I read two articles recently that illustrated how corrupt government is from the smallest local community at the town, village, and county setting to the Leviathan monster at the federal level. Citizens have little say and are often deliberately kept out of the discussion. The articles actually offered no revelation to me. Let's face it, money and power rule the world under the world's prince, Satan. Those useful tools, money and power, pervert many a soul, especially those in politics who seem to have god-complexes.
You've no doubt heard the expression, "going to the devil" or the more recent version, "going to hell in a handbasket." The first originated in the Middle Ages when most people actually believed in the devil's existence, and the second was U.S. born in the early 20th century. Both expressions signify a rapidly deteriorating condition, actually ruinous, and both certainly apply to our own day and age. Yes, the U.S. is, indeed, going to the devil in a handbasket.
So let's take a look at the articles that spurred this rather cynical train of thought.
The first came from my own county in a little alternative paper called The Freedom Press. Reporter Gloria Carlineo, a member of the local school board, wrote an article, Why We Need The Freedom Press. Here's how it begins:
It is well-known that the mainstream media, and most of the press, have become little more than propaganda outlets for the Democrat Party. Here in Shenandoah County, the Northern Virginia Daily (NVDaily) is no exception. [That's an understatement. We cancelled that rag eons ago!]
The NVDaily is mostly know for its fluffy, lightweight pieces with the occasional reporter sometimes attempting to report actual, mostly local news. But, in my experience, it's clear that its editorial "leadership" strictly controls the information that it published to benefit one party (Democrats) over the other, particularly in controversial issues. Some would call this indoctrination. Others, censorship.
Carlineo goes on to describe how the paper refused her article on the disastrous situation in Springfield, OH in which she outlined the impact of 25,000 Haitians overwhelming the modest community of 50,000 (a little larger than Shenandoah County). Here's some of what was in the article that the irresponsible editor dismissed by saying, "We're no longer running commentaries on Haitian immigrants eating people's pets." What was actually in the article was this:
One of the biggest problems in Springfield has been the displacement of residents whose housing costs have skyrocketed as landlords make way for the Haitians, who have government money to pay for their rent. The price of goods has also gone up, not just from inflation, but from these newcomers who are given government-funded welfare cards (which Haitians call "Magic Cards") to buy anything they want. Crime has gone up at an "alarming" rate (quoting the police chief) and car accidents caused by the Haitians, which have claimed the lives of at least one child and a grandma in separate accidents, have become common fodder in the community....
What's more, the editor also dismissed all "first person" reporting...by independent journalists on YouTube, Sustack, X, and other mediums.... A couple of these reporters were conducting interviews when a Haitian driver crashed a car on a curb or a trash can. Another showed a Haitian relieving himself on the sidewalk in broad daylight, as if those streets were his public restroom.
As Carlineo points out, "The problems in Springfield, Ohio, could very well come to Shenandoah County if we are not "paying attention." And, sad to say, we are not immune from liberal lawmakers who do everything they can to subvert the will of the community.
Prior to Carlineo's election, the previous school board conspired with the Superintendent of schools to change the names of our local schools according to the woke agenda of liberals who delight in obliterating history and famous figures they don't like. Fortunately, the name changes were short lived and once again the local high school is Stonewall Jackson rather than Mountain View. But the way the changes were pushed through was deceitful and deliberately timed to prevent public input.
Reading Carlineo's article, The Truth Behind the 2020 Name Changes, illustrates how corrupt government works and testifies to our need to "pay attention." The county is now facing a lawsuit from the NAACP about the reversion of the schools to their original names which reflect local history. Like Big Brother in 1984, however, history must be wiped out and honorable men demonized and dropped down the memory hole.
Let's move on to the second article, The Ongoing Struggle to Preserve History by Chris Manion which appeared in The Wanderer's October 10th issue. Manion exposed the corrupt tactics of Leviathan to crush anyone who challenges their power and narrative. His article described how the famous radio priest, Fr. Charles Coughlin, was silenced.
At its height, 30 million listeners tuned into Fr. Coughlin's broadcasts every Sunday. His magazine, Social Justice, claimed more than a million faithful readers. I won't go into Coughlin's disagreement with FDR's New Deal (which he originally supported) and the bishops' abandonment of him - just the corrupt and disgusting way they silenced him. Here's how Manion describes it:
At that point [when it became clear that Coughlin wouldn't carry water for FDR and the majority of bishops who supported him], the Democrats' raw power came into play. The bishops and Roosevelt had both had enough. Using the vastly increased presidential war powers that Wilson had initiated a quarter centyry before, Roosevelt quietly threatened the National Association of Broadcasters until they barred widely - popular but "controversial" commentators -- meaning Coughlin and no one else -- from the airwaves.
Then employing the Sedition Act, Roosevelt ordered Postmaster General Frank Walker to revoke Coughlin's mailing permit, virtually shutting him down.
So Fr. Couglin was blocked from both the airwaves and the mails. Since there were virtually no other means of mass communication in that era, millions of Coughlin's readers and listeners were left high and dry.
Are we immune from this today? Look how the Democrat tyrants have used the FACE Act to impose draconian sentences on peaceful pro-lifers. Remember the efforts to silence Rush Limbaugh. Liberals were foaming at the mouth over his often hilarious ridicule of their positions. So what did they do? Urge the FCC to shut him down. They failed, but they keep trying to silence anyone with whom they disagree. They are still tracking down January 6ers with the zeal of Simon Legree. Do you feel deplorable and like garbage today?
We've seen how the drive-by media attempts to silence dissent with censorship and demonization. If Harris/Walz are elected today, we no doubt will see these efforts go into high gear, criminalizing those who use the wrong pronoun or quote the biblical text on sodomy. Can't happen? Observe Canada.
Remember how liberals spun the January 6th protest as an "insurrection" and downplayed the BLM/Antifa riots as "mostly peaceful." Look how they turned criminal George Floyd, who died of a fentanyl overdose, into a gold-plated hero while they vilified Nick Sandmann and Kyle Rittenhouse. Look how they've jailed with draconian sentences pro-life heroes who offer help mothers considering abortion.
We live in the times predicted by scripture when good will be called evil and evil will be called good. These are times that certainly try men's souls and call us to prayer. The rosary and the Eucharist are more important today than ever, the pillars that will keep our little barques safely anchored in the storms.
Despite the corruption of politicians and their efforts to subvert the truth, there is a higher government where justice is assured. Let's keep our eyes focused on that city on the hill where all is true, good, and beautiful. That is our true home.
May Jesus Christ be praised.

but the five minutes is quite relative to the faux election “process” we are currently subjected to. In minutes 25 to 30, Dr Coleman in 1994 clearly states the false security people get, voting even for a so called “conservative.” He states the process// decision was “already” made regardless of the acting/facade presented to the public.
P.S. The book by Solange Hertz, Utopia-Nowhere-Now Here, clearly shows the false “liberty” the democracy, we spread around the world was -is–evil. This book is one of her best.
Of course "democracy" is evil. Nothing that's that conceptually deceptive at it's core can be good. Peasants cannot rule, kings/leaders do that. The appearance of peasants voting is solely to stave off revolts against tyranny and to avoid all that pesky accountability (by saying that the faulty policies of the bad ruler were done by a million schlubs in suits who didn't know what they were doing or, ahem, "followed orders").
