help of co-religionists.

  3. The proposed policy for gender issues in Virginia schools is 26 pages of, at the very least, a thousand ways for people to concoct lawsuits against teachers, schools, school boards and the state. It's a huge opportunity for piles of $$$$$$$ for all those in universities majoring in gender study law.

Just to be clear I will sign this comment as: Susan Matthiesen, cisgender, (she/her). A-woman.

  4. It's always about money isn't it? The public schools are a cesspool! There are some good teachers, but the bureaucracy is making it harder and harder for them to function.

  5. I want to know when this reaches Dearborn, Michigan. That is a predominantly Muslim community, is it not? What's going on there. Michigan is a "progressive" state, right? Well, what has all this promotion of gender madness brought to public education there. Let's see how the Muslim community feels about their children being taught the scandalous lies children in other schools are going to be taught, and see the response. And if it is not taught there, I would like to know why not. Why are the children of Dearborn being excused from this? Are the parents there going to be threatened with CPS if they do not wish their children to be so indoctrinated? I may be wrong, but I have a feeling this will not be well tolerated in Dearborn. Perhaps I am wrong, and the Muslim community has capitulated like all the white bread communities. I will be surprised if that is the case.
What has to happen, what must happen, is pushback, there is no other option. My guess is the regime will not try to bring this to Dearborn, and we must ask ourselves, why not. What does Dearborn have that we don't. Then we need to come to some hard realizations.
Unless and until the authorities understand the depth of the problem when they bring tyranny, then, bring it they will. Perhaps the Muslim community or the Orthodox Jewish community in New York can teach the rest of us a lesson we better learn quick.

  6. You bring up some really interesting points, Evangeline. Do any of our Michigan readers have any insight into this? Will Gretchen Whitmer try to force this down the throats of Muslims or do they get traditional teaching to avoid a local jihad and protecting her own head.

  7. This is the once wonderful Catholic school I went to.
You can see that this was where they were at some eleven years ago.

We started homeschooling in the late eighties in NJ .
Both public and Catholic schools were beginning to teach perversion and the Catholic schools used the heretical ,"Christ Among Us". More recently I have heard from the DRE that Christopher West's scandalous Theology of the Bawdy was being pushed onto the CCD teachers. I was told by several good older teachers they just trashed it.
It looks like Virginia is just catching up.
    Sorry to read this.
