Not again! More hopes dashed to the ground. One hoped when Robert Prevost XIV stepped out on the balcony of St. Peters as Pope Leo that we would experience a sea change in papal leadership. Yes, we knew he was a close protege of Francis, but hope springs eternal as they say. Many were optimistic because of the traditional vestments and change in tone. The prudent waited, giving Pope Leo the benefit of the doubt and praying. Yes praying for renewal of the Church and a return to sanity.
Well, the hope that Leo would lead the church in a new direction away from the confusion and ambiguity of the last papacy is rapidly being submerged in the fetid waters of reality. The Vatican swamp creatures apparently still run the show. LGBT groups will participate in the Jubilee year with a pilgrimage on September 6th which was listed in the calendar of events. The Vatican says that doesn't signify approval; anybody can join. [Go here.] Would they welcome a satanic group to participate?
In addition to very troubling appointments by the pope, this latest scandal reminds me of the people in the Old Testament who "rose up to play" (a euphemism for lust) while Moses was on the mountain receiving the ten commandments.
Whether the Vatican puts the LGBT groups on the official list or an unofficial calendar is irrelevant because for those groups it's all about appearances. It's a photo op and and an opportunity for media magnification and approval.
The groups being recognized embrace and celebrate intrinsic moral evils that cry to heaven for vengeance. What does it say about Vatican leaders and Pope Leo, as visible head of the church, to be welcoming groups that publicly dissent from the most fundamental of church teachings. Jesus ate with sinners to call them to repentance. He didn't celebrate their sins and allow them to use him to advance their agenda. What will their Mass celebrated by a bishop look like? I shudder to think of it.
What's with the ridiculous Jubilee logo? a Jubilee for kindergartners?
The groups coming to the Jubilee are already using their participation to claim the church is apologizing for past mistakes. Jules Gomes, author of the article linked above wrote this:
The Jubilee 2025 website explains that the Holy Door in designated basilicas “is the most powerful sign of the Jubilee” and “passing through the Holy Door expresses the decision to follow and be guided by Jesus, who is the Good Shepherd.”
In Catholic understanding, pilgrims who pass through the Holy Door do so with repentant hearts and a genuine desire to change their lives. Conservative Catholics have objected to the weaponization of the Holy Door symbolism by LGBT+ groups that intend to subvert its meaning by calling upon the Church instead to repent for its biblical position on homosexuality.
The LGBT groups that pass through the Holy Door have no intention of urging their members to repent or change their lives. Their goal is to change the Church. We've seen that goal many times before. Slaves of lust are never happy simply committing their sins; they demand approval. And what do they want approved? Look at photos from pride events.
Folks parade around with their rainbow flags and engage in public displays of nudity, simulated sex acts, and sado-masochism. They may restrain themselves in Rome from the kind of behavior flaunted at pride events around the world, but what they stand for is no secret. That these groups are allowed to participate is scandalous. Not only that, but allowing this further undermines the authority of the pope and magisterium. Who can take seriously the hierarchy's claim to represent the teachings of Christ when they essentially enable intrinsic evils? But at least the pope has cast out the Pachamama idol. My mom used to urge us kids to be thankful for small favors. So thank you Pope Leo. Can you also cast out the demon bishops, especially the French bishop, Guy de Kerimel, who recently appointed a convictedchild rapist as diocesan chancellor. [Source]
Fr. Gerald Murray discussed the Pachamama issue on a recent Papal Posse show with Raymond Arroyo. You can listen to the discussion at the beginning of the video. Then go to Fr. Murray's commentary about the LGBT groups and the Jubilee year starting at 28:30 in the video below.
Meanwhile, keep praying. God listens. Pray through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, Mediatrix of all Graces. She listens. Pray through the intercession of St. Joseph, Pillar of the Family. He listens. And stay close to your guardian angel, a special friend who is always listening and prepared to help.
Of course, Satan is pleased by this behavior but it would be a bonus if it causes faithful Catholics to turn away from the Church either by no longer practicing their faith or by separating themselves from Christ's Church and believing they are maintaining the real Church.
The answer to your question "jubilee for kindergarners" is - yes. Observe..https://restore-dc-catholicism.blogspot.com/2022/07/holy-year-2025-of-teletubbies.html
Since you are concerned about prosecutors forcing plea deals on defendants and also that members of the judiciary are unconstitutionally blocking Trump's agenda, wonder if you are following this story: " Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement that ICE had arrested Abrego Garcia and was "processing him for deportation." DHS said he is "being processed for removal to Uganda." The U.S. reached an agreement with Uganda to accept some deportees last week. "President Trump is not going to allow this illegal alien, who is an MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator to terrorize American citizens any longer," Noem said....In a legal filing over the weekend, Abrego Garcia's lawyers said he was offered a plea deal that included deportation to Costa Rica. His attorneys said they then received a notice of his possible deportation to Uganda. Sandoval-Moshenberg clarified Monday that Abrego Garcia had stated that he was willing to accept refugee status in Costa Rica. "The fact that they're holding Costa Rica as a carrot and using Uganda as a stick to try to coerce him to plead guilty to a crime is such clear evidence that they're weaponizing the immigration system in a manner that is completely unconstitutional," Sandoval-Moshenberg said Monday." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kilmar-abrego-garcia-ice-custody-deportation/
"In a statement on Thursday, Uganda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Kampala had agreed for Washington to send over third-country nationals who face deportation from the US, but are unwilling to return to their home countries. The ministry said that the agreement was made under certain conditions...Uganda will NOT accept people with criminal records or unaccompanied minors and that it “prefers” that Africans be transferred as part of the deal." https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2025/8/23/what-will-uganda-gain-from-accepting-us-deportees
I guess right now Garcia has no criminal record if he's going to be deported to Uganda... or Trump is lying to Uganda. In US you are innocent until proven guilty, but Noem can just announce "HE IS MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator" terrorizing Americans.
Your comment has nothing to do with this post. It is probably the last I will publish by you. Despite being anonymous you have a style that's pretty unmistakable.
Just a few observations. The legal expression is "presumed" innocent, not innocent until proven guilty. The person charged may not be innocent at all, but guilt has to be proved under our system of justice.
In Garcia's case, you are wrong. He is a criminal illegal alien. The United States has an absolute right to deport him without proving one other crime against him. Why should the taxpayers have to pay for a trial, possibly a public defender, etc.? If he entered the country illegally, he deserves deportation. End of story.
One suspects that the decision to include these characters was made by a low-level Vatican flunky, and was never run past Leo XIV for approval, and---also likely--the decision was made before he took the reins.
That sort of fiddling was a hallmark of the first Trump administration, too. Same problem(s).
