As Western intelligentsia and media elites continue to focus upon the fake and inflated refugee crisis among Palestinians, the world’s real refugee crisis, now described as the worst since World War II, is that of Syrian Christians and Yazidis persecuted by ISIS and migrating to Europe by the hundreds of thousands. The cause of this catastrophe is not difficult to grasp unless we rely on the mainstream media, not only today, but also yesterday; that is, the yesterday of 100 years ago.

Good question and good article. Somewhat chilling, however.

Indeed, even when speaking here to his own constituency – his fellow Successors of the Apostles – the Pope couldn’t bring himself to criticize the U.S. Supreme Court’s deplorable 5-4 decision of June 26th! All the Holy Father did was offer some very bland remarks of a more or less sociological nature. The Church, he said, cannot “disregard” the “unprecedented” social, cultural and juridical "changes" that are now having their “effects” (he doesn’t say bad effects) on “family bonds.” He added that since we Christians are not “immune” to social change, well, . . . we’ll just have to get used to this situation in which the sacramental and civil understandings of marriage are no longer as similar as they used to be. The only actual criticism the Pope voiced in this context was directed (yet again!) at social conservatives, not at the rising tide of homophile subversion, militancy and anti-Christian intolerance.

All along the pope has saved his harshest words for "me." I'm that "social conservative" who loves the Church, fights for the unborn and the vulnerable at any stage of life, urges people to reject contraception, encourages big families and home schooling, and debunks the unscientific knee bending at the altars of evolution and climate change.

So where are we going? Only time will tell, but Father's article is a sobering note. Pray for the Synod starting next Sunday and for all the bishops participating that the Holy Spirit will not be overshadowed by the spirit of the age which is decidedly unholy.

Michael Hichborn at the Lepanto Institute is getting the mailed fist in the face for exposing the little wigglies under the bishops' rock over the World Meeting of Families. (Somehow, I don't think that's the rock of the Church Jesus was talking about when he said, "Thou art Peter.") But the homosexual network doesn't just work in Philly. The Archdiocese of New York and Cardinal Dolan had their own homosexual scandal associated with the pope's visit when they let an out and proud (and well-known) homosexual reporter and comedian lector at the papal Mass at Madison Square Garden. Somebody has some serious 'splainin' to do. Cardinal Dolan?

Who exactly recommended and approved this man? Rocca is a reporter and comic. How many people knew exactly how out and proud the lector was? Huffpo was gushing about his participation. No, folks, it was no accident. It was just as deliberate as selecting a woman to play Jesus in the Stations of the Cross when Pope John Paul II came to the U.S. We have an agenda going on at the highest levels of the Church with bishops who have about as much love for Christ and his
flock as Hillary Clinton does for pro-life activists.

If this is true, we are in bigger trouble than I thought. Read more about Danneels here. He favors abortion, same-sex marriage, and the Belgian Church did less than nothing to put impediments in the government's actions to advance assisted suicide and other legislation against life. The group is insisting now that they were NOT a lobby group. Cardinals may not "lobby" for a pope during a conclave. Apparently, it is not unusual before the conclave begins.

For a majority party to go along with all the evils of the minority and a president who can only be described as diabolically committed to killing the innocent has been not only disappointing, but unintelligible. I wish the man well, but will wave him off without a tear. I will also pray that this decision indicates a concern for some of his more irresponsible failures to stand up for the lives of the innocent. It will be interesting to see what he does next.
