And Then There's Starbucks...

...flying the "gay pride" flag at corporate headquarters. Are you still drinking their foul, overpriced burnt-tasting coffee?

What would they say if we flew a "straight pride" flag? Really, Russia has developed one. Click the "read more" to see it. The flag was developed by the party of Putin. What a strange world we live in today when a democratic republic has become a totalitarian regime of political correctness and a former Communist country stands for the family. Weird!
Frankly, I'm not "proud" of being straight. That seems silly to me. It's something I am. It's the way God made me. It's the truth, a given. What is there to be proud about? Being straight means being a woman who is sexually attracted to men, not other women; or a man being sexually attracted to women, not other men. "God made them male and female.... For this reason a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife. And the two become one flesh." It's as simple as that, and it's true. All the rest is make-believe and playing house.

Oh, and by the way, I'm attracted to women all right -- as friends. I have a few whom I call "sisters of the heart." In some cases the spiritual connection between us is closer than the connection of blood relatives. That's what God intends for same-sex relationships -- spiritual intimacy rising out of deep friendship, not physical intimacy rising out of lust and sexual confusion.

Let's pray for those who are sexually confused and try to "fix" it by homosexual fornication or mutilating their bodies. It's not the answer as many have found. And it's a lie besides!

And that, friends, makes it even more important to treat them with kindness and compassion when they cross our paths. Many conversions have come about through the kindness of Christians!

  2. Above and beyond Starbuck's despicable culture, their coffee is awful. They use inferior (cheap) coffee beans but the gross taste of the coffee is often hidden by all the additions. So there's no earthly reason to support this left wing company. There are plenty of other coffee shops around with far superior coffee and those shops won't try to brainwash their customers.

  3. Thanks so much for your comment, Michele. Like Unknown says, Starbucks is awful. You'd be better off getting a specialty coffee at Sheetz!

  4. I guess in this day and age in the ol' U S of A, being proud of being normal is counter-cultural.

  5. From California,

I blame a lot of this on the time when women sports writers and journalists insisted on going into men's sports locker rooms. Now those of us who did not agree with the decision have to deal with all this. The sports writers (both male and female) should have been kept out of the locker rooms -- period. Who wants their privacy invaded like that? I imagine even the athletes were tired of having to answer questions when they were trying to attend to personal needs.

  6. From California,

Mary Anne, I meant my post today, May 25, at 5:20 pm to go on one of your posts about the bathroom issues. Sorry for the confusion.
