Why Would Anyone Not Believe in the Real Presence? Just Look at How WYD Treated Our Blessed Lord!

It's interesting to read the comments from priests on Twitter justifying the abomination of placing the master of the universe in aplastic tub from the hardware store and plastic bowls from Walmart (or wherever). Oh...but think of the logistics! What else could they do? Yes, I saw priests saying that in comments!

One commenter suggested that the planners could have asked local artisans to design a fitting dwelling place for Jesus. How many artists would have leaped at the opportunity to honor Our Lord?

The pope got treated better than Jesus did. Look at that huge flower arrangement and the large comfortable chair for Pope Francis.

God forbid the barbarians planning World Youth Day would take a little effort to give God the honor and glory in the "meeting tent". Think of Moses traveling with the Israelites. How many left Egypt? Many scholars put the number at over a million. And yet when they stopped and erected the meeting tent God gave specific orders for its splendor. If the traveling Hebrews could do that in the desert, what is wrong with our modern planners with years to think about it putting Jesus not in a beautiful ark, but in a plastic bin? I find it appalling!

One gets the impression that Church leaders are working overtime to dilute the faith of the young. I wonder how many past attendees of World Youth Day no longer practice the faith. I know some. How about you?

Let us pray for our youth and always give them an example of treating Jesus, God with us, as if He is worthy of all our praise, honor, and glory.

  1. On another blog I enjoy, a commenter there pointed an important fact about the my lady dressed in white in the same (now famous) picture you used in your blog post above.

Kneeling in front of a plastic storage bin. My first thought is “how demoralized must a person’s Catholic Faith be to be willing to kneel and adore a plastic storage box”?

Then someone posted the lady in white’s FB response. Since she and her friends had gone viral (she said) she felt it necessary to provide some context to that photo. They had walked by that tent with the boxes and were as angered by it as anyone else. As they walked they decided they didn’t want to be just angry but to do something about it.

So they returned to “the scene of the crime”, knelt down and prayed a Rosary *as an act of reparation*! Those three kids are jointly kneeling as an act of reparation and sorrow for the obvious sacrilege in front of them.

    Amen!

I was convicted, after reading that, of my own personal pre-judgement. I didn’t have all the facts. Then, I was encouraged by the response of these Catholic youths. Not demoralized at all! These are being raised in this Conciliar Church of ours and still hold on to the true RC Faith through it all - as evidenced by their devotion to the majesty and holiness of Our Lord.

My point being - in the midst of the flaming disaster of Conciliarism, there is cause for hope. God is not mocked, and His light will prevail over the darkness. And that picture above … which I first took as an example of hopelessness … is actually a cause for optimism.

  2. What happened at WYD was fully intentional. Jorge Bergoglio hates Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and if anyone thinks I’m nuts, see if you can find a photo/video of him at a consecration or in front of a monstrance without a “I hate you” scowl on his face. I shudder to think what may have actually been inside those ugly, cheap, disgraceful plastic boxes but with that plant on top, it’s bringing back memories of the Pacamammy demon. If you know anyone who went to WYD, in your charity, urge them to get to confession asap. In all likelihood, they were exposed to demons there and may have unknowingly, bowed in adoration to them.

  3. Tabernacle comes from the Latin word for "tent":tabernaculum. God prescribed to Moses that He (God) would dwell in a tent within a tent, the Holy of Holies. The priests would operate just outside in the Holies and the people would assemble outside in a courtyard. The Christian Church followed the same instructions. They built a small tabernacle (tent) to be the Holy of Holies on the altar. The priest operated just outside in the Holies, and the people assembled outside in the nave--a more comfortable courtyard. The NO church disagrees with God and such has done away with the Holy of Holies, confining God to a plastic bowl. The people and priests comingle around the plastic bowl, which eliminates the Holies.

  4. Dan G:
In reference to what you wrote, I have had (like most people) some difficulty getting through some sections of the OT, in my past many readings through the Bible in a year. "Why do I need to know precise dimensions, and colors and materials etc"? So much detail which doesn't seem to connect with my ... how do they out it these days? ... "lived experience".

But this is God's Word, His Testament to mankind. So ...

I have discovered that over time what God is saying is that He is a God of precision, beauty, logical construct who gets the very best of everything that we have. Alternatively, what God's Chosen People are saying (the faithful messianic Jews) is that they are consumed with knowing and doing everything that God wants and then giving God the best of their time, talent, treasure.

The story of Uzzah has had a deep impact on me. When I first read it, it seemed grossly unfair (as it did to King David). Uzzah was the "driver of the cart" that carried the Ark of the Covenant back into Israel after it had been captured by the pagan Philistines. His "unconsecrated" hands reached out to steady the Ark, after his oxen shook the cart going over the threshold and the Ark almost fell. (II Sam 6:6-11) God struck down Uzzah then and there, and he with his unconsecrated hands died on the spot by the hand of God. Why?! David himself was angered at the seeming injustice.

I submit that what the Bible account doesn't say is why Uzzah was struck down - *perhaps* (and only perhaps) Uzzah's true sin was treating the Ark with contempt, or at least less than the full respect God's dwelling place deserved. And *perhaps* the Ark lost its balance because Uzzah did not give God his very best in his greatest test of his life. The unconsecrated hands touching God Himself was perhaps just the final act of the more comprehensive desecration.

Either way - I really appreciate the point made by Dan G, that the OT exists in many ways to prove to all mankind forever the worship and adoration that is due to God Almighty who deigns to Redeem us and to give Himself to us ... the least we can do is to give Him back *EVERYTHING*.

  5. My first thought about the girl/woman's FB response (cited in Aqua's comment) was that if the girl/woman is so holy that she was doing reparation, what was she doing at WYD in the first place?

I'm so cynical these days that it seems more, to me at least, that the woman had to cover up her adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in plastic tubs by later saying, "No, no, no. I was doing reparation."

Really? Again, I ask, what she was doing at WYD in the first place? She'll have to answer that question before I'll then think about whether or not she was doing what she said - reparation. The picture "speaks a thousand words" but no one knows her intention (adoration or reparation) because we cannot see into her mind.

I'm sick of being lied to. My first thought of anything from WYD or Francis or the Vatican these days is, "LOL. Right. You expect me to believe that?"

  6. Re: Uzzah touching the Ark from Haydock's commentary
Ver. 7. Rashness. Hebrew shal, means also "error, ignorance," &c. Syriac and Arabic better, "because he put forth his hand." (Kennicott) --- Oza had touched the ark uncovered, (Serarius) shewing too little confidence in God, as if he could not have hindered it from falling; (Rabbins) or perhaps he was the advisor of the ark's being placed upon a cart, instead of the Levites' shoulders. (Tirinus) --- It is not certain that he was a Levite; and the privilege belonged to the sons of Caath, who could claim this honour only after the ark had been folded up with three covers. Moreover, the priests seem to have been always selected to carry the ark, after they came into the promised land, ver. 3., and 1 Kings iv. 4., &c. It is hoped that the fault of Oza would be expiated by his sudden death, (Calmet) as his intention was laudable. (Tirinus) --- But God would teach his ministers with what caution they were to treat sacred things, (Calmet) and how exactly all his injunctions were to be observed. (Haydock)

  7. Susan Matthiessen - The young lady posted a response on FB, in her own words. It's over on NonVeniPacem in the comments - someone reposted it. So you don't to have to guess. She stated her reasons publically so she wouldn't be misunderstood - since so many were speculating and starting rumors. I read her post and was chastised about my own premature judgementalism - saw the picture, jumped to conclusions.

As far as I'm concerned, God sees the heart and judges the heart accordingly, and when a young lady (actually a small group of youth) immediately and viscerally responds (paraphrasing her words, not mine) in defense of the holiness of God - *ESPECIALLY* our youth these days under spiritual attack from so many different directions - I am greatly encouraged. "To whom much is given, much will be required", this youth's act of reparation under the circumstances of her likely NuChurch formation is to be applauded, imo.

  8. Sorry Aqua, but I'm still cynical. The girl has a tattoo. She's 22 and spent a weekend in Key West with her current boyfriend and another couple. So let's see...she goes to WYD, sees the tubs, gets mad, goes back and gets her picture taken and plasters it on the Internet saying she's doing reparation. If she is doing reparation the whole ordeal screams, "Look at me! I'm doing reparation!" Because why else, other than attention, would anyone put that on the Internet?

    1. Susan Matthiesen said: “Because why else, other than attention, would anyone put that on the Internet?”

Because apparently that photo went viral in Catholic press and FB and people just like me had … opinions. So she set the record straight.

      - quote from her FB page -

      “Savannah Dudzik (on Facebook, etc.):
The girl kneeling in the white dress? That’s me. There are so many opinions, theories, and accusations going on surrounding World Youth Day, but I wanted to give my two cents as I was there and experienced this circumstance that is now going viral first hand.
      So what happened? …”
      - end quote -
And then she goes on and explains what she saw, what she did, and what she is still doing.

Still doing? Yes, she is following up.

      - quote -
“I love our Catholic faith, I love our magisterium, but I want to hear something- I want to hear a statement from them: tell us, bishops and priests- tell us, the youth from across the world:
Why was Jesus exposed in such a manner?
*Disclaimer: I’ve given the bishops, world youth day organizers, and a few bishop secretaries more than a day to respond. I’ve gotten zero response on this- so I decided to make it more public. If you’ve heard a better explanation as to what happened, please let me know!”
      - end quote -

She is youth. I’ll tell you - she is far, far, far beyond where I was at her age, in my own youth. I was pursuing what they call “vainglories”, worldly baubles at that age. Religion was as far away from my thoughts and experience as it could possibly be. And she, like most youth these days, are getting precious little help from adults, society and Church authority. So, count me impressed and encouraged.

    2. Susan,
I am not, nor have ever been on FB. But after reading your comment I checked in on the young lady’s FB profile through my wife’s account. I scrolled down and simply did not see what you saw.

I couldn’t find the tattoo, for starters. What jumped out at me was how central to her young life pro-life issues are - it appears to be her primary job and/or vocation. References to women’s Bible study. Wholesome looking beaux. Traveling with girlfriends. And, most importantly, reading her thoughts and musings I was impressed with where she is coming from - especially given that she is most likely raised in NuChurch ethos (but I don’t know that). And also, as I said in my previous comment, I am impressed in comparison of where she is at this age in comparison to where I was at her age, her basic life choices compared to mine.

I don’t really know why I care about the topic except for the fact that I was brought up short in a different forum having pre-judged someone negatively and wrongly based on limited to no facts - my viewing of a photo. Then … once you get to know more about the person or the situation … it may be better, or at least different than I first presumed.

So, it’s a learning experience for me, a teaching moment, as they say.

  9. I do want to point out that almost immediately, on Twitter and on Facebook, trads jumped on the young lady for her backless dress.

    *sigh*

  10. I read what she said on her FB page about this as well as many of her other posts. Count me cynical....tattoo, weekending in Key West with her current boyfriend...I say "current" because she says she has been dating him "since 2023", pictures of herself modeling, etc. She seems to be infatuated with herself. Yes, she's pro-life as well she should be.

I don't care if the photo went viral, I'm not impressed by any of the Catholic media, especially Church Militant where it was also splashed across their website. I stopped believing what people say at face value since, like the attention getting Taylor Marshall running for President trick for money, people say things to manipulate the situation.

To me the photo is just one more picture of herself "doing things" at WYD, in Key West, at her birthday party, etc. In order to post pictures on FB, one of her friends had a camera and took pictures of her in the streets of Lisbon posing like she was a fashion model, at Fatima, sitting dramatically on steps at Fatima, and AT ADORATION.

Looks to me like she had someone take her picture at WYD "at Adoration" to put on her FB page, which she did. She put it there. At that time did she say anything about reparation? Or did she "correct the narrative" once people were horrified?

Since I'm cynical, I think the latter. We have only her word to believe or not believe. With the tattoo and spending the weekend with her boyfriend in Key West (they slept in separate rooms?...yeah, right) I won't believe a word out of her mouth.

  11. Aqua,
For the tattoo reference scroll down her FB page to July 11th when she's in Cancun, Mexico. Click "view more" to read the entire post. She says she got a tattoo saying "Why not".

For the Key West weekend scroll down to July 5th... "Southernmost Point, Key West". Click "see more". Also click on the picture that says 5+ to see all photos. They spent July 4th in Key West. It's 7 hours from Tampa to Key West (unless they flew). So let's just say they flew. So they flew to Key West, looked at the sunset (in the pictures) and flew back to Tampa all in the same day? Or did they all spend the night in Key West? Maybe the girls slept in one room and the guys in another? Who knows.

  12. Susan,
It's fine. These days, my tolerance levels are really low in some directions ... much higher in other directions. I don't see what you see, and I looked through it as much as I cared to. She's a nice young lady and God bless her. Tough world out there.

  13. She also said "Happy (American) Pride Month" on her July 1st FB post.

  14. Some wear rose colored glasses and mistake it for charity. I know I was clobbered here for saying "transgenders" should be labeled monsters instead of he/she.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I agree with you, Debbie, but a lot of it isn't rose-colored glasses. It's the refusal to face your children's disapproval. I think "clobbered" is a bit of an exaggeration. I just can't imagine calling one of my children or grandchildren who got mixed up in the transgender insanity "a monster." I remember some of the post aborted women I met when I was working at a pregnancy center. What they did was monstrous, but some of them had tragic stories. They were so sinned against I can only imagine the Blessed Mother reaching out with both arms to love and comfort them. If you read the stories of some of the de-transitioners, they are tragic, like the man whose grandmother dressed him up like a girl and made and evening gown for him when he was still in single digits. She told him not to tell his parents. If anyone was a monster it was her. And then there's poor Jazz Jennings whose mother began the abuse when he was only five years old. I just can't think of these poor folks as "monsters." Some of them, perhaps, like the drag queen story hour men twerking and grooming little ones. I think if God looked only at our sins He would see us all as monsters.

  16. Debbie,
Rose colored glasses? You have got to be kidding me.

And what would charity be, what would charity look like in this case, if I might ask? Making sure she personally knows about all her perceived sins from all those anonymous persons that don't know anything about her? Is it charity to see all those cool Catholic things she's doing and the cool family that loves her, and the beauty in life she admires, the love of the big grand adventure of life she aspires to ... and make sure she knows it's all not good enough?

    Simply amazing.

  17. I'll have to join the Cynical Club. Nobody impresses me anymore. Too much self-serving going around and there are posers of all kinds.
The point is our youth were exposed to days of Our Lord being treated poorly. I pity every one of those young people (and some seemed long in the tooth to be called youth) who were there for the debacle that is WYD. The sin of leaving Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in a plastic bin and an Ikea bowl, is on Francis and whoever organized the whole thing. They've had enough years to get this right, because it happened before. Job 1: Show the proper respect for Our Sovereign King. They know how to do it, they just don't want to do it and that's the tragic point. Same point we've talked about for ten years. It's just intolerable for anyone to say it was inadvertent. No, it's intentional. With their actions and words, our churchmen no longer believe in the Real Presence, they just don't. This is why polls show 70% of Catholic laity don't either, because it's been beat out of them by our pope, Cardinals, bishops, and priests.
They put the bins on a table, dirt floor, demonic Pachamama plant on top just for kicks.
At the altar, Catholics are instructed to genuflect or bow before crossing the altar, out of respect for our god, and here, the pope and his men stuck Him in bins and bowls and in a tent where people walked by Him as they laughed, yelled, ate goodies, etc.
This is not Catholicism. This is a different religion run by people who are not Catholic, so we should no longer expect Catholicism out of them. All we do is respond to outrages and apostasy. It's getting old, and Catholics should be tired of being gaslighted and told imbecilic things like "that was an oversight". It was no such thing. That potted plant was specifically brought to what was basically a fairground. Of all the places this potted plant could have ended up it ended up on top of the plastic bin that held Jesus Christ. What are the odds.

  18. Certainly the "mad scientists" labeling themselves as doctors who are doing these things to our kids/young adults are guilty of a much greater crime. No doubt. But as I stated before, if "conservative/Christian" media, the "Church", clergy would speak out and label such people as monsters or freaks it might deter some from doing this. That is my point. And yes, if I had a child/family member/friend who was contemplating or starting the process I would not hesitate to tell them they would become monsters. Drastic situations demands drastic measures. I believe the vast majority of kids doing this to themselves is not coming from their parents, but from the government indoctrination camps aka public schools. And hardly a peep is being said from "conservative" politicians and certainly not from the "Church".
I saw a video the other day of a "detransitioning" girl and she said she looks in the mirror and sees a monster. Would I call her a monster? Of course not . .she already knows.
