As you read the nabi’s post, consider that while priests were receiving horrendous indoctrination in the seminaries, laity attending Catholic colleges were also being indoctrinated in modernism. Today, any student attending a Jesuit college is likely to be exposed to gay pride events, queer film festivals, the V-monologues, etc. Only a handful of Catholic colleges teach the faith in all its glory. The attack on reason by the faith wreckers continues while the attacks on the liturgy magnify the destruction. When you see how often promotion of the gay lifestyle is involved, it is reasonable to assume the lavender mafia is a driving force behind the carnage.

The above school is in Warrington, south of Manchester, England. They teach about LGBT relationships and sexual orientation terms BEFORE children have been given general sex education lessons. Parents cannot opt their children out of the LGBT classes because they are part of the mandatory health curriculum.

The curriculum used to teach sodomy to innocent children is Educate and Celebrate, supported by the BBC.

In the video the teacher encourages the children to write a same sex love letter: "You're Prince Henry. You're going to tell Thomas why it's brilliant idea for him to marry you."

Yes, isn't it just brilliant. At the Personal Judgement after God asks her what she did with her life while on Earth, this teacher will say, "I taught sodomy to innocent children, then turned around and persecuted your Church for sodomite activity by the priests. I know that's a double standard, God, but the priests were old enough to know that they shouldn't do that to innocent children."

Most Catholics I know are very familiar with the expression, “Peace be with you.”  And most of us have the impression that we are to bring harmony to the experiences in our lives, in our families, in our careers, in our civic discourse.  We have given ourselves permission to be nice and not ruffle feathers. 

Somehow we pass over the scripture text where Christ tells us living our faith and not just wearing the name badge may very well cause dissension in our own families and with our friends and acquaintances.  We are told to expect these conflicts and to prepare ourselves for them.

There are other ways to fulfill your financial obligation to support the Church than by supporting the rectory renovation.

Have You Swallowed the Modernist Nonsense about the Bible?

Let's start with Adam and Eve. Have you swallowed the poisonous swill about them being a myth? This is a fundamental question. Did God lovingly create our first parents or did he generate them through non-human ancestors, i.e. are we closer to the Planet of the Apes than the city of God?

Think about His great love in providing a spotless home for Baby Jesus in the womb of Mary. Think of Him sending angels to announce the birth. Think of Him inspiring the scientists from the East to come bearing gifts and giving them a sign in the heavens to guide them.

Can you really imagine that same God starting his human family in the womb of a monkey?

DNA evidence now shows we all share genetics from one man and one woman. Science gets a little fuzzy after that about the timeline and location. The Crisis is Much Bigger than the Sex Abuse and Cover Up! It's a Crisis of Fatherhood!

The sex abuse crisis in the Church has focused the spotlight on the evil of what is primarily the homosexual infiltration of the priesthood. Of course there are priests who violate chastity with women, but the overwhelming problem, as evidence continually shows, is ordination of same-sex attracted men, not pedophiles who prey on very young children, but ephebophiles who prey on adolescent boys and young male adults.

But there's more to the crisis than that and an article at First Things by a good priest in our diocese, Fr. Jerry Pokorsky, targeted it. The crisis in the Church is one of the failure of fatherhood. Father writes:

Let's pray there is a mongoose or two among his priests who are interested in protecting children! Why on earth would the pope want to give $25 million to a dermatology hospital, of all places, especially one riddled with corruption? Cardinal Wuerl sent a letter to his priests today talking about "discernment" and saying he's going to Rome to discuss the letter of resignation he presented to the pope three years ago. List of Bishops Callling for Investigations and Action: It's Growing by the Day!

Time for a serious investigation and a cleansing in the Church starting with McCarrick's
 pew mates Joseph Tobin and Blase Cupich, and of course Donald Wuerl wherever he is!

I'm not sure who put together this list, but it's growing by the day. And who is NOT on it is as interesting as who IS. Many bishops are calling for an investigation and are praising the integrity of Archbishop Vigano. Although, frankly, just coming out with a statement supporting an investigation is no proof of orthodoxy and fidelity. For example, Bishop Soto has been a cover-up agent in the Sacramento Diocese as well as giving aid and comfort to pro-abortion politicians. On the other hand he told a "gay" conference in 2008 that homosexual relations are sinful. Some participants walked out. Bishop Konderla is another puzzle. After taking over in Tulsa he threw out the  Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope, a traditional order of nuns. Intolerance for the traditional liturgy in consecrated life is hard to understand. At the same time, Konderla has been a strong advocate for babies in the womb. Sometimes it's hard to sort out the players. Orthodoxy is the great test. Cafeteria bishops have a credibility problem. Anyway, I pass this on. Some of these statements are powerful. Bishop Morlino, Bishop Paprocki, Bishop Olmstead, and Bishop Vasa are among my favorite bishops and, of course, the great Bishop Schneider -- but sadly he is not one of our U.S. bishops. Let's pray one day he'll be ours because we call him Il Papa!

Out of the Shadows and Into the Light: Time to Call Out the Bad Bishops!

Check out the man in the shadows where he has now gone permanently in disgrace, thank God. My cousin Tommy died of AIDS in about 1985.  I can’t remember the year exactly. I was nowhere near him at the time and I did not see him at the end of his life.  My relatives who did say he was unrecognizable, very thin, pale, almost ghostlike.  He was about 36 years old.

It proclaims the eternal truths of Scripture in condemning all such actions, as follows: 

• Homosexual acts are acts of grave depravity. 
• Homosexual acts are objectively disordered. 
• Homosexual acts are contrary to the natural law because they close the sexual act to the gift of life and do not proceed from a genuine effective and sexual complementarity. 
• Under no circumstances can homosexual acts be approved.

My husband is from Wheeling so what happens in the Diocese of Wheeling Charleston always catches my eye. After 48 years of marriage and countless visits to Warwood, the suburb that nurtured my husband and his faith, the area holds a special place in my heart. I can't count the number of Masses, marriages, baptisms, etc. we attended at Corpus Christi. If I close my eyes I can walk up the aisle to "our spot" in the nave and watch the priest come out of the sacristy for daily Mass. I walk out the back of the church and see the park across the street and the "new" church hall on the corner where we attended many festivities and parish events. Down the street I can see the old men's home where Larry's dad spent the last years of his life.

What happens to the Church family in Wheeling, which includes many of Larry's family, my dear in-laws, matters a lot to me. So I was interested to read the email I received below about a meeting in Wheeling held a few days ago to discuss the abuse crisis with concerned laity.

The persecution of good priests continues. No surprise that this story comes from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, a bastion of liberalism that was long headed by Cardinal Roger Mahony. It seems Mahony's legacy of persecuting good priests outlives him under Archbishop Jose Gomez and his auxiliary, Bishop Robert Barron. So here goes....

Two Sundays ago Fr. Juan Carlos Gavancho delivered a homily to the people of Our Lady of Sorrows in downtown Santa Barbara, CA addressing the sex abuse crisis and the Vigano letter. It was a heartfelt and pastoral homily which you can listen to yourself.

Fr. Benedict Groeschel's Order Calls for the Pope to Act

The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, the religious order of dearly beloved friar, Benedict Groeschel, released a letter yesterday to Apostolic Nuncio Christophe Pierre, calling on Pope Francis to institute an investigation into all the charges by Archbishop Vigano -- to either prove or disprove them. They also reiterated the need of bishops to ban from the seminary those with deep-seated homosexual tendencies or those who live or actively promote the gay lifestyle. Amen to that!

We have become a nation of spoiled brats, in a secular world fixed on self, demanding increasingly refined options in all things from cola to laundry detergent, sexual behavior and gender preference.  People are never satisfied.  Always wanting something other, an option more to their liking.  

There is a lot of comfort in knowing there is one way to live your life, in knowing you don't have to be the one to decide what that way will be. That's been done for us by the Church and the path is spelled out in its many doctrines and in the traditions we exercise throughout the day, the week, and the seasons all year long.

Today marks four months since Brendan, our 18-year-old grandson, killed himself.

Four months!

How often I held that precious boy when he was four months old, rocking and feeding him his bottle while his mom worked. I used to put him down for his nap and sing to him while I ran my fingers lightly over his eyelids.

There were no tears then, thinking about him, just smiles. How I loved cuddling and singing and rocking and playing little games -- reaching out to touch his velvet skin, to pick him up out of the crib, to put him on my knee and "ride away to Boston to buy a penny cake."

Catholic Women's Forum has penned a letter to the pope asking for answers following the release of the Archbishop Vigano report. I've signed the letter and I urge all faithful Catholic moms, grandmoms, working women, consecrated religious, etc. to sign it as well.

We write to you, Holy Father, to pose questions that need answers.

We are Catholic women deeply committed to our faith and profoundly grateful for Church teachings, the Sacraments, and the many good bishops and priests who have blessed our lives.

Our hearts are broken, our faith tested, by the escalating crisis engulfing our beloved Church. We are angry, betrayed and disillusioned. The pain and suffering of the victims never ends, as each news cycle brings more horrific revelations of sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, cover-ups, and deceit—even at the Church’s highest levels.  [Read more....]

CANCEL THE YOUTH SYNOD! BISHOPS "HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CREDIBILITY!"

Archbishop Chaput of Philadelphia has called for cancellation of the Youth Synod scheduled for October. Thank God for a voice of reason! At a recent conference he said, “I have written the Holy Father and called on him to cancel the upcoming synod on young people. Right now, the bishops would have absolutely no credibility in addressing this topic!"

What an understatement! Not only that, but it's become clearer and clearer that the agenda for these events is to undermine Church's teaching on a whole panoply of issues. Journalist Edward Pentin who reported on the two synods on the family in 2014-2015 pointed that out at the alternative meeting in Dublin last week during the World Meeting on the Family. (What sad times we live in when orthodox Catholics have to stage alternative meetings to address the dissent and error of the "official" events.) Here's part of what he said in his talk:
