We Knew Church Militant Would Implode: "It's a Sinking Ship!"

Employees fired, no severance pay, told to turn to the government. And where was the boss? He went into hiding and worked from home, so he wouldn't have to deal with the fallout from the firings which were devastating to his employees. What a cowardly response!

According to Christine Christlieb, Church Militant suffers from "not having enough accountability and transparency." They're "a sinking ship."

Can Church Militant come back? These ladies hope so. Maybe there's another Terry Carroll out there to play sugar daddy riding in on a white horse. Frankly, I can't feel that way. There have been too many lies and slanders perpetrated in CM's "investigations." [Check out our two CM pages on the sidebar.] But if they do come back, may they show more humility and charity in their work.

It's kind of ironic that part of their problem was the lawsuits, since they threatened many with legal action (including Susan and myself). No hard feelings, Michael and Christine. I pray for you and the CM staff almost every day. But I can't weep any crocodile tears for your situation. Maybe this is God's way of getting your attention over your war against the SSPX and the Traditional Latin Mass.

Meanwhile, readers, please pray for all the fired employees and their families as they face a difficult Easter season. May God fill them with hope and consolation and open doors to new employment. They were certainly shown little consideration by the powers that be at CM.

  1. The mass belongs to the Pope pwr Vatican I and he can do whatever he wants with it. If he wants to replace it with the Muslim mosque service even, he can because he's the Pope.

    1. A pope cannot replace the entire deposit of faith just because of his office. If you believe that, you have no faith in the Church but only in Peter—who denied Christ thrice.

    2. Well here’s a priest who really does worship the Pope. And I thought that was an old Protestant slander.

  2. Are you really a priest? I can't believe you said that. The pope has the duty of defending and passing on the faith as received from the Apostles. He is bound by Scripture and Sacred Tradition. He is not a despot with the power of a caliph. Which leads me to believe you either are not a priest or your formation was incredibly bad. I've read the documents of Vatican I and they don't say what you're saying.

    Infallibility is strictly limited.

  4. Employees weren't fired. They were laid off (fired employees can't collect unemployment). Sinking ship quote was from another employee who left. Apparently CM ended their evening news program. I didn't even know they had an evening news program (not that I would watch it anyway). Very ambitious for small non profit to run an evening news program. Didn't know Voris was supporting so many people--apparently still is supporting 40 other employees. These women both shout out Christine Niles as hiring and mentoring them. They also are very complimentary of Voris--loved the way he led evening prayer/scriptural rosary. Said he never fund-raised his resistance membership--unlike LifeSite News who fund raises every second of their existence.

The Bible says (letter of St. James) don't offer prayers when you can help yourself.

15 And if a brother or sister be naked, and want daily food: 16 And one of you say to them: Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; yet give them not those things that are necessary for the body, what shall it profit? 17 So faith also, if it have not works, is dead in itself.

You perceive that CM has a bias against tradition and attacks traditional groups unfairly, but technically Voris is correct: SSPX is in schism according to the definition of the word. Your own bishop calls SSPX schismatic. Hopefully God will not see that you and Susan have bias against CM, attacking them and painting facts concerning them in the worst light at every turn and consider you two and your hurtful, catty attacks against CM/C Niles as partly responsible for these 19 people getting laid off. I don't know why they threatened to sue you, but usually people sue because something is untrue and damaging to them. Voris' past never bothered you until you disagreed w/him about 'tradition.' Now you use it to try to destroy/discredit his operations. However, much of what you perceive as attacks on tradition, like the piece on the New Carmelite Monastery, many other people perceive as justified reporting. I personally am very glad CM did that piece--donors have a right to know and no one else covered the storhy. Guess I should send CM a donation. Happy Easter.

  6. The Bible says in Acts 5: 38-39

"38 And now, therefore, I say to you: Refrain from these men and let them alone. For if this council or this work be of men, it will come to nought: 39 But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found even to fight against God. And they consented to him."

Here we are 50+ years after Vatican II and Marcel Lefebvre; given the current state of the Church, world, etc which would you say is of man and which is of God?

The post conciliar church has empty seminaries, aging population and is closing parishes. Traditional groups have full seminaries and are opening parishes. My money (donations) are on Marcel Lefebrve.

With respect to CM, they did some outstanding work and made wonderful programs early on that helped the church and those returning to the church, myself included. The One True Faith was excellent. My guess if CM returns to building up the faithful instead of dividing the faithful the donors would return.

Holy Father Francis has not said that the SSPX is in schism. Neither has he attacked the SSPX. Nor has the Pope limited the SSPX in its priestly functions.

The Pope is Christ's Vicar on earth. Technically, perhaps it is you and Mr Voris who are in schism?

  8. Don’t you find it at least odd that the Vicar of Christ has renounced the title, regulating it to a historical artifact.

  9. "No, Pope Francis has not renounced the title "Vicar of Christ". The 2020 Annuario Pontificio lists it as a 'historical title', but Vatican press office director Matteo Bruni said 'there has been no suppression' of it." From the catholicherald.co.uk

It appears that your claim is a breach of union or an act schism with Holy Father Francis and the Roman Catholic Church.

    God bless
