Fascinating Article at Breitbart about FOX Dumping Tucker Carlson and Dan Bongino -- They Weren't Fired!

Breitbart has a fascinating article that describes what may really be behind Murdoch's ouster of Tucker Carlson and Dan Bongino at FOX, and it rings true.

If Breitbart is right, Murdoch wants Carlson under contract until after the 2024 election to shut him up, although why Tucker couldn't comment as a private citizen is beyond me unless there's something specific in his contract.

Murdoch couldn't control his two outspoken and most popular hosts. They acted like free agents. And when you think you're God, control is everything! Check out the entire article, but the last three paragraphs I've copied below give an interesting summary from inside sources according to Breitbart.

Here are the last three paragraphs:

“It’s not about religion. It’s not about the MAGA stuff,” that source added. “It’s that the two of them did not listen to anybody. They did their own thing and their own shit, and Fox has a brand. The brand is ‘You will rep our company, shut the fuck up, and do what we tell you.’ That’s why they love Kilmeade and these people because that’s what they do.”

While the Murdochs clearly do not like Trump, a second person added, Trump’s strong performance in the polls for now means going against him would be akin to rocking the boat—and basically what the Carlson and Bongino moves signal is a move by the Murdochs away from anything edgy, and that includes slamming the brakes on any efforts to try to significantly shake up the 2024 GOP primary.

“I think this has less to do with Trump and DeSantis and more to do with people like Mitch McConnell and John Thune,” this source said. “The change in the programming will be that if there’s some sort of controversial bill moving on Capitol Hill, Tucker would often use his show to try to kill it. That sort of stuff won’t be going on anymore. I just think the network and the programming will be dumber, rah rah Republicans. Milquetoast content. It’s a reversion to what Fox was. The Tucker era at Fox was a deviation from the norm at Fox.”

What do you think? More promotion of the uniparty at FOX?

  1. That last sentence says it all. Tucker was a momentary voice of reason and truth (no matter the cost). We now return you to your regularly scheduled RINO FOX.

  3. I have a really bad feeling that we're about to see true freedom of the press rapidly wiped out - and that includes the internet. I'm already starting to see web search results offering up things that fit an agenda. We know from Church-approved prophecies that when the antichrist comes, he will deceive many, probably all but the Remnant Church. In order for that to happen, they have to control what we watch and listen to on the net, radio and TV. No fact checking. No second opinions. No dissent whatsoever. If you think covidism and the suppression of knowledge about ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine was insane, you aint seen nothing yet. My advice to talented bloggers is to get your best essays commercially printed now while you still can.

  4. Bongino (and Boyle) say that he was "not fired."

    Ummn huh.

Not in the literal sense. But when Fox said "We don't accept your terms" (or whatever, e.g., "We cannot afford your asking price," (etc.)) that is firing with a velvet glove.

  6. With BlackRock, buying 15% of Fox company, probably they impose their criteria. And ousting Carlson is part of the negotiation.

  7. It’s all theatre.
Tucker is part of the establishment and enjoys his lifestyle. He will not bite the hand that feeds him.
Just like Q-Anon, people watched Tucker and sank into their couches and recliners drinking their BudLight.
So what’s the difference now? They drink Coors or Miller (or Michelob Ultra) thinking that will make the difference!
Trump is also playing his part and very well, but he’s just another outlet to think someone out there will fight for us.
Keep the masses in their seats watching sports ball and eating the crap for food while yelling at their teevee and tweeting thinking their harsh attitude and new choice of beer is changing the world.
The game is clear. Replace the white culture, the only culture that knows how to rebel effectively and is most hard to manipulate so that one world government and one world religion can be erected.
They aren’t even going after the Novus Ordo Catholics as they are not a threat, that’s why the SSPX is targeted…
The reason Lefebvre named it the SSPX was the war on modernism…
Read Pius X “Lamentabili sane exitu”
Read Pius X “Pascendi Dominici gregis”
Take Pius X “The Oath Against Modernism”
This is the battle. They know it. Most Catholics ignored, forgotten, or are too deeply influenced by Vatican Ii to be unplugged.
Tucker and Bongino? They don’t look like any resistance to The real problems. They sell the blue pill.

  8. Bit of a cynic, TuNeCede, eh?

I certainly agree with you about the SSPX, but I don't think everybody in politics or media is part of the establishment.

And I'm troubled by your statement that "white culture [is] the only culture that knows how to rebel effectively and is most hard to manipulate so that one world government and one world religion can be erected."

Really? So Clarence Thomas, Candace Owens, Larry Elder, Thomas Sowell (RIP), Walter Williams (RIP), Alan Keyes, Ben Carson, Star Parker, etc. are/were all ineffective defenders of the culture?

I think what you say about Tucker Carlson and Dan Bongino is rash judgment. I agree we all need to do more than just cheer for them and change the channel away from FOX. What we do is a matter for prayer and discernment. Raging against the night is insufficient. Prayer, fasting, and engaging in the spiritual and corporal works of mercy is a good place to start.

Nope, but there's a good deal of lawyering that hasn't happened yet.
