Michael Hichborn on the Roots Behind Today's Apostasy: Fight the Spiritus Mundi!

This is well worth your time, especially the section on Teilhard de Chardin's philosophy which has so perverted the beliefs of many.

Muhammad's Ascent Through the Seven Heavens - First Heaven

We continue with Humphrey Prideaux's Life Of Mohamet...
The Seven Heavens of Islam
Muhammad's Description of the First Heaven
“On their arrival at the first heaven, the angel Gabriel knocked at the gate and having told the porter who he was and that he brought Muhammad the friend of God with him by divine command, the gates, which he describes to be of an exceptional size, were immediately opened. This first heaven Muhammad tells us was made of pure silver with stars hanging by chains of pure gold, each being as large as Mount Noho near Mecca in Arabia. In these stars angels kept watch to guard heaven and to keep devils from approaching near for fear that they should overhear and know what was done there in heaven.

“On first entering heaven, Muhammad said he met an old decrepit man, our first father Adam, who immediately embraced him and gave thanks to God for so great a son and then asked Muhammad to pray for him. As he entered further Muhammad said he saw a multitude of angels in all manner of shapes; some angels were in shapes of men, others in shapes of beasts, and others in shapes of birds. Among those who appeared in the several shapes of birds he saw a rooster as white as snow and so large that when his feet stood upon the first heaven his head reached up to the second heaven, which was the distance of five hundred years’ journey according to the rate we usually travel here on earth. However, the people, as they relate the matter of the seven heavens of their prophet, think it was much higher, telling us that the head of this chicken reached up through all the seven heavens as far as to the throne of God.

Muhammad's Fake Night Journey to the Jewish Temple Mount

Muhammad's flight plan
Part 1
Twelve years after Muhammad became a prophet he said that he was physically transported through the sky 775 miles from Mecca to Jerusalem and back again in one night on his winged steed, Al-Borak, which is Arabic for "Lightning". [Likewise, when I was a child, I believed that there was a man with a beard who could travel right around the world in one night on a sleigh pulled by magic reindeer.]

This particular story of Muhammad’s supposed Night Journey(Lailat-al-Miraj) is taken from The Life of Mohamet written in 1697 by Humphrey Prideaux and reprinted in 1808. Undeniably the older a book written about Islam the more clear the information since it would have been written closer in time to actual events and during an era when no political correctness existed. This book was typeset in old English therefore the following is “translated” into more readable English for ease of understanding.

Islamsplaining

A tree bears the fruit of Islam to the world.
Islam isn't hard to understand once a person has it figured out and since I have it figured out I will explain it to you.

THE BASICS
ALLAH
Allah is Lucifer. Islam is the established religion of Lucifer where he sets himself up to be worshiped as the one true God in place of the Holy Trinity. And Muhammad is Lucifer's prophet. Muhammad's "Gabriel" isn't St Gabriel the Archangel as Muhammad was fooled into thinking. Muhammad's "Gabriel" was Lucifer making himself appear as St Gabriel the Archangel. Lucifer, appearing as Gabriel, beat the terrified Muhammad into submission in the cave on Hira. He literally beat the Quran into Muhammad. That's where the word Islam comes from - it means submission. Submission to Lucifer.

A Saint for Our Time: Terrorism, Invasion, and Political Upheaval Marked St. Augustine's Life!

Today is St. Augustine's feast day. I generally do a little research about the saint whose feast day we're celebrating. Today it was St. Augustine, the Bishop of Hippo. His early life of licentiousness certainly is a common mark of many in our time. His embrace of heresy certainly links him even to many of our clergy, although that was before his conversion unlike his bishop brethren of the modern age whose careers of lust and greed have so scandalized the faithful.

Augustine lived in tumultuous times. That's another link to us. Here's what I read at the Columbia College website:
When Augustines' pupil Possidius came to compose a biography of his master (which still survives), he spent little time detailing his master’s ideas; instead, he wanted to highlight for posterity all of the manifold controversies and personal dangers faced by Augustine throughout his life. So we hear, for example, about terrorists called Circumcellions from the so-called Donatist heresy, who launched raids on Catholic churches with a crude tear gas made of lime juice and vinegar, and allegedly laid an ambush to kill Augustine himself. Finally, Augustine lived to see the catastrophic invasion of Africa by the Vandals, and Possidius gives a vivid picture of the struggle to assemble and safeguard his works amidst the general destruction. Possidius’ biography also appends a letter in which Augustine encourages anxious bishops not to flee, so as to provide a ‘place of refuge’ for the displaced. The psychological conflicts depicted in the Confessions are intense, but also largely interior and personal. It is salutary, then, to remember that Augustine was far from detached from the political upheavals that marked the period in which he lived.

King Jorge Bluster from South America

King Phineas when he was
a Prince with a red hat
Phineas T Bluster was a puppet character in the American children's television program Howdy Doody (1949-1960) hosted by Buffalo Bob Smith. Phineas, the resident skinflint and Howdy's nemesis, was one of the Bluster triplets. Don Jose Bluster was the South American brother (living in Buenos Aires, I think, where everyone called him Jorge Bluster.)

However, for the purposes of this fairy tale, we'll pretend that Don Jorge Bluster and King Phineas T Bluster are one and the same puppet person.

The black print article (02/17/17) is from Brietbartthe red is a fairy tale.

In an impassioned address Friday, Pope Francis denied the existence of Islamic terrorism, while simultaneously asserting that “the ecological crisis is real.” In a kingdom far away on a hill lived a king named King Phineas T. Bluster. When the former king "retired" to a dungeon and King Phineas ascended the throne, he told his subjects, "Just call me Phineas," and so it is to this day.

Albany's Bishop Hubbard and the "deal" with the Orlando Chancery

Fr Tony Maione of Albany, NY,
known as Mr Tony Maione in Orlando
In light of the recent stories of Bishop Hubbard and his ultra-sodomite diocese of Albany, NY, HERE and HERE and HERE regarding his "withdrawal from public ministry", I thought it pertinent to repost the following article which clearly shows longtime sodomite shenanigans, underhanded deals and brazen chutzpah of the gay mafia.

One of Bishop Hubbard's presumed sodomite priests was "shuffled" to Florida and hired by the Diocese of Orlando as the Associate Diocesan Director of Religious Education in charge of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. No one in Orlando, least of all any of the Orlando priests, knew that Mr Tony Maione was indeed a priest...except Bishop Dorsey, (RIP), and Sr Linda Gaupin, who was at the time the Diocesan DDRE who hired Maione.

"Put Respectful Pressure on the Leadership of the Church!" Overpower the Evil One with Good.

Get busy, Church Militant. Pray and work for the salvation of souls. We need transparency, an end to the chaos of confusion, and a renewal of hearts and minds. Love the truth, share the truth, and strive for holiness. It isn't hard -- cooperate with God's grace. He gives it to us freely if we just ask for it. Yes, life is hard. But love of God makes it, not only bearable, but a joy.

The Red Rose Rescues: Saving Lives, One Baby at a Time

Pray the rescue rosary!
I'm a rescuer. I was arrested a few dozen times from the mid 1970s through the 1990s. At one "mothers rescue," several of us went into an Alexandria abortion mill with our little babies strapped to our bodies in carriers and slings. Our children witnessed to everyone in a powerful way the reality of the little ones we were there to save. It was the one rescue where we weren't arrested.

Rescuers are a little like Marines: once a rescuer, always a rescuer. A rescuer's heart cradles the little ones in danger of abortion...and their moms...and all the others involved in the holocaust including the hired hit men and women. Rescuers don't want anyone to be destroyed, either physically or spiritually. We pray for conversion of hearts!

The rescue movement has changed over the years. In the '70s the action was small groups going into the facilities and blocking the doors. I was involved in a number of those and spent time in the Alexandria and Arlington jails as a result.

The Housewife, She Was, In Fact, More Important Than We Knew

 https://t.co/8Uxj4SZSpu https://twitter.com/KTHopkins/status/1154653183765073920?s=17

I listened to this and read some of the tweets.  When the state not only decides but mandates what our children are taught and people are forced/taxed to pay for a system they do not agree with, we are in fact a socialist society.  This is happening not just in Great Britain but in our country as well.  The sex education curriculum in our schools is appalling.
There was no need for a violent revolution.  We gave them our children and they trained them up to be comrades.

The Strategy of Silence

At our old house in Alexandria a beautiful old willow oak graced the front yard. It was the biggest tree in the neighborhood. I didn't love it so much in the fall when we were raking leaves, but the rest of the year it was my pride and joy. I loved to see its skeleton in the winter as it rested and the fresh chartreuse leaves in the early spring. It provided shade in the summer and a colorful display in autumn.

The year before we moved to the Shenandoah Valley (2001), my husband and I were standing at the front door during a violent thunderstorm when a huge flash and explosion shocked us! A bolt of lightening struck the willow and later we saw that it had actually blown the bark off one side of the tree. The tree "doctor" who came to examine the willow said to water and feed it and give it a year to see if it could come back. We sold the house when the leaves were just starting to come out. Things didn't look good, and when we returned to the neighborhood some time later our beautiful willow oak was gone.

Fr. Tom Collins talks about Truth and Lies.

“Truth is treason in the empire of lies.”
John Pilger – Attorney for Julian Assange

As the McCarrick scandal has dramatized, this observation seems to apply even to Church government, some of whose members continue to penalize those who have dared to expose the truth about how various ecclesiastical “safe environments” have been provided over the years to give canonical and legal protection to predatory priests and prelates.

On Suffering as a Universal Dilemma: Stephen Fry vs. Robert Barron

Stephen Fry vs. Robert Barron
In 2015, comedian Stephen Fry, an atheist, got into a rant responding to a question from a reporter who asked this question. If Fry is wrong and meets God after death, what would he say to Him?

Not surprisingly, the finger-pointing began with all the usual accusations about senseless suffering, children with cancer, etc. Fry in his wisdom judges God and finds Him wanting. Bishop Robert Barron (Fr. Barron at the time.) took Fry's comments as an opportunity to address what for many is a challenge to belief in a good God or in any God at all. Why suffering?

"...and the children of Fatima were shown this YouTube video of Hell."

Look and see what Hell is like. Here it is in the form of globalist abortion activists frenzied with satanic hatred for children in the womb. These women are in South America, the ancient home of child sacrifice upon the altars of the Incas. They have reverted back to the former pagan religion of their forefathers, which as we clearly see, is demonic.

On July 13, 1917, the Blessed Mother showed the three children of Fatima a vision of Hell which Lucia later described thus: The rays of light seemed to penetrate the earth, and we saw as it were a sea of fire. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke now falling back on every side like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals.

The hour is late. Know that since the Church remained silent for the past 60 years on the subject of abortion, these feminist globalist abortion activists are the future. If globalists (Communists) gain control, abortion will be mandatory, as in China, where the Church and the culture of life have no voice.

I LOVE SATIRE! Think I'll call myself the Babylon Beekeeper.

A few of my readers at the Babylon Beekeeper
Have you heard the one about the fact checker who labeled as fake news the story that said CNN just bought a washing machine to spin the news? It was actually a blender!

Really, the goofs at Snopes have a vendetta against the satire site, The Babylon Bee. They've been labeling their articles "fake news." Because some people take the Bee seriously, Snopes claims the website is a fake news outlet despite the fact that it's clearly identified as a satire site.

Snopes does this of course, not because some people take the articles seriously, but to undermine the Bee's ability to continue. The tech giants use algorithms to censor groups that spread "fake news." They are notorious for censoring, defunding, and deplatforming conservative sites as well which the Bee is. (Chronicles Magazine had a great article on this in the July issue. I personally recommend the magazine as a faithful chronicler of our cultural morass and entertaining as well.)

Globalism is Newspeak for Communism

Soon it will be too late to whine and complain at what the pit vipers have accomplished, slithering into place ready to strike, while we were in a trance watching TV. How can we not know what's going on? (Think football and the Communist sympathizers not standing for the National Anthem) Can't we see the hatred? (The now cancelled movie The Hunt) The progress? (From Cuba to now Venezuela and most recently - today - Hong Kong) The eradication of all borders in America and Europe? (Globalism) Have we lost our eyesight? Can't hear? Don't care? Think nothing will ever happen here in America? Spoiler alert: the revolution is happening right now as you read this.

George Weigel Links the Amazon Synod and the Desert Wasteland of Dachau

Bl. Karl Leisner 1915-1945
As the Pan Amazon pundits think about how they can undermine the faith and reach their agenda of married priests, women deacons (with an eye on ordaining women to the priesthood next), and an"integral ecology" of pantheism, George Weigel offers an inspiring lesson from history about a young deacon ordained in the unlikely environment of a death camp.

Weigel's article leads to questions. How does one keep the faith alive in a hostile environment? Are the "suggestions" in the Pan Amazon document likely to invigorate or further damage the faith? I think the answer to that question is obvious! The Pan Amazon synod is a disaster! What can we do about it? Now that is a question to ponder often and seriously as the synod approaches!

Catholics have always lived in hostile times somewhere in the world if not our own local communities. Could there be a more hostile environment than the German death camp at Dachau? Wiping out the priesthood (which appears to be on the agenda for the synod) was certainly on the Nazis' list of priorities. But even in that wasteland, God entered with His power to overcome evil with good.

Fr. Tom Collins: Do the Bishops Wink at Human Sacrifice to Save the Planet?

Social justice means loving our Sister, Mother
Earth. Didn't you read Laudato Si?
Editor's comment: In view of the upcoming Pan Amazon Synod which promotes a pagan world view putting mankind on the same level as ants, fungus and other forms of life in the rain forest, Fr. Tom's article has particular relevance.
Are the pope and the bishops so caught up in the politically correct issues of "integral ecology", global warming, etc. that they devalue human life in favor of the life of the planet? And what does that say about the secular social justice agenda?
A few weeks ago I asked the question, What is Social Justice Anyway? If you asked your bishop that question, what do you think he would say?

Sacrilege at a Portland Parish as Foolish Old Farts Interrupt the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass!

A meeting of the Foolish Old Farts society? Hey folks, age is supposed to bring wisdom!
Ah...progressive Catholics. What a gift they are to the Church. Like Judas they bring into strong relief the difference between truth and error, fidelity and rebellion. And so, dear readers, I give you today a group of loony-tune, self-professed Catholics who want to create their parish in their own image and likeness rather than God's. But a protest during holy Mass? No Catholic hearts among these geriatrics! As they say, "There's no fool like an old fool.

Preparing for the Synod Wrecking Ball? First Thing: Consider yourself dirt!

We are not called to be saints of God,
but are called to be earth, and sky, and fire...
Well, after all, as the Ash Wednesday exhortation says, "Remember, man, that you are dust and unto dust you shall return." But somehow I don't think the Synod planners were thinking of that. As a matter of fact here's an article that pretty much pegs exactly what these pagans in Roman collars seem to be thinking!

Five Ways to Prepare for the Amazon Synod

As Topsy and Tuptim pointed out, the Synod is all about establishing one-world religion under one-world government. The author of this article, Julia Meloni, gets it. Do you?

Here are her "Five Ways:"

Shhh....I'm reading a book I bought for a Christmas Present -- The Three Marks of Manhood!

Men, you are called to be priest, prophet and king of your family!
I confess it. I'm OCD. If I buy a book I can rarely release it from my hot little hands until I've read it.

That creates real problems when I've bought it for a gift, because I need enough time to read it before I wrap it and give it away. I also can't read it drinking a cup of coffee or eating lest I splatter the pages with brown coffee stains or red spaghetti sauce. And heaven forbid I take it in the bathtub. Who wants a book with water marked, dog-eared pages?

The Virtue Signaling Left Won't be Advertising the Death Threats to this Family...for What?....

....For daring to be grateful to the Trumps for offering consolation to the families of the El Paso victims. The young man in the photo below is the brother of the baby's dad and the guardian of his little nephew. Both of the little one's parents were killed in the Walmart massacre as they shielded him with their own bodies. Next we'll see the parents blamed for their own deaths because they were Trump supporters.

The hate-Trump. virtue-signalling leftists love to posture as oh-so-loving-and-compassionate. It's the hate-filled deplorables, they tell us, who deserve to be sent to the death camps...or beheaded...or hunted for entertainment...or merely proclaimed to be Nazis because we support a man with whom they disagree.

Sunday Meditation: Do You Feel Like Everything is Falling Apart? Embrace Hope!

What's new?

When Charles Dickens opened his Tale of Two Cities with, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times," he was talking about the French Revolution, but also his own age...and ours!

Every age is the "best of times;" every age is the "worst of times."

Think about it. We live in an age of incredible medical advances. We can live longer and healthier lives if we choose to be sensible in our choices and habits. Debilitating infirmities like serious joint problems that left one nearly crippled only a few decades ago, can now be repaired with knee, hip, and shoulder replacements. If we lose teeth we can get implants and continue to eat our favorite foods. Diseases, incurable and a death sentence only a generation ago, are treatable and even curable today. Cancer patients live longer. Seventy is the new fifty.

Topsy and Tuptim Review the Pan Amazon Document from Beginning to End and Survive!

The Synod targets the priesthood and the Church!
Topsy and Tuptim finally finished reading and discussing the Instrumentum Laboris for the Pan Amazon Synod taking place in October, the month dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary. It's a Lepanto moment for all of us that calls for prayer warriors to defend the faith.

The meetings, documents, previous synods, and off-the-cuff interviews with Pope Francis that preceded this latest assault target Holy Mother Church for destruction. That is nothing new. But the organized march through the institution by clerics and religious with the media blitz from the likes of Fr. James Martin may very well be.

Topsy and Tuptim Wrap Up their Synod Study with Prayers to Our Lady of Good Success

Arriving at Natural Bridge, Topsy and Tuptim take the picnic lunch out of the car, pick up drinks at the snack bar, and go down to the path where they find a bench in the shade. Nearby is a simulated Monacan Indian village.

What would St. Dominic Think about our Modern Albigensians and the Gruesome Horror Flick, The Hunt?

We need St. Dominic's inspiration
in our warfare against today's heretics!
Today is St. Dominic's feast day. I've had a special friendship with St. Dominic from childhood when I chose him to be my confirmation saint in fifth grade. And what a faithful friend he's been to me.

Over the years I've done a lot of speaking (preaching?) on pro-life both in formal talks and sidewalk counseling and conversations. I think St. Dominic is always by my side when I field difficult questions and deal with difficult situations. I thought of him today and about his confrontation with the "liberals" of the Middle Ages. Among them were the Albigensian heretics.

Old heresies never die! Our era is overrun with modern Albigensians and the latest illustration is a gruesome horror flick scheduled for release in September. The theme of The Hunt involves kidnapping "deplorables" and making them the prey of elite big game hunters. Sometimes, Hollywood is honest about their evil!

We've had so many grandchildren enjoying their cousins this summer...

...it seems appropriate to reflect on this mystery of the rosary and to thank the Lord for the blessing of family and the delight the cousins take in one another. We are saying good-bye to our daughter today and relishing the memory of all the fun and laughter of visiting families, the celebration of three birthdays, the smiles, the memories from the past, the night prayers (not to mention night swimming), and all the joy that life can bring even in the midst of a evil culture.

Fr. Tom Collins: Racist Planned Parenthood Happily Slaughters Hispanic Babies!

I offer the observations below for your consideration:More Hispanics were killed by Planned Parenthood abortionists on August 3rd than were killed at the El Paso Wal-Mart that day. But Catholic pro-abortion politicians publicly and repeatedly assert that one can support the continuing slaughter of Hispanics in the womb and still be a faithful Catholic. Thus they seem to be saying that it was not the slaughter of innocent Hispanics that was wrong, but rather where and how they were being slaughtered.

"Never Let a Serious Crisis Go to Waste!" How Long, O, Lord?

If there's one thing ingrained in the liberal heart (It often isn't love -- except love of money and power.) it's Saul Alinsky's principle to never let a serious crisis go to waste. Alinsky didn't put it quite that way. That was left to his philosophical descendent, Rahm Emmanuel, who often seems to be channeling Alinsky.

Children being children

The Church and entire world seem to be on the verge of blowing up so I decided to watch a few YouTube videos to take my mind off everything and discovered the following videos of children just being children. So pure, so innocent, so funny. Enjoy.

From Dale Ahlquist: G.K. Chesterton Should be Numbered Among the Saints

G.K. Chesterton Should
Be Numbered Among the Saints
Statement from Dale Ahlquist, President, Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (August 5, 2019 – Feast of Our Lady of the Snows)

On August 1, 2019, at the 38th Annual Chesterton Conference, held this year in Kansas City, I read to the 500 attendees the following letter from Bishop Peter Doyle of Northampton, England, a man who has always shown me the greatest kindness and respect:

Monday Morning Musings: Three Articles that Caught my Eye!

Gilbert and Frances Chesterton
I'm pretty eclectic in my reading and, as I took a look at this morning's headlines and read back issues The Wanderer these articles caught my eye.

First -- on Chesterton -- since I went to our local Chesterton group meeting on Saturday
A few days ago, the bishop of Northampton, Peter Doyle, released a letter explaining his decision not to open a cause for sainthood for Chesterton. Among the reasons he gave was that Chesterton was anti-semitic. It's a ridiculous charge, but these days if one says a single word of criticism against Israel or Zionism or anything related to Judaism, one is often smeared with the accusation. The same thing happens with other nonsense in the culture. If you oppose killing babies you're a misogynist who hates women. If you oppose same-sex marriage you're a hate-filled homophobe. Like Jesus said, if you follow Him the world will hate you!

Topsy and Tuptim Ask if the Synod is a Bridge Too Far!

The Shenandoah Valley seen from Int. 81
Topsy and Tuptim travel to Natural Bridge and Safari Land to celebrate the twenty year anniversary of their friendship and finish reflecting on the Pan-Amazon Instrumentum Laboris. On the ride down, Route 81 they begin by discussing Part 3, chapter 4.

Tuptim: (Who's driving...) Did you know that Interstate 81 has a reputation as one of the most scenic interstates in the country? I love the Shenandoah Valley! It's so pastoral with all the farmland...and the mountains on either side. This year, with all the rain everything is sooooo green. Oh...look at the sheep. Aren't they sweet?

Social Justice: What is it Anyway?

Is this the path to social justice?
Ah...so much to study, so little time. I've been wanting to research "social justice" for a long time. It's become the mantra of liberals who seem to define it as open borders, abortion on demand without apology as a civil right, and "free" everything from health care to college. Social justice is social-ism in their vocabulary, government-enforced redistribution of income to make everybody an equal comrade.

Liberals always talk about taxing the rich, but end up robbing the pockets of the middle class to achieve their goals. As my dad used to say, "There just aren't enough rich people!" The real target must be the massive middle. And, of course, capitalism in their book, by nature, is evil, which it certainly can be when it exploits workers making them wage slaves. But socialism does exactly the same thing by its nature! The worker is nothing but a mere creature of the state, a cog in the government machine.

But what is social justice...really?

The War on Men in the Church: Where have all the Young Men Gone?

Where have all the young men gone?
Certainly not to the Knights of Columbus!
Remember the anti-war song, Where Have All the Flowers Gone? I read an article at Crisis Magazine this morning, No Parish for Real Men, that made me think of it and the war in the Church.

The song asks, "Where have all the young men gone?" Catholics could well ask that question of their bishops. The attack on the faith doesn't just involve an attack on doctrine, the liturgy, reverence, etc. It's an attack on manhood.

In my own parish, most of the lectors, cantors, and extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist are women. We don't have altar girls, thank God, but adult men seem to have disappeared from most parish roles outside the Knights of Columbus. And even that organization looks more and more like a refuge for the geriatric set. In Europe the pews are empty except for old women fingering their rosaries. Thank God for grandmothers, but our boys need male role models vigorously defending the faith. There's a man crisis in the Church and that translates to a Catholic crisis in the family. [Read more here.]
