Could those who blindly follow Muhammad as their heaven-sent prophet and leader and adhere to Islam as the one divinely revealed religion and the only true way to salvation possibly be deceived by Satan?

City Journal, Spring 2004, published an article by Theodore Dalrymple, titled When Islam Breaks Down. To be sure, Muslims believe that the Koran is of divine origin, eternal and co-existing in the very essence of Allah and is his sacred and direct word dictated in Arabic by the Angel Gabriel to Muhammad, containing Islamic revelations and doctrine. They believe that through Muhammad’s visions of the Archangel Gabriel, the Koran was revealed by installments, some at Mecca and some at Medina, over the span of twenty-three years. As the words flowed from Gabriel to the inspired lips of the Prophet Muhammad, they were written down upon palm leaves, leather or wood by his secretaries Zeid and Abdullah.

Hey, men dressed up as women are no problemo. No women will be endangered by their predatory behavior. Nah! Transgenderism is normal, don't you know? And if you dare to question it, expect to be censored and labeled hateful! Like Autumn Bennett whose Facebook page was removed by the politcally correct censors. Read this article at the Daily Wire and especially note the vicious comments and pornography she described receiving. I've experienced that first hand myself. I completely agree with her statement in the article saying:

"I am just completely aghast and furious at the vitriol that is so prevalent within the trans agenda," Bennett told The Daily Wire. "This has hardly anything to do with bathrooms, it is completely ridiculous. This has everything to do with brute force bully tactics, and validation of their own subjective reality at the expense of safety and liberty."

Verbal and physical assaults, rape, violence all targeting women by "transgender" men...what will it take to wake people up?

Here's one thing you can do. Protest to Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg and demand that Autumn Bennett's page be restored. Censoring those who simply state the plain truth is a tactic of liberals who only want their own voices to be heard. Let's not give them a monopoly on Facebook!

Mother Angelica Goes Home on Easter Sunday

How I used to love to watch Mother Angelica Live. Seeing and hearing that dear, feisty nun speak the truth with boldness reminded me of the description of Jesus that "He spoke with authority." When she took on Cardinal Mahony and other liberals in the Church, I cheered. And to listen to her kind advice to callers who were in pain or searching was a testimony to her humility and charity. There was a twinkle in her eye and a humble little laugh that was often deprecatingly aimed at herself. What a witness!

May God welcome her home with a fanfare. She wanted to live as long as possible:

Did You Ever Wonder Why It's Called Spy Wednesday?

For exactly the reason it sounds -- Judas, the spy in their midst, goes to the pharisees to betray his Master. Interesting, isn't it that the apparent "last straw" for Judas is the woman anointing Jesus at the home of Simon the leper. Was he disgusted at Jesus allowing a woman "like that" to touch him? The three big motivators for evil seem to be money, power, and sex. Were they all at work in Judas? It's an interesting reflection I think, because these are the same big motivators that effect many of our own sins.

Monday of Holy Week and Five Reasons We Didn't Make it to Mass

 Larry and I go to daily Mass almost every day of the year. When we were in Florida, the available church only offered Mass on Monday and Tuesday, but we were blessed to be there in Lent because they offered Mass and stations on Friday evening. Here at home we have Mass every day and would normally have been there this morning, but I couldn't face getting five grandkids out of bed early after staying up too late (It's hard to settle them when they see their cousins) and corralling them in time to make Mass. So we had a big breakfast instead and chatted around the table. They love our "big breakfasts" and always ask for them when they visit. We think we'll start a pool to guess how many (waffles, pieces of french toast, or pancakes) Ryan can eat. I also made an entire pound of bacon this morning so we wouldn't have an argument over who gets the last piece on the plate.

Pain is a great motivator! For months I have been dealing with pretty significant hip pain. Physical therapy hardly touches it. I was presuming my hip problem was related to other problems I'm having connected to my Myasthenia Gravis, but the neurologist recommended an x-ray and I have arthritis in that hip. Hmm...I recall a fall off a horse and a fall off a skate board that both involved my right side. Guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I decided to do a little research on natural treatments for arthritis. I'm in no hurry to have a hip replacement. Diet affects everything so I googled "diet remedy for arthritis." Now, I doubt diet can undo arthritis damage, but I'm convinced that everything can be helped by making healthy food choices. Read more....

I've always loved St. Patrick's Breastplate, but it seems I've been under a false impression. In the wee hours of the morning at adoration, I wanted to say the prayer so I looked it up on my phone. Lo and behold, I found that what I thought was the entire prayer is only the tail end of a much longer piece that resembles a litany.

On one website, I read that St. Patrick imitated the form of a druid incantation which reminds me of the way the Church has always taken pagan practices and transformed them.

2) Because of the "evolution" of the dogma, "Outside the Church there is no salvation," which has essentially been dumped since Vatican II, the Church has lost its missionary zeal. In Pope Benedict's words, “any motivation for a future missionary commitment was removed.” (Amen to that. I'm okay; you're okay; we're all okay!)

I cried when I read this. How many people would have leaped at the chance to love those little ones!

What particularly horrifies me about the videos coming from the Center for Medical Progress is that almost exclusively, the killers and their enablers depicted are women. Think about that. This is the sex God made to be mothers: to nurture, to hug, to sing lullabies, to cradle in arms and rock, to tell stories, to stroke fevered brows, to love unconditionally.

So, needless to say, I was a little taken aback to see the Knights of Columbus were going to partner with the media site and keep it in business. According to the Boston Business Journal:

The Catholic Pulse [the K of C's news site] article announcing the partnership said that “[t]he Knights will respect the editorial freedom of Crux, trusting it to present news and commentary in a way that serves the good of the Church.” Allen said he is hopeful the switch from a secular publisher to a Catholic organization will not threaten the site’s editorial independence. “That is very much part of our deal,” he said. “As with anything else, we’re going to have to see how it works out.”

At one church in Hampton Roads, VA my husband and I didn't go to Communion because we both doubted the validity of the Mass and we weren't sure how we could receive the ginger-bread looking cubes on the tongue.

Looking carefully, what do we see?

Here are pictures of 2 priests. One priest is orthodox, wise beyond words, generous, loving and kind with God in his every thought. The other priest is liberal, arrogant and worldly and built a hideous looking new parish church.

What do we see in the faces of these two priests? 

Do their souls shine through their human faces declaring to all who look upon them their love of God? One does, and one seems not to as much. 

What do we see in their eyes which is the window to their souls? Peace or hubris?

Which one would we choose for Confession or spiritual advice?

One seems worn with the cares of his people but peaceful and deeply happy. The other looks as if he wants to go for a beer.

Both just celebrated their Golden Jubilee.

Europe, Globalization and the Coming of the Universal Caliphate by Giselle Littman whose pen name is Bat Ye'or  meaning Daughter of the Nile (of Jewish descent, she was born in Cairo but her family fled from Islamic persecution to Britain in 1957) is prerequisite reading for anyone wanting to understand the current migration of hundreds of thousands of Muslims (most of them young unmarried males) to Europe thereby causing the loss of Christian culture.
