Most of us can't embrace the hermits' lifestyle, especially young people. Despair and depression endanger them more than adults because they live so very much in the present. What's happening now is what things will always be. Pray for families, especially those stressed by lost jobs and financial disaster. The unintended effects of the lockdown are dangerous and real! Lord Jesus, give hope to the hopeless and despairing today. Mary, protect them and wrap them in the folds of your mantle.
Maybe young people are looking for something infinitely greater than anything this world can give them. Maybe they could become defenders of God’s Catholic Priest Crucified. But first, they would have to believe in him.

after reading on CathInfo about the boys in Post Falls who were abused by the SSPX camp counselor over a lengthy time and even though he went to jail were sodomizing each other and identifying to their parents as "homosexuals" , my heart was breaking for these families.
The horror was that the SSPX priest knew and remained silent.
Voris did not report on this but like he said ......What if it was your child or grandchild?
There's a lot of general he said/she said stuff in the article. Sloniker was thrown out of the SSPX seminary for being mentally unstable. The article gave no details about his involvement with the camp so it's hard to evaluate that. I read the details which seem to indicate that the abuse occurred mostly in his truck and on road trips. Any child abuse is horrible, but there is very little indication from this particular article to indicate the SSPX was guilty or responsible. Nor is there anything about the kids sodomizing each other. Of course, everything you allege is possible but you haven't made the case by presenting this one article as proof. If you want to make serious allegations then follow the rule of law and offer substantial proof. People have a right to their good names and I've seen more than one innocent person pilloried with slanderous and false allegations -- even false allegations of child abuse.

When you read the posts from people in Post Falls they say there is no trucking company that works for sspx. He may have abused while working on his truck route but he knew the boys from being an SSPX counselor.

Maryanne this also happened in our Catholic home school group. One poor soul was abused at a Boy Scout Camp. He visited another large family and unbeknown till later , it was discovered he molested one of their younger boys.

Maryann you would have to have done much more reading to understand the crimes were committed y this mentally ill man primarily on his time and as a camp counselor. I recall the article you read also which spoke of an incident in his truck. Personally I do not want to bother looking it all up again to "prove my case" because thank God it is not my case .

I stopped trusting them awhile ago because they seem almost gleeful about the evil they uncover and chortle about it, which, in my opinion, puts them in the same camp as the secularists at CNN and MSNBC. "Love is not happy with evil but rejoices in the truth."
Perhaps the CMtv personnel are responding in what appears to be joy with more like a "we told you so" attitude after they were so vehemently attacked before for reporting on the SSPX ? I know personally that many of the adherents are over the top defensive of LeFebvre and their priests .I also know when St Mary's college posted the relics that Fr angles SSPX left to them from his personal collection on the "Angelus", I forwarded the same to Fr Belisarius. He was aghast as was I at the obvious frauds
ReplyDeleteFr Angles and the Society were presenting as genuine relics and asked me to contact the family of St Thomas More , providing me with their address in the UK. I did as Fr asked and the list vaporized from the Internet. The Saint's descendants wrote me a note of thanks as they lovingly retain their ancestor's skull and not the SSPX.
We spent a brief time going to a Society chapel but exited after listening to homilies praising Adolf Hitler as the "Savior of Catholic Art."
Williamson was a problem with the pro-Nazi and holocaust denial stuff. He was expelled and started his own church. I guess he's the Martin Luther of the SSPX. I actually don't know that much about the Society, but I've been reading about Archbishop Lefebvre and he seems to me to have been a very holy man.

Fr Angles , canon lawyer for Bishop Fellay is being investigated for abuse according to CMtv. griends of ours went to S Mary's while he was there and reported he bragged about his parents being close to Hitler's Filmographer and said they purchased Hitler's mercedes at auction ( an obvious lie). They basically endorsed what was said in this investigation by Thomas Case.

Thanks for the advice. I proceed with caution on everything these days. But the SSPX is NOT schismatic. They may have been at one point, but as Fr. Z said last year, his former position a decade ago is now moot. They are not in schism.
