Sunday Meditation: On Living in a Mad, Mad World that Desperately Needs the Truth!

Catch sinners with the golden goose of truth.

For behold, the days shall come, wherein they will say: Blessed are the barren, and the

Well....I'm back from retreat, back to the real world that has become an exaggerated version of the Twilight Zone.

I could say I'm back to the real bizzaro world where Bruce Jenner wants to adopt a baby so he can pretend to be a mommy and women who can be mommies are getting sterilized because they're mad about Roe v. Wade being overturned. It's a head shaker, but on the bright side, a sterilized liberal won't scandalize a poor, innocent child.

Some grammarian will no doubt tell me I'm wrong to use the word "mad" and say the women are "angry." But I use that word "mad" very deliberately. We are living in a mad, i.e. insane, world.

Barrie’s fantasy novel Peter Pan and Wendy to them as malleable children, Tinker Bell’s personality (ill-tempered), freedom of flight (neglect of reality), charm (spoiled), and temperament (vindictive and jealous) were deeply absorbed into their psyches until they, unlike Peter Pan, grew up and became woke liberals. Instead of Peter Pan’s Lost Boys, woke liberals are the 2nd Lost Generation living in a magical fantasy world of their own personal make-believe island (their world view) of Never Never Land.

Into the Silence

I scheduled this post on Monday before I left on my annual five-day silent Ignatian retreat with  Fr. James Buckley of the FSSP. One of the convenient features of blogger is to be able to arrange posts to publish later. And that's what I normally do before I go on retreat. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to schedule any posts except for Part 2 of the Church Militant story, so I'm just leaving this notice. 

I'm on retreat. I won't be publishing any posts or moderating comments. 

So if Susan doesn't post anything, we'll be on silence until I return on Saturday.

This is a totally silent retreat: no screen time, no phones, nothing but an opportunity to encounter the Lord. Just thinking about it fills me with peace. There are always plenty of challenges and this year has been no different. I will be placing all things before the Lord: the good, the bad, and the ugly. 

And listening....... or at least trying to listen. Sometime the interior chatter is worse than the world's noise.

I'll be praying for all our members and visitors to the blog. Many of you are a great consolation to me and I thank God for you.

Please pray for me as well. May God bless us all and pour out His saving grace on our poor world.

Augustine Inferrera, Church Militant's whistleblower, did experience two episodes where a monk supervising the building project, Brother Joseph, lost his temper with the young man and physically assaulted him. The brother was charged with simple assault and had to go to court where he pled guilty and expressed his regret. There were no injuries although Augustine reiterates over and over how "violent" Bother Joseph is (a regular Jack the Ripper) and essentially demanded his expulsion. Augustine claims there was no provocation, but we only hear his side of the story. Apparently there were witnesses. What did they say about the events? Did anyone have to physically pull the mad monk off Augustine?

This episode of The Flashlight will discuss Church Militant (CM) and their two videos, Counterfeit Carmel (CC) and Behind the Spotlight (BS) that target the Wyoming Carmelites as a "scam" hiding what is really a ring of homosexual perverts grooming young novices for abuse in the mountains of Wyoming.

Since the airing of these two hit pieces, push back is coming from former novices who, unlike CM's whistleblower, (He was at the monastery for LESS THAN A MONTH.) spent a combined total of over SEVEN YEARS with the monks some of it overlapping the whistleblower's time there. Tools of the Trade

Susan and I have been chatting lately about starting our own little series called The 
Flashlight. 

Why the flashlight? 

Well, first of all, we can't afford a spotlight. We don't have a green room or whatever they call that green screen that can be used to put up any background. We don't have fancy cameras and videographers to create Hollywood style programming. We're just a couple of women with a blog.

While we lack fancy equipment, we do have pencils, keyboards, and .... flashlights! I even have a cute little lantern I got at an anniversary party that provides the Biblical equivalent of the little bowl of oil with a wick that lights about one step.

I'm old enough to remember when the generals told Congress and the American people we were defeating the Viet Cong, the North Vietnamese communists army. How could it be otherwise? They were slightly-built little guys who slipped around in what looked like black pajamas and sandals while we had helicopters, jets that dropped napalm and agent orange on them and we had lots of artillery. General Westmoreland gave the daily body counts that showed we were training the South Vietnamese Army and winning the Vietnam War. Just give the generals more time and money. And then I remember the terrified Vietnamese on the roof of the U.S. embassy in Saigon as the last U.S. helicopters flew off in ignominious defeat. The Communists inherited billions of dollars of infrastructure (airfields, ports) that we taxpayers had built and the S. Vietnamese, the lucky ones known as "the boat people" managed to board anything that floated and thousands perished at sea. A generation of American men were decimated. To thank the 58,000 killed, mostly conscripts, their government put their name on a wall. The remainder were neglected by their countrymen for serving in a losing war and so many ended up homeless, mentally-ill, or drug addicted. "Thank you for your service" was not in the lexicon.

As the 150 Zulu forces, "30 of whom were sick and wounded patients in the field hospital", hid behind self-made barriers and a few boulders tearfully praying while fearing their last end, their worst nightmare - the 4,000-member NATO Canadian Armed Forces! (OMG!!) - came rushing over the hill dressed in fluffy pink tutus, with rainbow colored hair swirling around their heads like color-wheel halos against the blinding sunlight and long bayonet-like fingernails poised to scratch their eyes out.

Do they expect you to use woke pronouns at work or talk about "pregnant people" like USA Today who demoted David Mastion after he tweeted: "People who are pregnant are also women?" He quit!

In 2017 I wrote an article for Les Femmes titled The Children of Kalergi and reposted it in 2018. The article was about mass migration from Islamic countries (The Great Replacement). So why are political leaders not encouraging Zelensky and company to sue for peace?

Almsgiving with a Clear Conscience: Don't Give to CCHD and Other Judas Catholic Groups!

I occasionally get asked what charities are safe to donate to. I have a few favorites of my own with Aid to the Church in Need, the Poor Clares, and the Little Sisters of the Poor among them. We also support a number of pro-life groups. Sad to say, many of the Catholic groups are among the most egregious when it comes to supporting intrinsic moral evils like abortion and contraception. The Lepanto Institute has a great webpage with reports on various charities both secular and religious. Their reporting on the Catholic Campaign for Human Development and Catholic Relief Services exposes their deep connection to abortion, contraception, and sodomy. Catholic Judas groups often support organizations that help defeat pro-life politicians and elect radical leftists. And they use money from the people in the pews to do it who erroneously believe their hard-earned money is helping the poor and downtrodden. 

Be careful where you donate your money. We are all called to give alms. Let's not give alms to the baby-killers facilitated by a Church bureaucracy gone bad! The Lepanto Institute has a list of safe/unsafe charities both religious and secular. Check it out here.

Blaming Putin For Whatever Is Wrong In My Life

It's all Putin's fault!

My car needs to have an oil change but I haven't taken it to the shop yet. Putin is to blame for that! The cost of automobile oil is so high now that Putin has put his toxic masculinity into play that no one can afford gas anymore, and certainly not oil to go into the car either, so I'm hesitating to buy gas and oil because I don't want to contribute to Putin's war machine. Not doing it!

It's really hot here in Florida this time of year but I refuse to turn the A/C lower than 80 degrees even though it was 102 outside yesterday. I blame Putin directly for my misery! He's to blame that I'm hot and sweaty within my own home because if the air-conditioner is set lower than 80 degrees the electric bill will be far too high and that money - MY money! - will contribute to Putin's war machine. I will NEVER do that! It's totally Putin's fault that the cost of energy is so high and it's all because he wants Americans to fund his war against Ukraine. How stupid does he think I am?!
