A West Virginia state senator, Chris Rose, is floating a proposal to invite 27 Virginia counties and several from Maryland to secede. I am so ready to join the great state of West Virginia! Now that would be a marriage made in heaven: the lovers of Virginia embracing the freedom-loving patriots of West Virginia! Not only that, my husband is a West Virginia boy and would love to call his birthplace home once again. Bring it on!
There would be a poetic element to the change as well. West Virginia seceded from Virginia during the Civil War. Now western Virginia can follow their lead and join the mountaineers waving good-bye to the Northern Virginia morally debased progressives. I wouldn't even mind the door hitting me as I exited, since I'm sure the Beltway liberals would rejoice to lose the rural deplorables. On the other hand, they want to tax us so maybe they'd fight tooth and claw to keep their hands in our pockets.
As far as I'm concerned, though, I'd love to say, "Sayonara, bad Catholic Senator Tim Kaine and abortion extremist Senator Mark Warner." You never represented me! "Sayonara, Angela Spanberger, Ghazala Hashmi, and murder loving Jay Jones." I'll gladly divorce you all and let Virginia become even more what it is now -- California on the Potomac.
According to Rose, his resolution inviting 27 Virginia counties to join his state is no joke and I'm all for it. I'll be contacting his office to see what Virginians can do to boost the move and give it a real chance of happening. Unlikely, yes, but all things are possible with God.
Laugh your head off, Tim Kaine. Some of us don't like being chained like slaves to a state where its top legislators champion child killing, child mutilation, the destruction of the environment with wind turbines and solar farms, attacks on parental rights, high taxation to finance evil projects, draconian rules for our struggling farmers, etc. I am so ready to shake the dust off my feet and leave this cold-hearted blue state and embrace the WV fire of God, motherhood, and apple pie! C'mon, western Virginia, let's roll!
Oh, and by the way, this isn't the only secessionist movement in the country. The patriots of eastern Oregon want to exit that lunatic state and join the great state of Idaho. [Source] May other states follow suit and I pray for one to be successful to open up the floodgates.
