My husband and I will go to Front Royal today for the 12:30 Tridentine Mass. My heart leaps up to even think of it! The reverence is palpable and I rejoice to see all the families with many young children and the numerous altar boys assisting the priest.

Now let's take a hard look at Gregory and the insanity of sending him to follow disgraced Cardinals McCarrick and Wuerl.

Mueller was careful to ensure the perpetuation of slander against Trump. When there is no evidence whatsoever to prove an allegation, there is indeed “insufficient” evidence.

Zero evidence is indeed “insufficient” to prove a case, but the word “insufficient” implies that some real evidence does exist. In Trump’s case, there was no “evidence” aside from the set of unsubstantiated allegations composed for the Steele Dossier, at the behest of Hillary Clinton.

Well, it appears the good doc not only happily violates the commandment "Thou shalt not murder," but also enjoys the capital sin of lust. So now the pro-aborts are throwing the man under the bus. Date-raping predators aren't such a good advertisement for the pro-aborts. But Parker with his predatory behavior is no anomaly in the abortion industry. 

Another Lawsuit Filed against Former Bishop Bransfield: for Sexual Abuse of Adolescents and Young Adults

Wheeling has become a real flash point in the sex abuse saga. The Bransfield scandal shows big time that it ain't over, and that a primary problem is the bishops. Remember that Bransfield was a crony of McCarrick. He is also good buddies with Wuerl. Anyone who thinks this is over without a lot more bishops being exposed (no pun intended) is dreaming.

The latest allegations against Bransfield aren't decades old. They occurred within the past few years. Like McCarrick, Bransfield had a reputation for being an active homosexual who harassed seminarians. When he was the administrator for the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. his lavish parties were the talk of the town. Once he arrived in Wheeling he enjoyed every luxury money could buy spending like a drunken sailor on his own personal comfort.

I attended mass on Sunday at St. Catherine’s of Sienna in Great Falls, VA.  It isn’t far from where I live and when I go there, I not only get to enjoy the Latin mass, but also a great sermon from Fr. Jerry Pokorsky who never fails to deliver a good dose of inspiration and truth.  I went this week to see for myself their new Communion Rail, having read his most recent article posted on “The Catholic Thing” website titled, “The Communion Rail and Complementarity.” I recognized his own church from the photo in the article and knew the rail in the picture was there waiting for me to experience firsthand... 

Diocese of Wheeling's Fr. Pat Wash -- Shining the Light of Truth on a Dark Scandal!

CORRECTION: According to a friend in the Diocese of Wheeling who called me this morning, Bishop Schmitt did not return Fr. Wash to active ministry. He removed him from the active priesthood after the arrest. Whether he was suspended or just given a "get out of Dodge" order, I don't know. Obviously he wasn't laicized to prevent him ever returning to active ministry. Did Schmitt report him to higher ups including the Apostolic Nuncio? I don't know. Sending him for a counseling degree may have been an "act of charity" according to my friend, so Wash could make a living outside the priesthood. (Not so charitable for the young men he might be counseling.) Garbage collector or car mechanic would have been better with fewer temptations. How many garbage collectors and mechanics are alone with their "clients?"

The poor Bride of Christ continues to suffer at the hands of abusive men. But the spirit is moving to clean up the filth of corruption through the secular hands of the state. The civil government isn't necessarily a friend of the Church, but if you read the Old Testament, you realize that God often used strange instruments to chastise his people. Attorney Generals in many states are now putting the Church under a microscope and that is not necessarily a bad thing. Hey, even a doctor with mixed motives can save your life in an emergency.

Conversion is a big word in the Christian life. Jesus promises, "I tell you that...there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." (Luke 15:7) But don't you suppose, in contrast, that all hell chortles and snickers over one righteous person who turns away from God, hardens his heart and embraces evil? The demons must salivate like Screwtape thinking of feeding on that soul.

Today I have two stories: one of an abortionist who turned away from his evil deeds after coming face to face with the absolute horror of it. And a second of a doctor who embraced the murder of the innocent and now murders up to 45 babies a day while claiming to be a Christian. That is a man who has truly embraced "doublethink" where he twists his mind and his conscience so that he can, at one and the same time, embrace evil while claiming it's good. That is fairly good definition of the demonic mind.

We haven't heard much from Nabi in the past few months. But this morning I received an email with a linked article announcing that the West Virginia Attorney General's office has filed suit against the Diocese of Wheeling and former Bishop Michael Bransfield. Here's what's being reported by WOWK TV in Charleston, WV:

The suit alleges the diocese and the bishop knowingly employed pedophiles and failed to conduct adequate background checks for those working at schools and camps operated by the diocese, and without disclosing the inherent danger to parents who used those services for their children.

Good News for a Change! Bishop Athanasius Schneider Launches Website to Teach the Faith

If you are younger that about 60 you spent most of your life getting watered down teaching about the Catholic faith. Even if you're older than 60 you haven't heard much doctrine from the pulpit unless you live in a parish with a truly dedicated and faith-filled pastor who takes his obligation to teach seriously.

Is it any wonder that so many Catholics don't believe in the Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist or fall for lies in the name of compassion including those that deny reality itself!

Well, folks, it's time to grow up! No matter how bad your religious education experience, you bear responsibility to instruct the ignorant, a spiritual work of mercy. And that instruction begins with yourself. With a teacher like Bishop Schneider, you have no excuse not to begin that instruction right now today! Isn't Lent the ideal time?

Every time you buy a box of Girl Scout cookies, most of the money goes to the national and district organizations which support a whole range of leftist positions including, not only abortion but,  LGBTQ ideology and comprehensive (i.e., contraceptive) sex education. One More Reason to Thank God for Donald Trump

The never-Trumpers include a fellow I used to rescue with at abortion mills back in the 1970s. He continues to pound the president and actually had the chutzpa to say Hillary Clinton was the "pro-life candidate." To this day he opposes just about everything that has a Trump connection.

Most of the other rescuers I know and went to jail with are as baffled as I am and just shake their heads. I can't help wondering if the babies in the womb are real to him or whether abortion was simply a political argument. He once tried to make the case that putting crazy glue in the locks of abortion facilities was "violent." It's a hard argument to win since an abortion mill has no legitimate reason to exist and to prevent the staff and women from entering has real potential to save lives. It's a way of "blocking the door" which is what we did with our bodies, using glue instead of people.

My colleague at Restore D.C. Catholicism has a "must-read" post about the situation in Kansas of a same sex couple trying to enroll the child in their care at a Catholic school in Prairie Village. She points out the obvious fact that Catholic teaching is totally incompatible with the living situation of the child. Why would loving "parents" do this? How can it NOT put the child in a situation of cognitive dissonance?

Two Banned Bishops "Sent to Coventry!" Not Nearly Enough!

Archbishop William Lori, Administrator of the Wheeling-Charleston Diocese released a letter yesterday permanently banning two bishops from ministry there and in his home diocese of Baltimore. Bishop Michael Bransfield, former bishop of the West Virginia diocese and Bishop Gordon Bennett, S. J., former auxiliary bishop of Baltimore are accused of sexually harassing adults. Bransfield also stands accused of financial improprieties. (No surprise! He spent buckets of money in Wheeling on his own personal comforts with expensive renovations to his residence, a personal chef, wining and dining at fine restaurants, etc.)

Sunday Meditation: Reverence and the Traditional Latin Mass

Today, for the first time since about 1965, I attended a high Tridentine Mass. The church echoed with the “birdsong” of babies. Everywhere I looked little girls and teenagers knelt with bowed heads like modest little brides. Yes, many white-haired geriatrics like yours truly knelt among them, but we represented the minority. What a scenario. It brought tears to my eyes and a leap to my heart...not to mention a longing. How I wish I could occupy a little cell next door and make this my parish home. Instead, I will return to my Novus Ordo parish tomorrow where Sunday Mass will end with a social hall throng of laughing, chatting parishioners oblivious of the presence of the Lord of the Universe.

When Bishops Usurp the Laity’s Role: Now THAT is Clericalism!

Editor’s Comment: One of my objections to the Bishops Lenten Appeal is that it supports the Virginia Catholic Conference, a lobby group that continuously takes “Catholic positions” on prudential moral issues. Is opposition to uranium mining really an issue that the bishops’ have any expertise on AT ALL? Of course not! But they tell Virginia Catholics to come along to Richmond and push their questionable opinions on climate change, immigration, the death penalty, and a whole host of other prudential issues. Phil Lawler’s article raises the same questions I have often posed about the role of our bishops which is to teach, govern, and sanctify. Ironically, while sticking their noses in all sorts of things that are NOT their business, many bishops irresponsibly neglect what IS their business. If your bishops have a lobby group, there is something wrong! Ironically, many of the lay-run lobby groups defend intrinsic moral issues that the bishops treat with a ho-hum or even an enabling wink. It all started with a survey last Fall asking students at Rider University in Mercer Country, NJ what food vendor they would like to see on campus. Among the choices was Chik-fil-A. (Multiple "choice" test, right?) The students'  chose the popular chicken franchise.

WRONG ANSWER!

The university sent out a second survey with Chik-fil-A purged. (The head-shaker is why the politically correct administration included them in the first place. But, hey, maybe they wanted to see how much "thought control" they had to exercise to bring their students into line with the world of Big Brother.) A cover letter sent out with the second survey "explained" their reason for dissing the students' choice. (Can anyone seriously believe Rider isn't censoring "food for the brain" choices as well?) Here's what the cover letter said:

Complicit Clergy has an article titled Sorry Boys, We are WAY Past the Point of Press Releases. As a member of the Diocese of Arlington, I'm angry! When Trump tried to implement a ban on people from terrorist countries threatening our security, Bishop Burbidge didn't just issue a press release. He went out to Dulles Airport to support the protestors many of whom carried anti-Trump signs showing exactly where they fall on the political spectrum.

That Law, called the Mosaic Law, the Natural Law, or moral law is written upon the human heart and is the primal religion given to mankind by God. It's God's universal standard of right and wrong rooted in our human nature. Therefore, the first religion which God gave to Man was that natural religion which He imprinted on our very nature when He first created us. 

Spiraling Out of Control and Into Darkness

I received a link from a friend this morning which highlights the deepening of wickedness in the Girls Scouts of America.  It sparked a conversation about our own “scouting” experiences as kids.  I told her I had been a member of the Blue Birds and the Camp Fire Girls. 

Just thinking about it reminded me of the cute uniform I wore and I immediately went online to find photos of the vintage outfit. 

My search continued into information about Camp Fire Girls and had me scratching my head a little.  Half way down the rabbit hole by this time, I decided to follow my search a little further and came upon a Q & A link where parents were discussing different “scouting options” for their children.  That’s when things got really wacky.  One mentioned quite casually that Spiral Scouts would be one to consider. 

Spiral cannot be good, I thought, and I was right.  This is a link to the Wikipedia entry for this group.  And this is a link to the Aquarian Tabernacle Church where Spiral Scouts was first formed. 

After reading this article a few days ago on National Catholic Register, I was aware of the tremendous rise in interest of the occult and of pagan beliefs and practices, but I wasn’t prepared for the training of children as young as three into such beliefs. 

Cardinal Wuerl: Liar Extraordinaire and his Enabler is the Pope Himself!

But what about his enabler? We were told last November when the bishops were stymied by Pope Francis in their efforts to deal seriously with the clerical sex abuse scandal that they had to wait for the summit in February. And what did that faux hot meal produce? A huge nothingburger! Once again the victims were paraded to tell their gruesome stories, the bishops beat their breasts, ringmaster Cardinal Cupich did a slick song and dance routine drawing attention from the homosexual elephant in the ring, and the sideshow ended. The audience in the pew failed to applaud. And so things continue. Please, folks, stop enabling these clowns with your money. BOYCOTT THE BLA! There are so many worthy Catholic apostolates that deserve your support. Give to the Little Sisters of the Poor or the FSSP seminary or a local crisis pregnancy center or a Catholic free clinic. And pray and fast this Lent for the purification of Holy Mother Church, the battered Bride of Christ.

LifeSite News has a March 5 article with video posted on their site saying:

 "Democrats read a book about having a 'girl brain but a boy body' on the US House floor last week. To commemorate a day set aside by pro-LGBT lobbyists and the nation’s largest teacher union to promote gender fluidity, two Democrat congresswomen read the infamous transgender children’s book I Am Jazz on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives last Thursday.

"Sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation and the National Education Association (NEA), the fourth annual 'Jazz and Friends National Day of School and Community Readings' is supposedly meant to help 'foster safe and welcoming schools and communities for young people who still rarely hear affirming stories of LGBTQ people,' according to HRC’s website."

What can I say except THREE YEARS AGO I knew that the National Education Association (NEA) was heavily involved in promoting the transgender agenda in public schools, and said so on Les Femmes on March 26, 2016. The article is reprinted in full below.

Vaccine Damage is Real!

The government acknowledges that vaccine injury is real. There is a National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. So before you dismiss parental concerns about the explosion of autism and other serious health problems, do the research. I am not anti-vaccine, but there is no way I would ever allow a newborn to receive the hepatitis B vaccine, for example. That is just plain nuts!
