Is It Moral to Take the Covid Vaccine? Conflicting Voices = Confusion!

Falsehood always bears the stench of the evil one. Furthermore, it complicates and confuses. Truth, on the other hand, is as clear and transparent as a freshly washed pane of glass. Lucifer, the "light bearer," who made himself all darkness by his rebellion against God, now delights in spreading that darkness and tripping up souls with a cacophony of confusion.

Such is the situation we find ourselves in with the many conflicting voices expressing opinions about the morality of taking the Covid "vaccine." The first confusion is calling this gene therapy a "vaccine." It's not, as many medical professionals point out. But that's not the subject of this post.

The subject is a question: Is it moral to take the "vaccine?"

Many people follow the voices of "authority," both those in the medical establishment and in the Church. A man in a white coat or a roman collar must be telling the truth and have our best interests at heart. Right? And the pope himself has said it's irresponsible not to take the vaccine, that we have a moral obligation to do so. Well...let's listen to voices on both sides of the controversy. Here are some sources that say no, it is in fact, mortally sinful to take the vaccine:

Priest’s analysis of Vatican documents: It’s ‘mortally sinful to take or facilitate’ coronavirus vaccine

Before you go ballistic, read the article. It is possible under Church doctrine to take an abortion-tainted vaccine, but only if the situation meets certain moral criteria:
"1. There is no available morally untainted therapeutic intervention that neutralizes the proposed health threat.

"2. There must exist a proportionate cause for using an abortion tainted therapeutic intervention based on the risks involved.

"3. There must exist an actual grave threat to your health or that of others if you were to refrain from taking the proposed abortion-tainted therapeutic intervention.

"4. One must oppose the fact that the therapeutic intervention is abortion-tainted.

"In order for such an abortion-tainted vaccine to be morally acceptable, all four conditions must be met, and if even one of these criteria is missing, Fr. Elias confirms that use of such an abortion-tainted experimental biological agent is gravely sinful. Yet, he goes on to illustrate how not just one, but the first three criteria have not been met for the use of these gene-based vaccines."

Read the article. It clearly explains that these four criteria have NOT been met with the currently available "vaccines."

Fr. Elias presents his perspective which I find compelling, but there are other voices that take a different perspective including the pope telling people they have a moral obligation and ethical duty to take it, an opinion conflicting with the statement of his own CDF (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith).

Catholic World Report ran an article by Fr. Vincent Twomey justifying taking the vaccine, but his rationale is an example of begging the question since it takes, as a given, the disputed reasoning for accepting the "vaccine." The best thing about this unfortunate article is the comments from readers!

Opinion: Is taking the COVID-19 vaccine a moral duty?

Bishop Athanasius Schneider and Phil Lawler at Catholic Culture both agree with Fr. Elias. Joe Biden agrees with the pope.

Each of us has to make a decision about whether we are willing to accept a vaccine developed and/or tested by cannibalizing the innocent unborn. There may come a time when refusal brings serious persecution. If vaccine passports are required to travel or shop, what will those without them do?

Regardless, many of us will not be bullied or bribed into doing what we consider immoral despite the consequences. I've spent most of my adult life fighting to save innocent babies from abortion. I will not now take a "vaccine" developed or tested by cannibalizing those children. I don't judge the decision of anyone else whose conscience draws him to a different conclusion, but I cannot join in something I think is evil for the "sake of fellowship."

May God bless us all with all the gifts of the Holy Spirit beginning with wisdom as we struggle through this Valley of Tears.

  1. There is the moral objections but I would say that for many, it is not a sin especially with the pope and many shepherds saying it is okay, etc. But more information is coming out about the dangers--for example: miscarriages and not only on those taking the experimental gene therapy but non-vaxxed pregnant mothers having a miscarriage by being near those who take the injection due to something called 'shedding' by those vaxxed. And many menstrual irregularities also among the vaxxed and those who are around those who are. These things carry a much greater risk than the 99% survivable flu. The numbers given are lies as to deaths. It is not the plague.

  3. Government does not have the right to take over our medical care and tell us what to do with our bodies, which do not belong to them. On this point, Americans must resist and fight with everything they have. Do not relent. Do not agree to tyranny, be firm and loud in your conviction. If government owns your body, it is truly the end.
I believe Father's criteria to be moral and sensible.
For our part we do not at all trust the vaccine for all the reasons usually listed but also because it over-rides our own beautifully designed immune system, the one God gave us. Our bodies are never the same, ever. We become a GMO, a new product. Children should NEVER be given the jab. Their chances of dying from Covid are 1 in 700,000, but the long-term health risks are totally unknown. There are known risks to fertility because our bodies need our spike proteins to form sperm and placentas, even eggs. What happens to fertility when our bodies attack our own spike proteins?? Will these children be able to have children? The "scientists" don't know, but read how it worked out tragically for women in I believe, Kenya, when Bill Gates' "intervention" went terribly wrong.
